“I was going to leave 5 stars because campus doesn’t have the best shawarma spots and this is *relatively* good so far, but I had a few suggestions I hope this place can implement to be improve:

The first time I ordered shawarma on fries, it was extremely good. Fresh and hot, plus tasted great. The second time, the chicken was unfortunately stale and not even warm, and the fries seemed like they’d been thrown in the fryer multiple times.

Both times, my food container was covered in grease and/or sauce that made my hands dirty on the go. Not the biggest deal, but I hope staff can be mindful about this as it changes the experience.

I hope they continue serving fresh and hot food rather than leftovers or stale food.“

“This food, so fresh and delicious! I have never had Lebanese food before and was absolutely delighted at what I ate. My mouth and tummy are so happy! I have been visiting Vancouver for 6 nights now, and this is the freshest, most flavorful and beautiful food I have had. The service was absolutely lovely as well. Must eat here!“

“I've been to many Pakistani restaurants but Karakoram Restaurant stands out for its authentic flavors and generous portions. The karahi was spicy and savory, and the basmati rice was fluffy and fragrant. The staff were friendly and attentive and the prices were very reasonable. I'll be back for more of their delicious dishes!“

“Afghan Horseman never disappoints… my husband and I have been coming here for over 30 years and now it has become a favourite of our kids also. The food…delicious, the atmosphere… unique & cozy, the service… we are always treated like family and we were honoured to be included in their 50th Anniversary celebration this year. Tonight we enjoyed another fabulous dinner experience and we got to share it with our friend from Germany who loved it. “As usual, I ordered the shawarma platter and the quality is on par with most other establishments in the area. (Although the chicken used to be better when they prepared it on the spit. Now it's done in a convection oven)
I particularly like the whipped garlic sauce they offer. Which I don't see this in many other middle eastern restaurants. The hummus is also light and fluffy.
The Saj wrap was a nice change from traditional pita bread wrap.
I would and will eat here again when I am in the neighborhood“

“The food was excellent, and I'm not sure why the ratings are low. It might be because it's not as suitable for dining in, but it's great for takeout. The promotions and variety of options are great. The portions are large, balanced, and flavorful. There are also plenty of vegetarian options available. I strongly recommend this place, especially if you're a fan of kebabs and donairs like we are!“

“A great late-night option for wraps and platters, my personal preference.

Chicken/Lamb/Beef platters are $18.49 each, and my portion was happily hefty when I picked it up in person versus ordering via DoorDash/Uber Eats. It comes with Greek salad, 2x domaldes, 2 potatoes, rice, and a heap of meat that gets covered in 2 sauces of your choice.

I also ordered a side tabbouleh that I wish was more dominant with parsley, but it’s still decent, and quite filling with the extra quinoa.

The location was super clean, and the customer service was sincerely warm and friendly. Not sure what’s with all the negative reviews, but in my opinion, if you enter with a smile, you’ll get served with smiles in return.

“This Donair Dude location has become one of my go-to spots for a quick, satisfying meal. One thing that really stands out is how clean the store is. Every time I visit, the counters, tables, and even the sauce station are spotless. I’ve also never seen a single fly or fruit gnat here — which is honestly rare for a place that deals with fresh ingredients and open toppings. Major bonus points for hygiene!

The portions are generous, especially the chicken. I always order the chicken wrap or plate, and they never skimp on the meat. It’s always juicy, well-seasoned, and perfectly cooked. You definitely get good value for the price.
