About De Dutch

De Dutch is a charming restaurant known for a variety of dishes, especially their Dutch pancakes, hash browns, and avocado toast. Located near the harbor, it offers beautiful views of the North Shore Mountains and Vancouver Harbour, making it a popular spot for dining in downtown Vancouver. Guests at De Dutch Pannekoek House at Canada Place enjoy the iconic Vancouver scenery alongside their famous, plate-sized Dutch pancakes. The atmosphere is friendly and lively, and the restaurant is clean and well-maintained. The staff, including friendly members like Rita and Sam, are welcoming and knowledgeable, often handling special diet needs professionally. Many visitors appreciate the exceptional food, generous portions, and positive energy of the staff. The restaurant's large windows provide great views of North Vancouver and the harbor, creating a relaxing setting. While the food is generally fabulous with prompt service, some guests noted it can take 30-40 minutes from order to delivery. Occasionally, some glasses may have lipstick on them, but most customers bring their own water bottles to avoid this issue. Despite minor wait times and occasional inconsistencies, De Dutch remains a highly recommended spot for its tasty pannekoeks, good coffee, and great dining experience, especially if seated by a window. Its convenient location near the walking path by the convention center makes it an ideal place to stop, enjoy a meal, and then explore nearby attractions like Stanley Park or Gastown.

Best breakfast and amazing atmosphere! We loved watching the seaplanes land as we ate breakfast.

Love, love, love this place! It's always on our itinerary every time we visit!
Staff remember our faces and are welcoming!
They are known for their pannekoek's and Dutch traditions which shows in the food they serve!!

Food was okay, but bland, service could be much better.
