“Just finished my birthday dinner at Mountain Oaks Cafe in Oakhurst and WOW… highly recommend! The four girls, my husband, and I all ordered something different, and every single plate was absolutely packed with flavor. Hands down the best chicken fried steak I’ve ever had from a restaurant. The pull-apart ribs were perfectly tender and full of flavor, and the tri-tip was smoked to perfection. the youngest was completely lost in her pizza — which honestly looked amazing — and every bite around the table got rave reviews. The portions were huge too… we’re all heading home with lunch for tomorrow! If you’re anywhere near Oakhurst, do yourself a favor and check out Mountain Oaks Cafe. Great food, great portions, and a perfect birthday dinner. We’ll definitely be back!“

“I highly recommend Idle Hour winery and kitchen in Oakhurst. I found out about the winery when looking for a place to eat in the area on the Internet and I’m so glad I did. It was one of my more memorable meals. I had one of their wines, which was outstanding with a salmon dinner accompanied by a very large salad. I usually don’t have dessert, but, being gluten-free, I decided to try their flourless chocolate cake. I’ve never had one I’ve particularly liked, but I doubt that I will be able to resist that dessert the next time I go for dinner, although I will have to try their Sunday brunch next.“

“on a 10000 mile cross country trip and 1st time in Yosemite, staying at the Sierra Sky Ranch. they recommended SGB for lunch, and it did not disappoint. our hardest task was deciding what to choose as there were so many delicious items to choose from we decided on two different burgers and shared. both were delicious and cooked perfectly. the staff, energy, vibe and music were all fantastic. I would highly recommend SGB to all for a great meal and beer.“

“Came here with a group of 4 and we were all impressed. We ordered the fried chicken with buffalo sauce (that cast iron presentation was a nice touch), the French dip sliders with a really solid salad, a burger with fries, and the cocktails were genuinely great — the chili-rimmed one with dried citrus was a showstopper.
Everything came out well-seasoned and the portions were generous. The vibe inside is warm and lively without being too loud. Great spot to unwind after a day in the park.
Highly recommend if you’re staying in Yosemite — don’t just grab something quick, make time for this place.“

“Being locals and having tried this Denny's several times years ago, we were amazingly surprised! Our past visits included all of the elements from every older bad review. Something has drastically changed and it's for the better. Now granted, we went for a late dinner so diners were few, but everything had become stellar in comparison to past visits!
