Taste of Chicago 2026 Food Festival Guide

The city’s biggest food festival is back. For its 46th season, Taste of Chicago returns to Grant Park. The basics haven’t changed: admission is free, and you pay only for the food and drinks you want.

This year, the festival runs from Wednesday, July 8, through Sunday, July 12, 2026. Here is everything you need to know to plan your visit.

About 40 vendors will set up booths in the park. Most restaurants offer smaller, "taste-size" portions, which makes it easy to try several different dishes.

We’ve grouped the vendors into two lists to help you decide where to start.

Chicago Classics

These spots are the heart of the festival. Expect the longest lines here during dinner hours:

Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria - Chicago-style deep-dish pizza with a buttery crust.

Billy Goat Tavern - Famous for their classic "Cheezborger."

Connie’s Pizza - A local favorite for traditional deep-dish.

Harold’s Chicken 55 - Known for their fried chicken and signature mild sauce.

Robinson’s No. 1 Ribs - Slow-smoked ribs from a festival veteran.

Rainbow Cone - The classic five-flavor ice cream cone, a city staple since 1926.

The Eli’s Cheesecake Company - The go-to spot for Chicago-style cheesecake.

If you want to avoid the crowds, visit the popular booths like Lou Malnati's or Billy Goat in the early afternoon instead of at dinner time.

Concerts happen every evening. The main acts perform on the Main Stage, while local bands play on the Goose Island Stage. All shows are free.

The festival is downtown, so expect it to be busy.

Public Transit (CTA): The easiest way to get there.

Parking: The closest option is the Millennium Garages. Expect heavy traffic during peak hours.

Biking: Bike parking is available along the edges of Grant and Millennium Parks.
