“Such a fresh and generous sushi combo! The sashimi was buttery and the rolls were packed with flavor. Loved the crispy tempura and the salad balanced everything out. Definitely ordering again!
Food just hits different outside.❤️

“I love this restaurant since they were in North Vancouver. Now in West Vancouver is more convenient for us, we usually go together as a family. Let me recommend the dishes that we have tried: Beef teriyaki bowl ( by far the best that we have tasted in Vancouver), Spicy Don, Aburi sushi, and most of the maki’s sushi. The service is so friendly, the atmosphere is great and the new restaurant building is so fancy. Regarding pricing is fair enough for the quality of the food.“

“The place is located in the food court it’s quite decent for its Japanese food. The service is very fast and the workers are always ready to help. I had a mistake in my order but as soon as I told them, they fixed it incredibly quickly. The food is quite good for its quick service. I’d go there anytime for a good meal!“

“I come to this restaurant quite often because it’s one of my absolute favorites in West Vancouver. I usually go for the K-chicken, tteokbokki, seafood pancake—honestly, there are just so many dishes I love here!
Yesterday, I happened to be passing by and noticed a new promotion sign outside, so I decided to try their new lunch box as takeout and brought it to the beach. Oh wow—it was amazing! Generous portions, delicious flavors, and a really reasonable price.
I actually stopped by again today to try the cold noodles, (the server yesterday strongly recommended this) and they were super refreshing. The balance with the kimchi was perfect—I love kimchi, so I really enjoyed it.
The service here is always wonderful, and I appreciate the great music too. Sometimes I feel a bit sad that it doesn’t look super busy, but I truly hope this place continues serving the West Van community—people like me who really appreciate it.
Thanks to all the staff for the great food and warm service!“

“Their food was truly remarkable!!! Aside from the amazing food and how fast their service was, the Japanese atmosphere was truly warm and welcoming. The atmosphere was so richly designed with Japanese artifacts that I felt like I was dining in a restaurant located directly in Japan.“

Our favorite dishes were, the Mad Salmon Roll, Salmon Avo Don bowl and the Spicy Yam Roll. They were AMAZING!!! So glad we stopped here, absolutely incredible food!!“

“We are visiting from Winnipeg and Tom sushi was recommended to us from friends that travelled to Vancouver. Safe to say this is one of the best sushi restaurant I've been to. It gets busy so we were told 1hr wait, but got a text after 30mins. Service great, food is great. Going to miss Tom sushi and the loin cheese Katsu!“

“Fun Japanese resto thats a bit tucked away but well worth finding! Interior has a great vintage vibe and we got a table with stunning views of English Bay. Quality of sushi and other food is higher quality than most justifying the price point.
100% would come back, staff is friendly, location view is amazing and most importantly the food was super yummy!“

“This is the best value sushi I’ve tried in Vancouver. The fish is fresh with generous portions, and the service is quick and attentive. My favourite is how big the sashimi portions are! The indoor seating is quite small so it’s best to eat-in during lunch or order takeout.“

“The restaurant service was very quick and friendly. The food here was also excellent. The sushi rolls I ordered were large and not padded with too much rice as I've seen other places too and tasted wonderful.
They had a variety of seating options too and the group I was with was seated in a nice, more quiet corner.“

“We went to ASA sushi last year at the end of the day during the Canada Day long weekend. It was a delightful surprise! We’re visiting the city, and it was definitely the freshest and most delicious sashimi I’ve ever had. Everything was well-prepared and delicious. I always say that I want to go back someday when I’m in Vancouver again.“

“We had an amazing experience at Sushi Jin! It was my boyfriend’s birthday today, and we made a reservation in advance for their omakase. Both the chef and his wife were incredibly warm and friendly, which made the evening even more special. The ingredients were super fresh, and everything tasted delicious. We especially loved their wasabi and homemade ginger — such a nice touch! It was also a pleasure to watch the chef carefully prepare each dish — truly a beautiful and enjoyable experience. Since they only serve six guests at a time, it’s really quiet and private, which made it feel even more special. Highly recommend!“

