“My recent visit to KFC in Canada, now serving Halal food, left me with mixed feelings. As someone familiar with KFC outlets in the Middle East and Far East, I was expecting a similar level of quality and service, especially since they’ve just started offering Halal options. However, my experience was somewhat underwhelming.

The first thing I noticed upon entering was that the restaurant didn’t have the polished look and feel I had come to associate with KFC in other regions. The floor was noticeably dirty, giving the place a neglected vibe. This was disappointing, considering KFC’s reputation as a global fast-food chain that generally maintains higher standards of cleanliness and customer experience.

As for the food, it was a far cry from the fresh, crispy chicken I had been accustomed to. The chicken seemed old and reheated, lacking the juicy tenderness that KFC is known for. Instead of the signature crunch and warmth, the pieces felt like they had been sitting out for a while, which significantly affected the taste. For a place that had just introduced Halal food, I had expected much more in terms of quality.

Overall, my first visit didn’t meet the expectations I had based on my previous experiences with KFC. I hope they address these issues in the future, as the introduction of Halal options is a big draw for many customers. With some improvements in food quality and cleanliness, this outlet could reach the same standard as its international counterparts.“
