There are limited seatings available, but if you come around late morning on a weekday you should be able to find a seat. “This is a nice, casual neighborhood cafe that's dog friendly. I tried the mushroom empanada because all the meat empanadas had green onions, which I have a food intolerance/allergy to. The empanada was delicious and a filling snack! I just wish there's a meat empanada option without green onions. Service was also friendly. This place is also very dog friendly if you're coming here with your dog. There's a dog leash hook in the outdoor seating area, and you can ask the staff for a water bowl for your dog as well.“

“After trying many matcha einspanner drinks in LA, I've been craving one in the Bay Area. I tried the iced mindspanner matcha and ceremonial matcha latte with suggested sweetness. The iced mindspanner matcha had a very light matcha flavor, so I'd definitely recommend adding extra matcha for $1.25. This one didn't compare to the other einspanner matcha drinks I've had in LA. But, there wasn't an extra charge for oat milk so that was nice. The ceremonial matcha latte had a good matcha flavor and was definitely the better drink of the two.“
“Thought it was time I wrote a review of SweetMarias Coffee Warehouse for Google patrons. Firstly, I’ve never visited this location in person. I’m strictly an online customer. My first purchase dates back to the spring of 2008 when I purchased a coffee subscription. IIRC this subscription lasted over a 3 month period. One of the owners (Thompson Owens) would ship a pound of roasted coffee to me every other week. I would always choose an espresso roast as I was trying to learn the art of brewing espresso at home & through the research I had done it was necessary to use freshly roasted espresso coffee. So the plan was to use Thomason’s espresso roasts as a benchmark to my beginnings as a home coffee roaster. The subscription would rotate through all of the espresso roasts SM’s (SweetMarias) they offered and at the time there were around 5 or 6 styles of espresso coffees they offered with their coffee subscription. What a treat it was to have finely roasted fresh roasted coffee sent to me over that 3 month period. So here we are in January 2024 some 16 years later and I am still buying coffee from SweetMarias except the coffee I have been buying the past 16 years is green coffee that I roast instead of having Thompson roast it for me. I want to make it clear that I have been extremely satisfied with all of the green coffee i have purchased these past 16 years from SweetMarias & I should mention I have purchased green coffee from several other sources on occasion during this time & in no way have any of these other sources come close to matching the level of quality service I’ve always received from SweetMarias & why I’ve continued doing business with Thompson, Maria and all the staff at this coffee warehouse. Besides offering the best selection of coffee throughout the world, SweetMarias also provides an extensive array of everything needed to roast and brew coffee. If I haven’t covered it, their shipping has been outstanding, including the price that’s charged for this service. More often than not i buy 20 pound lots of coffee at a time and shipping usually for 20 and more pounds for $12, certainly no higher than $15 and I need to mention I live in Florida, about 2000 + miles one way. I also want to mention the excellent reviews of all the coffees SM’s offers. It’s quite a feat for the staff, including Thompson for them to be able to convey in a few paragraphs literally all that is needed to know in order to make an intelligent choice when choosing which coffee to select yet their reviews on tasting and all of the other variables you need to know, are written in a concise & easily read manner. If you’re for a place to buy green or roasted coffee, look no further“
“Was excited to finally visit this new cafe nestled in the historic charm of our weekend Jackson Square walk. We found their inviting interior an ideal setting for a relaxed coffee break and casual meal with our group. And speaking of coffee, their freshly brewed roasts, roasted on-site in a huge visible roaster, were beyomd perfect. And t's not just about the coffee as the menu featured a variety of homemade and fresh baked treats, from hot scones to sandwiches and salads, all prepared in their open kitchen. The smoothies, we were told have gained popularity and made waves on social media. We tried Maca Cloud and its imopressive with a long list of execpetional ingredinets. The charming floral displays at the entrance were a crowd pleaser and it was great to see a mix locals, tourits and even a huge group from SF Fire Dept enjoying the space. Give it a try; I suspect you won't be disappointed.“

“Even before it officially opened, this place became one of my most favorite local spots. The location is beautiful inside and out. The outdoor space sports a stunning mural and plenty of space. The most important thing, the coffee is amazing and I'm very picky. I buy beans here for my own espresso machine and they do not disappoint. The customer service is top notch and I am always treated warmly. That warmth spills out to the space itself which is beautiful place to enjoy your drinks and pan dulce . They display an array of unique artisan products and I have gotten a few and all have been excellent quality. The space is chic looking but underneath that is a lot of authenticity that you can feel as soon as you walk in the door. Clearly I am a big fan.“

There’s always a delicious pastry or 3 available, boichik bagels with vegan schmear options, and they had HAND PIES the other day from Edith’s Pie (like a guest pop up situation I’m guessing?) I got the chorizo potato and my spouse ordered the sausage, egg, and cheese. We were both pleased! The staff is always really nice, there’s ample seating inside, a bar area, a back patio, and two or three tables our front.“

“The spinach egg quesadilla was good, but not as good as the photos I saw on Google Maps from a year ago. The one I got today was very spinach forward and light on the eggs. (See photos) It also lacked structural integrity since there wasn't a cheese layer holding everything together like in a normal quesadilla. As a result, it kind of falls apart while you're eating it. Would be nice if it were grilled too.“

A very nice Cafe with very knowledgeable staff and a coop coffee roasting facility in the back, where you can watch the roasting and processing of the magic beans happen, right before your eyes. “The coffee is solid and a local favorite. It's not third-wave coffee though - so don't expect single-origin offerings, cortados, latte art, and fruity/complex espresso. This is a second-wave coffee shop, and although, I was slightly disappointed to find out they didn't serve cortados - I realized, hey this ain't SF, you're in ~Oakland~. I loved the vibe of this place. I think the news tends to extrapolate how sketch and dangerous Oakland is, but there's some really great, walkable parts. This coffee shop location is one of them. In this coffee shop, you'll see lots of hipsters in their mid-thirties coming from a work out class or morning run/ride, dressed in eclectic but stylish gorp-fashion. There's not much seating inside. Maybe a few tables for parties of two. There's a couple tables outside too, but it's close to some shipping bays - and parking looked difficult around here. The lattes are great, if you like dark, nutty espresso. I thought they steamed the milk quite well here too. 5/5 stars“

“My daughter's preschool was on Park St, which made it easy to pick up breakfast at Highwire on the walk back after dropping her off. Now that she's in kindergarten I don't have the easy excuse to drop by as often, but still try to make it when I can. Even with coming by much less frequently the staff still remember my name, which I find amazing given how bad I am at names, and the service is always friendly and prompt even when they're busy. I especially like the seasonal drinks, and my daughter loves the apple juice. My go-to is usually one of the seasonal drinks and a bagel and cream cheese or these muffins they have that have an egg inside (did I mention I'm bad with names?).“
