There are so many ‘Japanese restaurants in Vancouver but Takenaka is one of the MOST AUTHENTIC JAPANESE RESTAURANTs in Vancouver! Real TASTE OF JAPAN! For TEISHOKU, I like to have one FISH dish (yakizakana?) instead of chicken karate!!! THANK YOU Michiko Sakata
A cozy Japanese cafe with great food and atmosphere. It's hip and modern. The mood is relaxed and it's juxtaposed with the industrial exterior. I enjoyed my lunch box very much! Did I mention there are miso soup refills?
This was a random find in search for breakfast. What a surprise. Miki was so nice and was able to accommodate us even though we didn’t a reservation. Definitely recommended to make a reservation so you can be seated. There’s an exclusive onigiri obanzai set that is limited and we got the last two sets an hour after opening. The set is really worth it, so delicious and amazing value. The onigiri and miso soup have free refills. Definitely a great place to revisit!