“Where do I even begin. This experience was just that…an experience. Every single detail of our meal was meticulously thought out and considered. Chef Lee loves his craft and his passion for quality shows. From the moment you walk through the door it’s clear the night is one to remember.
Lee’s also assisted by his wonderful wife only making the experience that much better. It felt more like we’ve been invited to dinner at their home than at a restaurant.
Every ingredient, plate, cup and detail imaginable was carefully selected. You’re truly paying to watch someone prepare food they love and it last felt in each bite.
I haven’t left this wow’s after a meal in a long time and the recognition chef Lee and his team have gotten is well deserved.
We’ll definitely be returning again as the season changes to experience this again…CANT WAIT!!!“

“After hearing about this place, I’ve wanted to visit, and I finally had the chance to do so. The owner and staff greeted me warmly, which made me feel comfortable.
The Miso Soup wasn’t too salty, which I liked, and the dressing on the fried chicken and vegetables complemented the dish really well, making it delicious.
The Salmon Aburi melted in my mouth as soon as I took a bite. It was so tender and flavorful.
Next time, I’d like to try the CUPBOP.
A note: The sign is small, so you might miss it if you’re not paying attention. It’s a good idea to keep your eyes open and look carefully when you’re nearby.“

“My family just completed an in home sushi class (coupled with catering) to celebrate a birthday. The sushi making experience was top notch. Besides great food and quality ingredients, the instructor was amazing. Informative, prepared, and most important, fun! They easily accommodated unique participant needs and tailored the experience to exactly what we wanted. We learned how to successfully make (and eat) several types of sushi in a hands on experience with no preparation or clean up required.. Highly recommend the classes (and the sushi too)“

“Amazing… I cannot find this fantastic Inari sushi even in Korea. I asked the staff to recommend the best menu, and he kindly assist me. There are salmon, eel, crab, tuna and many kinds of sushi. They are all the same price and it is the charming point.“

“this is a GREAT sushi spot! i’ve been in vancouver for 3 years, and this will now be my new go to sushi place. was greeted by the sweetest people and had an amazing meal. All flavours were so yummy, even the tuna roll and miso soup went above and beyond! my yakisoba was full of veggies and chicken, and the chicken pieces were full of flavour + had no chewy bits!!!
to top it all off, it was affordable and fast. 10/10“

“Wow! We had a great meal here at Joon's Kitchen. We ordered a tonne of food for the table. The standouts for me are definately the Korean Tacos and the Sweet spicy/sweet soy fried chicken. These were just delicious. We also ordered Bibimbap (beef, chicken and veggie). These too were just amazing! California Roll and Unagi were also on point. Korean ribs would have better BBQ'd and were too fatty. But, that's always a risk when you order them. Overall, a great little Korean gem of a restaurant! Thanks for the wonderful food and friendly service.“

“There’s one man in a narrow kitchen and one mildly harried woman at the register and somehow all was great. I really liked the scallop rolls. Not a lot of seating but we luckily got a table in the corner. A reliable choice for a casual meal. I was sated.“

“This place is absolutely amazing! I can't believe it's not already rated 5 stars!
I ordered the spicy salmon sashimi, and it was incredibly fresh! The spicy sauce was just perfect; typically, I don't like it when restaurants serve it on the side, but this one was an exception.
The crispy crunchy roll was also perfect. My friends ordered the Tuna Sashimi and the North Vancouver roll, and everyone agreed on the amazing quality!
The food was served in a blink! Both the waiter and the chef were so friendly.
I would definitely come back again to this amazing local spot.
Enjoy your meal there! :)“

“On the high side of price range for the portion. Service is great though.
The food tastes good but not fabulous or omg level. The rolls are creative.
However I would go for the other sushi place on Hastings with long established for likely cheaper as portions would be bigger.“

