“Went for my sister's birthday dinner with the family waitress Teagan was awesome and so was the food Loved that they had so many gluten free options. They even had free birthday dessert. Highly recommend ?Dietary restrictions: Loved how they had so many gluten free options usually have a hard time finding restaurants with gluten free option here they had a whole gf menu and even baked my yam fries tto ensure no cross contamination“
“I went down on Sunday for the first time for a meat draw that was a lot of fun. They had 4 draws, breakfast specia,l drink specials. It was a fun way to spend the afternoon. The place is quite rustic with a horse ranch out behind. You'll see some pictures of the horses. I liked the rustic feel. Really enjoyed my day.“
“Very good service from some beautiful ladies! The food was delicious and served within ten minutes from ordering, generous helpings made the two appetizers enough for two men with an appetite! I will be back for the food and the eye candy ?“
“I have had the “ cajun chicken” from multiple restaurants. I would have to say Sammy’s has the best Cajun chicken. Last time I had the blackened chicken it was too charred for my liking. I let my server Ariana know about my previous experience and she handle it perfectly. I believe Amed was the cook who made my chicken. The chicken was seasoned to perfection, super juicy and I love the creole butter.“
“Sunday Brunch is lovely. The lady making the omelettes is very good. The selection of food is great, the coffee is excellent. Just one thing which seems to be common with so many buffets - the plates are always cold! By the time you get to your table, the food can get cold as well. Not so bad here, but some kind of warming tray/system would be much appreciated.“
“Met friends for Happy Hour. We had the Brussel sprouts, 2 taco trios and nachos. We shared and there was plenty for the 4 of us. We even took some home. Everything was delish especially the brussel sprouts. Great Happy Hour menu and prices. Francis, the manager was wonderful as were the rest of the staff. Reasonably priced wine as well. Great to have a neighborhood pub that is so good!“
“It was our first time at Charcoal and Woodz. The place was very nice and the staff were very good. We would go back there again for a meal. We both had the steak and lobster and it was very good, we had the tomato basil soup and it was nice and hot.“
“First and perhaps most importantly... The Reach has plastic straws, this point alone deserves six or seven stars... but there is much more that this great pub has to offer. The food is good too and the service is also great. It is LOUD, but this is to be expected in a pub. I'll be back for sure. I highly recommend that you try them out, too. It's probably one of the better pubs in Maple Ridge!“
“A Beacon of Kindness: Samara at Moxie'sI recently found myself in a challenging situation when my car broke down, leaving me stranded and feeling quite disheartened. I decided to wait for a tow truck at Moxie's. Little did I know, my experience would be transformed by the extraordinary kindness of Samara, a server who went above and beyond to make my day brighter. From the moment I entered the restaurant, Samara greeted me with a warm smile and genuine concern, immediately making me feel welcomed and cared for.Throughout the entire meal, Samara's attentiveness and compassion were truly remarkable, even amidst the busy evening rush. She took the time to engage in conversation, offering words of encouragement and empathy that meant the world to me. What struck me most about Samara was her genuine kindness and empathy, as she ensured that my dining experience was not just enjoyable but also comforting during a challenging time.Beyond her exceptional service, Samara's act of kindness reminded me of the profound impact that a single individual can have on someone's day. Her simple gestures of compassion and understanding turned what could have been a lonely and disheartening experience into one filled with warmth and positivity. I left Moxie's that day feeling uplifted and grateful, thanks to the unwavering kindness of Samara.“
