“On our journey driving from Alaska to Arizona, my husband and I made it a priority to stop at The Original Lunch Doctor in Pitt Meadows, BC for lunch. Why? Because my grandmother, Elsie Hatlen, is the founder of this local legacy and amazing sandwich shop! I haven't been here in at least 30 years (I was somewhere between 7 and 10 years old) when Grandma let me help in the back kitchen. The giant mixer was my favorite - and apparently it's still there! It was really neat to be back in Grandma's old shop. We missed the current owner today but visited with all the ladies there, left an original "The Original Lunch Doctor" jar opener for them (the info is even still the same), enjoyed a *fabulous* lunch, and watched them totally sell out - at one point there was a line out the door! It warms my heart how much folks love this place still. Grandma Elsie started something amazing that still lives on... as does she! Still zesty and kind as always, but in Texas instead of Canada. “I’ve been several different Subways in BC areas but this branch had the kindest staff. The staff Roop was very helpful and welcoming, and the bowl she made was absolutely delicious! Which is interesting, it must have been same ingredient and recipe. The venue was clean, I definitely recommend you if you’re looking for decent healthy meal made by nice people.“

“Located inside the Henlong Supermarket.

They have 8 different Bahn Mi sandwiches to choose from and they also sell Vietnamese deli items and desserts.

I tried the Special Sub and it had different cuts of
deli ham, pickled carrots/radish, cilantro, cucumber, jalapeños. Bread was good as it came
out warm and crispy. Can’t go wrong when it was $5.80 after tax.
