“Doesn't deserve the bad reputation, imo. Food has almost always been great from here, service may not be the fastest at times but such is the industry nowadays. My main complaint is the KFC delivery, I make sure to use Uber or pick mine up myself at this point.
Parking: Their own parking lot is a bit beat up, drive slow“

“The photo doesn’t do this burger justice. I had the spicy chicken burger, and it was actually pretty solid. The chicken was crunchy on the outside, juicy inside, and had a nice spicy kick that lingered just right. Decent size too. Honestly, with a chicken burger this good, I don’t see why anyone would bother going to that big fried chicken chain across the street.“

“amazing food 10/10 would recommend. the staff was so friendly i felt so welcome as i ordered some delicious fried chicken. As I began to process the fumes of the chicken coming though my nostrils, i immediately fell in love. i savored the fried chicken until the last bite. All the spices blend so well to create a magnificent plate of chicken. its basically a work of art on a plate.“

“It is much better than Nandos. Very moist chicken. They have selection of 7 flavors from mild to very hot etc. If you like Nandos give Peri Peri Shake a try you will love it“

“One of the best chicken I have had the other night. Portion is good as well. Medium spicy wasn't spicy but it's pretty subjective.
Overall good chicken. There was only one server and she was taking care of seating/orders/bills/payments n all. Free covered parking“

“As a Korean, I seriously need to eat Yangnyeom chicken regularly—you know what I mean? :)
I know Chicko Chicken’s Yangnyeom chicken is actually pretty close to the traditional sweet-style Yangnyeom, but honestly… the quality really depends on each store.
That’s why I’m so happy I found this good Chicko location!
The staff and owner were super kind, and the chicken tasted SO good 👍
I even live near Metrotown, but I honestly don’t mind spending extra time to come to this branch instead of going to others.“

“This is my third time coming to this restaurant, that says something. All korean chicken restaurants I’ve been to, this was the best in terms of taste and value of your money. The serving is big compare to other korean chicken restaurants.“

“** Update in Feb 2026, still the best korean chicken place in the Lower Mainland. Can't believe how this place has no line up. May be due to its location? ** Visited this place a few times. I tried most of Korean chicken joints in the Lower Mainland, and I have to say this one is by far the best. Light crispy batter and juicy chicken. Portion size is great, the flavour is fantastic, cooked to perfection. Their burgers are (very classic) also really good with great tasting patties and soft buns. I am sad. This place is not very close to my home but it's probably a good thing as I would come too often. If you want the best Korean chicken, try this place. ** update April 20, 22: they are open again! **“

“Oolala Chicken is way better when you dine in rather than getting takeout or delivery.
I tried the new Machoking flavor (BHC-style Machoking), and it was so good I literally scraped the sauce clean. It officially became my new favourite!! I used to love the mala flavour, but this one took its place.
Sometimes there can be a slight smell with chicken, but ordering strong-flavored options like mala or Machoking really covers it well and makes it much better overall.
Highly recommend dining in for the best experience.“

The owner was so friendly and warm — you can really feel the care they put into the food and service.

“I highly recommend their chicken marinades. Nice variety, very flavourful and very fresh. The chicken always cooks wonderfully. The gentlemen there are always attentive and kind to me, as well.
Most recently during a visit, there was a miscommunication (which was my fault) asking about the breasts being sliced to allow the marinade to fully envelope the chicken (which they do to all the chicken breasts) and the man assisting me thought I wanted the chicken breast further sliced into smaller pieces. He left momentarily and went to do this for me, but then when I discovered what happened, they allowed me to take the other intact breasts and said they will find a use for the other chicken that was cut. A very kind gesture to accommodate my preference even though it was my fault. They’ve earned a loyal patron in me. Thanks again!“

