“Tour de Feast catered my small wedding and did an amazing job! They were so lovely to work with, thoroughly explaining the pickup process, how the food would need to be heated and providing everything necessary. The dinner was delicious, and everybody was happy. I highly recommend them!“

“A decent restaurant that worth Michelin recommended. All the dishes are to the satisfactory level. The little surprise is the appetizer steak tartare which the fried shiso matches well with the beef and chutoro. The baked oysters are done to perfection. Lamb saddle portion as main is quite small. The desserts are just so so.“

The service was some of the best I’ve ever experienced— no airs of pretension, everyone seemed genuinely kind and attentive and committed to making it a great night. Food was excellent - make sure to come in with an empty stomach so you can enjoy all four courses. Will be back!“

The food is superb, we keep coming back. The ambience is great, cozy, calm and intimate.
This is the first time however that service was a bit lacking, maybe they were short on staff or did not have enough time to train the waitress.

“The first thing that hit me was how clean the venue was. The staff was very friendly. We chose the prix fixe. The steak was one of the best I’ve tasted because there were no tough bits at all and the sauce was SO good. The side salad was well balanced. I am GF so I asked for veggies on the side and they gave me these grilled mushrooms that were very addictive. The cocktails were delicious and my husband’s wine was so good.“

“Wow, we had a great time at Gary’s tonight. Second time at the restaurant (lat time was during the rugby seven’s weekend - an exciting time in Vancouver) - first time sitting at the bar (tonight) The kitchen was great to watch, my favourite moment was when two of the cooks bumped shoulders and they took a moment to pause and acknowledge (so great to see such a fantastic team working together). The food was incredible and we really appreciated the table menu with an addition of the foie gras to the night. But this story begins in 2007 when we watched World Cup rugby on a patio in Toulouse France when we had our first Fois Gras. The fois gras was just as good as our first experience - thank you kitchen! Thank you to all the staff but especially to Tina who provided some incredible pairings for the meal!“

“Absolutely SUBLIME. We had the escargot, radishes, beets, halibut, pork chop and Guinness soft serve to finish and it was all incredible. Really beautiful presentation. Service was excellent and the drinks were to die for. I’m so used to non alcoholic cocktails being sub standard but was blown away here. Really can’t recommend enough.“

“Reservation recommended because it gets busy very quickly and the restaurant is small.

We got the calamari, the mussels and fries, and the 12oz ribeye. The calamari was light, crispy and not oily (we forgot to get a picture because we ate it so fast). The mussels are really good and to be honest, we'd come back just for this. The steak was tender and came with a peppercorn sauce and was seasoned very well.“

“My wife and I go to Five Sails every year for our wedding anniversary because we've never been disappointed or dissatisfied here. Even though it appears there has been an overhaul since the last time we came, they didn't fail to impress. The staff were personable, informative, and the food was phenomenal.“

Fish and chips came with equal amounts of both, which translates into lots. “I've been going to Bâtard for several years -- my favourite bakery in town and worth the 15 minute drive. Great bread & scones, pastry to die for, and wonderful atmosphere for a lunch. I'm more than a little suspicious by several coordinated reviews which trash the place, particularly as one of the reviews is by an owner of the new bakery which just moved in across the street ... hmmmm ...“

“Great place to learn or practice your French! I just started an intermediate course there and so far it's great. The teacher is very knowledgable, they have a library where you can pick some books to take home, they also organize different activities so people can get together and practice. The staff is super nice and helpful. I recommend you check out this place if you're looking for a francophone community in Vancouver ?“

“I ordered off the too good to go app so I don’t truly know what I got I think it was a chickpea curry and a coconut chicken curry with 2 containers of rice

I grew up in Surrey and have had a lot of Indian food over the years. Even though it was cold as the app is to prevent food waste; it was the best tasting Indian curries I’ve ever had. Even the rice was good cold and I’ve never enjoyed cold rice before. It ghee or some sort of light oil in it that didn’t flavour the rice, it was enhances the natural flavours of the long grain basmati. The chickpea curry and one container of rice didn’t even last long enough to get reheated it was that good.“

“I had a very good experience at this place . Food is great! Jenny and Tracey went out of their way not just for me but for every customer. It felt like they really knew the food as well, especially when I asked them what I should order and would it be too much food. Love this place .

Tucked away in the middle of busy Robson, this place is a little oasis. Their cappuccino is always spot on, and they have some of the flakiest pastries in town. Love that they do curbside pickup too. Staff are quiet but polite, and I always find a seat. Perfect for a quick recharge or light catch-up with friends.“
