“Delicious coffee. The owners are knowledgeable and friendly. Got some good advice on making a french press coffee at home. The surroundings are cosy and the place is immaculate. On the days i schlep into Courtenay, the veggie breakfast wrap is such a treat. I am really glad they decided to move to the Valley.“

“We didn’t try the food but it looked fantastic! Freshly baked goodness by a local bakery.Coffee and service were wonderful. I had an oat matcha and an oat cold brew.The cafe has a lovely atmosphere with in door and outdoor seating. We sat in the sun on the deck to enjoy our drinks, and they were so tasty and affordable we purchased another drink and relocated inside to the seated bar to work on our laptops.A very pleasant cafe :)
Wheelchair accessibility: Flat entrance with a double door that opens up which can fit prams and wheelchairs through.“

“We were at Filberg last night for dinner and it was honestly one of the best tasting meals I’ve had. I had the vegetarian meal and the flavours were out of this world. My 3 dining companions all had something different but were all very impressed with the meal and the full experience. 3 of us topped it off by having the lemon possett dessert- outstanding! Can’t wait to go back.“

“The nicest kindest place with the tastiest coffee! We ordered two coffees and a sandwich but left without the sandwich. Totally on us, we were chatting and distracted. When we went back an hour later they replaced it no questions and were so kind about it! Incredible service!“

“I’ve seen the team at Tim Hortons in action - fast, friendly, and always serving with a smile. I don’t visit often since it’s out of my way, but every time I do, my coffee is always made right. At other places, it’s usually a hit or miss, but here, I don’t even have to worry about it. I also know from my wife, who works there, how much effort they put into making sure every customer has a great experience. Big respect for their hard work!“

“Finding a gluten free breakfast on the go is always difficult, but in airports it’s next to impossible. On The Fly has the most delightful gluten free spanakopitas though and I was shocked! They also have oat and almond milk for drinks and they are so kind and genuinely happy. Made for a very happy celiac :) thank you.“

“I didn’t get their name. But I treated myself to a morning coffee this morning around 6:30 am. I was tired and was on my way to work. And the barista working had too much energy! They are welcomed me and uplifted my spirit which encouraged me to have a good day. We need more people like them! They are an amazing person! Cheers to them!!“

“Your one stop shop for all your tea needs. Not only do they have the best quality teas, they also have delicious flavoured mixes that only use natural flavours. In my opinion this is the best tea shop in BC! (I once heard it recommended as the best tea shop ever in the airport in Vancouver.)“

“Understanding restaurant and the industry as much as I do I can see a fair standing point of only having 1 person on for slow days. However that cost vs the cost of a customer being satisfied should never be outweighed.Regardless of probably more than the countless times of being slammed with orders of drinks and food, it's quite appreciated to see that even when being overwhelmed still service is applied with smile. Kudos to all your staff. ?“
