“Haven't been to Kypriakis for many decades. The service was great. Food was average. Had the roast lamb. It certainly fell off the bone but was lacking some flavor and the presentation of food was not stellar. The salad was squeezed in a small dish and squeezed on plate. I think the dinner plate was too small.. All in all is was very editable and my other guests e enjoyed there meal too.“

“Is That French? absolutely lived up to the hype. My friend and I started with New Brunswick oysters — a sweeter, delicate variety, beautifully presented and the perfect way to begin the evening. We followed with scallops that were tender, flavorful, and perfectly balanced, then indulged in the foie gras, which was rich, silky, and paired beautifully with the accompaniments. The wagyu tartare was a standout — expertly seasoned, melt-in-your-mouth, and plated with such care. We ended on the Basque cheesecake, which was creamy, light, and the perfect not-too-sweet finish“

“First time trying this place — loved the patio! The area wasn’t too busy, super cozy even though it was a bit windy. The staff were really friendly! My friend and I sat at the bar, and despite the basketball theme, the staff was kind enough to switch a TV to the Canucks game for us, which was a thoughtful touch. We took full advantage of the all-day happy hour—amazing deals and delicious drinks. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. “Shayla, our server, was absolutely amazing! She explained the menu thoroughly and made excellent recommendations that we were glad to try. The entire experience was exceptional, and the food was perfect from start to finish.We had the red wine braised short rib of beef from Double R Ranch — it melted in my mouth and the flavor was out of this world. We started with the scallops and smoked bison tartare, both of which were outstanding.For other mains, we enjoyed the wood grilled lamb, the Hank tenderloin steak, the Wagyu beef picanha from Brant Lake Farm in Alberta, Blue Dot Beef in Prince Edward Island striploin (10 oz). They were all amazing. The Blue Dot had incredible flavor — juicy, tender, and hands down the best steak I’ve ever had. Every steak was beautifully cooked and packed with flavor.We finished the evening with trying ALL THE DESSERTS! The baked Alaska was beautiful and delicious! The ice cream trio was so creamy and rich. The creme brûlée was smooth and dreamy. The chocolate cake was moist and perfectly matched with the passionfruit sauce. The fam favorite was definitely the cheesecake… we were all wanting it! Perfect flavor not too sweet and very smooth. Blackberries were a perfect match. We also had the donuts.. don’t forget about those. Im still dreaming of them. Highly recommend — a truly unforgettable meal!“

Atmosphere is great. Comfortable and not smoky or u feel I have to change cloths right afterward
They do have a locker for guest to use to store your stuff which is great.
High end decoration with few table serving 4-6 guests, a semi private partitioned table for somen privacy if needed
We sit at the U shaped bar table where each guest have their own bbq set. Pretty good and clean.
Staff a very nice and helpful and explain each steps needed and even help u cook if needed

We are here on a week day dinner and not busy. Heard they are always full in weekend so plan ahead

One thing is they told us that after 8pm each night it’s happy hour where the food have special pricing discount like 50% off or buy 2 get 1 free, even for drinks.

Food are top quality beef and no don’t they are best meet from Japan

We ordered the biggest plate for sharing and it’s pretty enough for us. For some heavy eater, I guess can order a plate for 2 people and order other side dishes

“The first thing that hit me was how clean the venue was. The staff was very friendly. We chose the prix fixe. The steak was one of the best I’ve tasted because there were no tough bits at all and the sauce was SO good. The side salad was well balanced. I am GF so I asked for veggies on the side and they gave me these grilled mushrooms that were very addictive. The cocktails were delicious and my husband’s wine was so good.“

“Vincenzo was wonderful! His knowledge of food and wine was superb. He was the consummate host and made us feel right at home. He was very attentive without being overbearing and was very personable. Although we were there for the Dine Out experience, their regular menu was equally as enticing. The appetizers and entrees hit the spot and went well with the wine that we ordered. The dinner was amazing and the food was prepared perfectly.
I love, let me repeat that ..I LOVE. Carbonara and the carbonara here is perfect.
You think that’s not to big, but the bowl is deep and when your done trust me, your done.
The waitress whose name I did get but now it evades me was charming.
If i remember correctly she was from Brazil,

“My husband and I dine at Novo Pizzeria and Wine Bar several times a year. We have our favourites: salads; arugula & pear, & beet salad paired with the house foccacia. They never disappoint. When salmon or tuna are on the specials menu they are delightfully delicious. Gnocchi is a favourite main when fish is not on the menu. The budino dissert is out of this world! The staff are welcoming and attentive as needed. I recommend Novo highly.“

“My boyfriend an I were looking for a place to dine while walking around Gastown when we came across Al Porto. We entered and where greeted by the waiter SIXTO. He made us feel very welcomed and took care of us. We had the lasagna which was excellent and the calamari which we found to be very chewy and tough. Not properly prepared. We ordered Molson Canadian beer and where told that we don’t carry it. SIXTO recommended we try The Kokanee beer which was comparable. We where offered the dessert menu but declined and had another Kokanee. Overall experience was good with exceptional service from our waiter. Will defiantly return to this restaurant next time we are visiting Vancouver.“
