A Guide to the Best Pizzerias in San Francisco

+ Because it is famous and popular, the line is very long during weekend lunch when there are many visitors.

Always a solid spot for good food, very much a place to take a date! Outside seating can be a tiny bit rougher at night when it's windy/cold, but otherwise, just an all-around solid spot!

Vegetarian options: Good selection of at least 2 pizzas that are vegetarian. And it's not your typical veggie special, they pair good flavors.

The food is amazing! We shared a Sausage Pizza that was out-of-this-world delicious, as well as a seasonal Cherry Pie (Cherry Tomatoes) pizza. The waiter suggested a seasonal, fresh corn appetizer that he said sold out nightly. We thought it was divine. My son had a simple pasta dish of spaghetti pomodoro, which, while good, didn't measure up to the pizzas and was quite a small portion for $25. The service was friendly, helpful and all-together perfect. We can't wait to dine here again.

Excellent espresso coffee, friendly service and a lovely brunch menu. I look forward to returning sometime for dinner. The chef’s were prepping a range of fresh looking ingredients and the smells emanating from the kitchen were beautiful!

Absolute heaven, this SF natives only pizza shop. The crust is moist and chewy but thin and a nice flavor of it's own. the sauce is spot on and just the right amount on the pizza for full herb flavor without sliding the cheese off. They actually stretch their mozzarella and they only use mozzarella as it should be. they also have garlic cream on a number of items
my favorite is the Inside Out pizza with broccoli rabe garlic cream grana Fresno chilies I think, absolutely amazing!
All pizzas are one size 8 slices between $15-25 and I find 2-3 slices is enough to fill me but my partner will eat 4-8 depending on appetite.
There are a few appetizers and they're delicious, as well as a chicken Parm sandwich for those who don't want pizza but want that cheese and sauce goodness. The crust is thin but substantial enough to manga without feeling like you're eating a loaf of bread with sauce and cheese.
