Their bubble tea is the best in New Westminster — creamy, flavorful, and perfectly sweet! I also tried their croffles and kakanin, and wow, what a treat! The Filipino desserts reminded me of home, especially the halo-halo, which was so refreshing.

They now serve hot steamed buns (Siopao) and shaken teas, which are must-tries! You can really taste the love in their food and drinks. 💕

The staff are friendly, warm, and always greet you with a smile. Whether you're Filipino or not, Kabayan Cafe makes everyone feel welcome.

“Hands down one of my fave spots in New West. Their 1L drink deal is the best—super worth it, especially if you love bubble tea as much as I do lol. Even though the shop’s pretty small and it gets busy, the staff are always on it and keep things moving. Tons of drink options too, so there’s always something new to try. Drinks are always good and the pearls are just right. Definitely recommend!“

I like their passion fruit tea with honey jelly, a perfect combo of sour & sweet flavors, I love the texture of the jelly & passion fruit seeds, yep, so you know it's not just the passion fruit powder but the real thing. They have medium size mango green tea at $2.99 in case you want to give it a try. 30% sugar is my suggestion.“

However, I ordered Kung Pao combo for takeout. I got home and was disappointed with the amount of food for $21.something. So, I returned to the establishment and expressed my concern. I was told that it looks like a smaller amount because they changed containers. Bull duty!
Yeah, they changed containers, however, they started serving smaller amounts in those larger containers.
