“There are Starbread locations throughout NorCal, but there's just something special about this particular location. Something in the senorita bread just makes it extra moist, extra buttery, and extra sweet. Maybe it's the love that goes into making these delicate fine bread! The service is always phenomenal here. When there is a line, it usually goes quick and the wait isn't ever long. The senorita breads are always served hot and fresh.“

The menu is much more diverse and encompassing than I imagined. The baked goods are delicious and the packaging is on point as well. I wish I had taken some photos. I will have to return and do just that.The cinnamon roll, chocolate chip cookie, and the coffee cake are all incredible. The cookie dough is delicious (I was told since I refuse to eat uncooked dough). Soft serve ice cream will soon be available as well.Try it. You'll love it!“

“The shop is very quaint and has a wide variety of baked goods + farmer's market quality condiments. This is a Berkeley staple! The apple cider was very tasty and warm. It seemed like they poured it from a premade container that was sourced from a local farm and then warmed it up. Both baked goods were fantastic and baked fresh that morning. The Rosemary puff is lovingly described by my friend as a "savory donut" - and for good reason! It has a sourdough base that is both fragrant and flavorful, but not overpowering. It has the perfect amount of sea salt seasoning and rosemary flavor, and just enough oil to make it soft and slightly juicy in the best way possible. It tastes great on its own or with one of the sauces sold at the collective! The pear ginger muffin was also very yummy and fresh with a distinctly citrusy flavor. It was fluffy and not too sweet. 10/10 experience!“

Let me just say.. it's one of the best versions I've had. I'm kicking myself for not getting more! Other standouts were the calamansi bites (an upgraded version of the lemon bar) and the coffee flan. Location: the location is in a shopping plaza near sunvalley mall and diablo Valley College. The same plaza with happy lemon. Parking is easy to find in the area. Ambiance: smell of Filipino seniorita bread and baked goods fill the space. However, there is no chairs and tables. It only has space for the tables and chairs. Food: you don't need to travel to Hawaii to eat a good masala. Starbread has a variety of deserts like seniorita bread, mochi donuts, Filipino style donuts like bichu bichu. And masalas. Credit card is accepted if the order is more than 7 dollars. The ube msalas is delicious. Overall, come to this place if you miss Hawaii and want to Try filipino baked goods for a reasonable price.“

Their parking situation is not the best, meter parking by park smart inc. which is a shady company. You will get ticketed even if you paid. I got ticketed with minutes left on the meter and the disputing process is impossible. It's sad this parking company makes it so hard to support local businesses.“

“I'm not a CAKE PERSON, but some occasions simply require a cake. I ordered one such cake and was blown away. It was perfect! First, it was visually stunning. Next, the taste and texture CHANGED me to a CAKE CONVERT. PERFECT! Last, there was a hiccup in the order. One detail was overlooked. There was no time given to assessing the blame. They simply fixed the problem and sent me in my way. All this and the cake was deliciously vegan. Beautiful location and I love being able to see how the sausage is made--so to speak. 6 out of 5 stars!“

“This place has absolutely delicious birria tacos and consomé. This has been the only thing I've ordered from their menu (there's no other place I know of near me that serves these tacos) but I would also like to try their birria quesadillas. They're listed on the menu as "red tacos" and are about $15 for 3 tacos and the consomé is a separate extra cost. When it comes out fresh, the tacos are super cheesy and yummy. The building is very spacious and doesn't get too busy, so I always get to grab a table. In the middle of the restaurant, they display their desserts and pastries such as flan and alfajores. The restaurant is located in the Park and Shop surrounded by a lot of different Asian cuisines, dessert shops, and a grocery store. If you try parking close to the restaurant, that is the area that is the most congested, we always park in the back of the building.“

My favorite has to be their key lime pie one, its the perfect mix of tart and sweetness and it's a must try! They also have a lot of other really great flavors as well and they're pretty inclusive with vegan and gluten free options! The storefront itself is quite simple and there's not really any space for you to sit down and enjoy the cupcakes so it's more of a to go thing! If you pay cash you can avoid their extra fee. Delicious baked goods and cupcakes. Their cinnamon sugar loaf is really yummy but bad for your waistline, as is all the stuff at the bakery, to be honest. Service is always nice and helpful. Their new dining area in the back is so nice. I've had their salads and sandwiches also which are delicious.“
