We stopped by Hi Nippon last Saturday afternoon while we were out sightseeing downtown, and it turned out to be a lovely lunch stop. The chirashi bowl was fresh and generous, way better than we expected for a walk-in on a weekend. Service was warm and unhurried, the older gentleman who seated us even recommended the miso soup without us asking. We'll definitely make a point of coming back next time we're in Vancouver.
It was a decent restaurant. Came here with a party of 9 which is quite big. The service is not very good, they also spilled some sauce on one of us. The food is average nothing super special about this restaurant, but if you are looking for some reliable Japanese then this is it. Overall, I admire their ability to fit us as 9 with no wait, their reliable food, the ok service, and the location.
The food is amazing and the staff are really nice. I went with friends amd shared the bento box it was so good, not a single complaint. One of the staff also gave a free miso as the box only came with one and i was sharing.

The chicken teriyaki lunch menu set comes highly recommended. Though service can be inconsistent, many find the food heavenly and the atmosphere wonderful, especially with Disney instrumentals playing in the background. With kind staff and a serene environment, this restaurant is highly recommended.
