“Been coming here for a long time. Staff have always been great warm and accommodating. Paula the manager works her butt off but always makes time to make me feel like I’m important.Gary is one of the best servers I’ve ever seen (I have 25 years in the industry) I should have left a review long “
“Our lunch here was very nice! I remember we had some sweet potatoes as appetizers, and 2 main courses. Our server was super kind, unfortunately we didn’t have dessert because the one we wanted was finished, but I believed it was very yummy! Thanks for having us! The view was stunning ?“
“Absolutely fantastic food! The broth was outstanding, and the portions were generous, especially considering the affordable price. The service was excellent, and we particularly enjoyed the chili oil, it was so yummy! We'll definitely be back soon.“
“First time dining here - our server was so nice and attentive. The food was interesting and lovely! I ordered the duck starter and it wasn't really my vibe, but I could definitely appreciate the quality of it. However, the scallops main course was amazing! Soft buttery scallops, creamy potato, creamed spinach - it was to die for! Then to finish off, the chocolate lava cake - which again, was amazing! I also tried The Black Fairy cocktail, which was so tart and crisp. It's been a while since I had found somewhere that serves absinthe, and it was lovely to see they offer drip too!Would definitely come back! Thank you :)“
“My son loves the Vancouver Canucks! So when they were heading to Game 5 of the first round of the play-offs in 2024 we headed to the west coast. Our first night he was researching a place to eat and found Burgoo, on Main St. Billy was our server and had some great suggestions for what to eat. He emphasized that their food was “Comfort Food” and all home made in their kitchen. My son had the Cuban Sandwich and FAB Salad. (Feta, Apples and Bacon) with red onions and some type of vinagrette. I had the Beef Bourguignon, which is a very flavourful beef stew over mashed potatoes. Both dishes were served on pottery dishes. The food was delicious and was indeed “Comfortable”!Billy was an excellent server with great advice for food and how to get around town for the game. Thanks Billy and good luck with your future endeavours.“
“Went for a wonderful meal last evening where we shared the Tasting Menu for 3. All dishes were made GF for the celiac in the group and all were excellent! Accompanied by excellent wines and awesome service! Great bistro. Will be back when I visit Vancouver again!“
“Hidden gem in the neighborhood. High quality fish and creative fusion menu. Surprisingly low traffic in store so the dining experience feels private. Well decorated and Disney tracks playing softly in the background, makes for a great date avenue.Happy hour menu is not cheaper but just smaller portions, would recommend for trying items on their menu.“
“Went for a business dinner. Service was excellent. The mocktails are pretty bad, tasted like a kid’s juice. I had the duck which was 10/10. Three of our party had the beef Bourguignon special which they said was over cooked and dry. The salt and vinegar Brussel sprouts needed salt and vinegar, they were bland.“
“I’ve had many amazing dinners here at Bistro Sakana, and it never disappoints! I’m from the San Francisco Bay Area, and whenever I am in Vancouver visiting family, this is a must-have. Yama San was very accommodating and prepared lots of great sushi and other dishes. Everything was not only delicious, but beautiful to look at.I’m already looking forward to my next visit here!“
“Cutest little French brunch spot there ever was. The food and service are always top notch. It’s a quaint little spot - so don’t plan to linger as they are a popular spot. Highly recommend the Ham& cheese croissant, the croque madame (perfect egg on top!) and the tomato soup! Enjoy!Wheelchair accessibility: Very small restaurant with tight tables. Not ideal for wheelchairs but they could accommodate in a pinch.“
“Good for lots of comfort food and a relaxed vibe.I really liked the mashed potatoes. The beef bourguignon had tasty little caramelized onions, carrots, and mushrooms. It's a big portion! I don't know if I would get it again because the beef was more grisly than I like (though some people like that) and it was too salty for me. That made me a little sad because I hoped this would be a go-to for a favourite dish but it's probably good for my budget that I don't love this meal too much since it isn't one of the cheaper items. I will try other dishes there since there are plenty of options. The Ceasar cocktail hit the spot for me with lots of horseradish and a good mix.The chocolate mousse is super delicious and nice. I wasn't sure if I had room after the size of the meal so I asked them for the to-go version and it wasn't a problem since they do delivery orders too.The staff was relaxed and nice. I liked the big bar area too and the many booth-ey areas for semi-cozy hang outs.“
“Hands down a class act establishment. The staff at Legacy are always going above and beyond. After extensive research to many of the other homes in Vancouver, our family are very happy to have made Legacy their home.I highly recommend to anyone looking for their parent's retirement paradise.“
“We stumbled across this Bistro and decided to try it for Brunch. Our entire party was delighted with our meals of Chicken & Waffles, BBQ Pulled Pork Bennies, Huevos Rancheros and Dutch Baby Pancake. We also loved our Americanos, Cappuccinos and London Fogs. Would definitely recommend!Kid-friendliness: The restaurant was welcoming for our little one and we saw a highchair brought to another table.“