“Seen many Korean street side chicken places on You Tube. Decided to give this a try for the first time . Went to the location on Canada Way. Ordered the family Sweet Soy Chicken & Fries Took awhile to prepare the food (15 mins) No wonder ,huge amount of chicken box was packed full. Large pieces very flavorful, not greasy at all like Churches grease feast j chicken . Fries were amazing .I found a new go to place to buy chicken for a game . A tad pricey, buy I assure you very well worth the money . If this place franchises, they will give KFC & Churches very serious condition . My first time there , highly impressed. I highly recommended you try this. Will not be disappointed. Very pleasant staff. Simple decor, but the service & food will amaze you . Thank you so very much for an amazing meal. I will definitely will be returning . Added a picture, this is after 3 people eating Big pieces and loads left ... Go visit this place . You won't regret it !!!“

“Mom and I got the combo with the chicken, biscuit fries, and waiting for tenders, and let me tell you, I was in a food coma within minutes 🤯excited to take a picture with my mom🤣. The service was fast and friendly, and the prices? 💸 Totally worth it! If you're a fan of not spicy food, you NEED to try Popeyes ASAP 🚀. “If you're craving bold flavor and perfectly grilled chicken, Nando's is THE place to go! Their Peri-Peri is absolutely superb/ smokey, tangy, spicy, and incredibly addictive. It's the kind of flavor that hits you in the best way and keeps you coming back for more.
The chicken is always juicy and cooked just right, with that signature flame-grilled taste you can't replicate at home. And sauces? Nect level. Whether you like it mild or extra hot, there's a heat level for everyone- but fair warning: once you taste it, there's no going back!
The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are friendly and efficient. Every visit feels worth it. Honestly, Nando's Peri-Peri is something no one can resist!

“We were honestly losing hope after eating out so much lately… but OZ completely surprised us in the best way.
Service was great from start to finish. We ordered the pork bone soup + chicken katsu combo, and I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the best chicken katsu I’ve ever had. We did the half-and-half, including the onion cream chicken, and wow. The chicken was insanely juicy—my boyfriend pointed out it’s probably because they use chicken thigh, and yep, it is thigh. You can really tell they actually care about the quality of the chicken.
They also had promotions going on, so our total bill came out to around $60, which is crazy for the amount and quality of food we got. Everything tasted fresh, comforting, and well done.
I genuinely can’t hype this place enough. It caught us completely off guard, in the best way. We’ll definitely be back—and next time, we’re bringing the kiddos too.“

“One of the best Korean fried chicken places in town. They fry your chicken right after you order so it's always fresh, crispy and juicy. However, ever since they added fried shrimp to their menu, I unfortunately cannot eat here anymore due to my shellfish allergy. They fry chicken and shrimp in the same fryer so there is a high risk of cross-contamination.“

“Went here for Valentine’s Day to get a quick lunch! Staff was relatively fast, and kind, and was happy that they gave us a complimentary tart for Valentine’s day, a lot of families and friends so I am glad they made it a bit special. Would go here again over say the food court one in metrotown!“

The fries were the worst I've had, they were under heat lamp I'm sure for at least a couple of hours they tasted like day old French fries. this was the Maple Ridge location which just opened, so maybe they were working out the kinks.“

“O.m.g. seriously hands down THEE best chicken ever!! It's not greasy (how they do this!?!?) And has the perfect about of seasoning that isn't too sweet (I hate too sweet) nor too salty (I hate salty!!!) Just the right amount, (I hate when it's drenched), I'm SUPERRR picky with my food usually korean chicken when I enjoy it would score a 7 or 8 max, but Chicken Chicken is 9.9/10 !!! The tenderness and perfection in their recipe, I can't stop talking about it to my friends“

“It’s a food court Nandos so atmosphere is not what I was there for! I have tried most of the Nandos. We are from South Africa where Nandos originated and this is by far the best franchise within Vancouver, had the whole chicken (lemon and herb) with sides. Chicken was grilled to perfection, sides were equally amazing, thanks guys keep up the good work!“
