Came here for lunch. I had a great suggestion from a friend.The lunch sets are the key. Absolutely delicious and fresh. I think I’m hooked. This place does get busy so plan accordingly.I left smiling with a full belly.
Authentic Japanese lunch!!!Takenaka is my new favourite place for lunch! The miso soup has "free refills" and it is so flavourful!! It has fresh daikon and pea shoots. I ordered the set lunch menu for $22 (see photo) and it was just the right amount (I did not finish it all but I did have 2 bowls of miso- did I mention how irresistible it was?). I highly recommend the lunch set. It changes everyday, but our meal came with braised pork and egg, matcha soba, tamagoyaki, salad, and soup. It comes with one onigiri at standard price. The braised pork was okay but the matcha soba was my favorite.By themselves, the onigiri are a good size, though one isn’t fully filling.