“Pleasantly surprised at this accidental find when the place we were planning to go to was closed! Cozy space with tasty fresh food that was beautifully presented with good value and generous portions (had lots of leftovers). Highlights were the chicken karaage, which was super tender/moist (like Korean style) and the melt in your mouth fresh sockeye salmon sashimi. The pumpkin croquettes were perfectly crisp, but the pumpkin spice flavour was unexpected and while not unpleasant, a bit too dessert-like for my preference. Service was also outstanding... another pleasant surprise as it seems hit & miss elsewhere these days. Will definitely be back!“

“Stopped by this place in Vancouver and seems like all the bad comments are just too old now. The restaurant might have gone through changes and they're positive. The food was fresh, clean, and delicious! You can tell it was very authentic too! The owner was very nice and the vibes felt like home. Thanks for the great food 😊“

“Okay… yes the price is high, but it’s worth every damn penny. I’m pretty cheap when it comes to going out, and this is probably the ONLY Japanese restaurant in Vancouver that I would spend 200+ on a dinner. Food quality is amazing, I’m somewhat of a fisherman and loves to foraging seafood, and the quality of seafood there is on par or even better than some seafood I caught myself. Oh and the service, I feel weird that I’m willingly paying 20% tip on a dinner. Guy’s giving me a whole biology lesson on the fish I’m eating, I’d just consider the tip as tutoring fee. 100% recommend, just send it, it’s worth it I promise.“

“Wonderful sushi. They had Uni Nigiri at a very reasonable price. Saba Nigiri had Yuzu leaves on the top (not just green onion pieces) - that was a nice touch. Also real crab meat California Roll was very tasty. In addition, each piece of Nigiri sushi had a bit of wasabi underneath. That was excellent. I love this sushi spot. I will be returning.“

“After visits to the Fairmont building I have historically been too lazy to walk all the way to Dragon so eat at the first sushi place but boy was I glad I made the trip last week. Portions were bigger, place was packed, line for take-out, Bento was so tasty and reasonably priced. Service was effortless. Can’t wait to try some more things.“

“We have lived in this area for 25yrs and never tried out Dami....don't know why. Maybe because nobody we know recommends it here. Glad we came out on a Saturday for lunch on a rainy day because my eldest daughter was craving for Korean seafood pancake.
The seafood pancake is thick and looks like pizza hut pizza! If you like crunchy and fluffy dough then this is good. The best value for your money is the chicken katsu and chicken don rice bowls. Very tasty and lots of chicken!
The sushi rolls are priced well too. Mow we have an extra place to go for food near by. Convenience is nice when going out with 6 ppl. Very spacious inside and they play Japanese music.
Our meal for 6 of us only came to $79 + tip!? And we had take out....I spend that much sometimes having lunch meetings fir 2 ppl. We will be back!“

“This is a real find. I had the combo where you choose any 3 items out of a huge selection
I had prawn tempura, asparagus and avo roll and a green salad. Everything was really fresh, the sushi rice still warm , the tempura so crispy and juicy. Excellent salad.
Love this place!“

“It can be so hard to find a place to dine while traveling that feels safe for the Celiac Kid AND the vegan mother. Iki worked for us! We enjoyed the veggie gyoza as our appetizer. Avocado rolls were loved by both. I had veggie tempura for the first time in years. The broccoli pieces were particularly good while the white sweet potato was a bit bland. The other veggies were good.“

“We almost didn't go in, because there were all these negative reviews about sushi. That sushi place is not there now.
Loong's serves above average Chinese food. I'm no expert, but I enjoyed it. We had the noodles with XO sauce (they subbed chicken for pork), and the Sweet & Sour Pork.
They deserve 5 stars, to balance off the irrelevant reviews for the former sushi place, that used to be at this address (get your act together, Google).“
