“I've been to a lot of tasting rooms, and was very impressed how this one was set up. When ordering a flight, you're given printed tasting notes for each of the beers, arranged in a suggested tasting order. Great selection to choose from (including products suitable for people with gluten issues, like my wife!)“

“Tried a pilot mango wheat here, and it was delicious and refreshing, and very smooth with a strong mango flavor. Definitely needs to become part of the permanent summer lineup. I have had other mango wheat beers from different breweries and this was by far the best one. Clearly the brewer knew what they were doing with this one. The rest of the beer is very good too!“

“My partner and I came here on NYE, and had a great experience. No cover charge, a truly expansive and delicious local beer/cider menu (with unique flavours), and the staff was very friendly. The owner offered everyone NYE swag (kazoo, hats and so on) as well as free snacks (pork sliders, fruits etc) after the countdown. We had a lovely time and will certainly be back on another visit to Victoria!“

“We went for the Victoria Dine Around 3 course meal. We all (4 of us) thought the quality, flavour and value was really good. Only complaint (and it is an important one) was that none of the food was HOT. We had 3 steak dinners and one pasta from the dine around. We want to go back, but are hoping that this long term establishment starts the practice of serving meals on heated plates. It makes all the difference! Thank you for offering such delicious meals for this event. The $35 price tag offered great value for what we ate.“

“Chicken and ribs were great but steaks were salty, poorly cooked and dry (raw then overcooked dry). Staff was excellent and we've had one great steak there (last year) but now the bad steaks outnumber the good and they now marinate in what seems a salty smoke marinade. Ribs were great though... and service was excellent.“

“We decided to try this place to get away from regular everyday sushi. It is amazing, all the dishes we ordered were perfectly made and tasted amazingly fresh. The place is a bit more expensive but it is worth it.

Also try out the Corso Sweet Potato Amber beer. It's really good.“

“Had a great experience last night when we went here for dinner and drinks and music bingo last night with my partner’s work friends. Firstly, a massive shout out to our extremely hard-working and diligent server with the cool feathery earrings. Really top notch service, particularly on such a busy night. Thank you for letting me sample the bitter! I will definitely come back. Secondly, just need to tell your chef that the vegetarian lasagna was absolutely incredible and the best I’ve ever had. Really perfectly seasoned and huge flavour profile. Loved this experience.“

“Saw a metal show here and it was epic. The new layout is actually pretty good as a live music venue. The small mosh pit was really active, surprising for a Victoria crowd! Bar staff were friendly, bouncers were fine, no sign of the aggression so many other reviews mentioned. I hope more rock/metal acts get booked here.“

“Unfortunately while we were visiting, a man took it upon himself to kiss my girlfriend’s neck and ask if she “wanted something”. 🤢 Myself, her, and my good friend stepped outside to escape the situation, and as soon as I got ahold of Caleb (the bouncer working that night), he was on top of it immediately. He asked for a description of the man, and then took action, finding him and removing him from the bar so our night could continue. When the man walked out and saw us huddled under an umbrella, he tried to invade our space and stand with us. My girlfriend would have swung on him if the same bouncer wasn’t so quick to stand in between us and him. He politely asked for us to return inside, and we did. We did not see the man again after that. Thank you Caleb for believing and protecting us, A+ service! Also thank you to the bartender for expressing sympathy over the situation (and giving us water when we had drank one too many in a row), your presence was comforting and helpful!“

“Our meal was delicious, the menu was extensive and a reasonable value for steaks especially, our waitress was lovely, very attentive and knowledgeable. We had a lovely view of the harbour from our table, the atmosphere was a little quiet, but other than it was an enjoyable experience and we would recommend!“
