“Update 6.25.2025 — ordered sun rise roll and ikura this time around. (Spicy scallops roll) recommended!
Previous visit: Ordered california combo + ikura to satisfy my craving. All very fresh and flavoury. A bit pricey else great experience. Recommended!“

“I come to this restaurant quite often because it’s one of my absolute favorites in West Vancouver. I usually go for the K-chicken, tteokbokki, seafood pancake—honestly, there are just so many dishes I love here!
Yesterday, I happened to be passing by and noticed a new promotion sign outside, so I decided to try their new lunch box as takeout and brought it to the beach. Oh wow—it was amazing! Generous portions, delicious flavors, and a really reasonable price.
I actually stopped by again today to try the cold noodles, (the server yesterday strongly recommended this) and they were super refreshing. The balance with the kimchi was perfect—I love kimchi, so I really enjoyed it.
The service here is always wonderful, and I appreciate the great music too. Sometimes I feel a bit sad that it doesn’t look super busy, but I truly hope this place continues serving the West Van community—people like me who really appreciate it.
Thanks to all the staff for the great food and warm service!“

“I love this restaurant since they were in North Vancouver. Now in West Vancouver is more convenient for us, we usually go together as a family. Let me recommend the dishes that we have tried: Beef teriyaki bowl ( by far the best that we have tasted in Vancouver), Spicy Don, Aburi sushi, and most of the maki’s sushi. The service is so friendly, the atmosphere is great and the new restaurant building is so fancy. Regarding pricing is fair enough for the quality of the food.“

“Nice restaurant with very friendly staff.
As a vegetarian, the options are limited to vegetarian sushi and some appetizers. The noodles with vegetables is ok too.
The udan vegetarian soup has fish powder in it and the teriyaki souce has beef stock.
Despite limited vegetarian options, we had a good time in this restaurant 😋
Vegetarian options: Very limited but tasty.“

“Really loved the sushi here! I’ve been to many other sushi places but this felt the most fresh. I actually appreciated their smaller menu, it made it feel more specialized. If you are polite and kind customers then that is the service level you shall receive. Their chopped scallop role was so good that I went back for a second serving after we got our takeout!“

“If you're curious about real Cantonese cooking, skip the General Tso’s chicken and chow mein and try Loong’s.
My mother-in-law is one of the best cooks I’ve ever known. Every Sunday, she would spend six to eight hours preparing a feast of our favorite Cantonese dishes—no recipes, just decades of experience and a deep love for feeding others.
Loong’s is the closest I’ve ever come to that kind of cooking in a restaurant. The food is expertly prepared, deeply authentic, and absolutely delicious. Every dish was perfectly seasoned, spiced, and cooked with obvious skill. Don’t be intimidated by the menu. We had pork belly soup (best broth, chewy pork), beef brisket noodles, stir fried veggies, sweet and sour pork and milk custard for dessert (try it hot). All were wonderful!
Don’t come here expecting trendy décor, cocktails, or flashy service. This is about the food—nothing more, nothing less. It’s a father-and-son team running the place, and while the service is simple and efficient, come for the food. Or you could try takeout.
The restaurant itself might not wow you at first glance. But give it a chance, and you’ll feel like you are in a favourite neighbourhood spot in Guangdong—only it happens to be in West Vancouver.“
