“Absolutely delightful find in little Alamo! Today I was introduced to this gem and have fallen in love.

I was shocked to find such a full breakfast and lunch menu along with their pastry and coffee bar offerings. The French staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and they have no shortage of indoor or outdoor bistro seating.

Each dish, item, and drink was delightful and I can’t wait to return!“

“My first experience with the house of bagels, but in the late 60s, I attended high school with one of the sons and also had my first Onion flat. After moving back from New York and year 2000 I was glad to see that they were still in business, And that whenever I am in and around always without hesitation, stop by to pick up some bagels or two or three🥰“

“So happy to finally have an authentic French bakery cafe in our town. Their coffees, breads, pastries and quiches are superb and I love it when they add new flavors and items on the menu. Also I think most of their pricing is reasonable given the quality of their ingredients. So they are doing fabulous but here are some additional suggestions from me - -I wish they would do a weekly soup and quiche flavor according to the seasons as they do with desserts. -I would love to see a comprehensible cake list with sizes and prices to be able to order cakes for birthdays and such. -I would love to see opera cake slices as it’s one of my favorites. -Since most items are on the $$ side, it would be great if they let people sample a few of the newer things because people are hesitant to spend money on something they are not sure they would like. “We ordered a sandwich and chicken pancakes, which they kindly replaced with turkey upon our request. This came with a small portion of soup. We really liked that the portions overall were generous. Everything was delicious. The coffee was a bit bitter for me personally as I prefer a smoother taste, but the owners were very polite and the atmosphere was pleasant. The food was tasty and authentic. I truly recommend visiting. I am not sure why the rating is so low, but I highly recommend giving this place a try.“

“i'm just a girl but this cake is so pretty to not post!! i've been ordering birthday cakes from this place for a few years now for my family, and asked to place an order for a mixed fruit n cream cake! initially, i ordered writing on it as it was a thank you cake, but i ended up finding out last minute that i couldn't give the cake to the recipient. but, that was completely okay, because my bday was coming up so this ended up being my bday cake. i can't complain because it came out absolutely gorgeous :') i've never received macarons or sprinkles on my cakes from ladyfingers, but this nice touch was so lovely. i also love the peekaboo piping on the cake, its so cute. i really missed oakland chinatown's mixed fruit cream cakes after i had to move to san leandro. finding out that ladyfingers in san leandro also sold mixed fruit cream cakes (and dare i say prettier cakes) made me ecstatic. thank you for giving me a taste of my childhood, i can't thank you enough.“

“Dennis, the owner, is awesome. Great selection of bakery pastries like scones, cinnamon rolls, etc. He also has freshly baked French bread and dinner rolls. I personally go there for some coffee and a breakfast croissant, along with some French bread for dinner. Prices are way more affordable than the lee’s next door. I would recommend anyone to try their ube halaya and buko pie, it's not too sweet and it is best eating it during snack time with a coffee. But if you have a sweet tooth and loves eating a dessert after a meal, try tasting their yummy leche flan (it is like a creme brulee).“
