“The all-you-can-eat fish on Friday was delicious. Sea bass fried to perfection. Dill tartar sauce was a nice touch. Large portion. Reasonably priced. The cheesy grits was the best grits I’ve ever eaten. The brisket sandwich was juicy and delicious. We’ll be back.“
“Best IPAs I have this year so far. Talked to one of their owners Jamie and she is very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend even with a 30 mins drive from downtown San Diego.“

“After our soccer game, I stumbled in parched like I'd crossed the Sahara. Started with water (hydration is key, folks), leveled up to a mango lemonade, and finally decided it was time to go big or go home with a bloody mary. Spoiler: my stomach was thrilled. Coconut shrimp? Yes, please. Buffalo chicken wrap? Don’t mind if I do.
Now, the service was on island time—slow—but the waitresses were so friendly, we didn’t even mind the wait. Good food, great vibes, slow but sweet service!“

“We were eating lunch in Point Loma when my wife said, “Let’s get dessert at Café Adesso in Aloine! It’s Joe Musgrove’s mom’s drive-through coffee shop!” What could I say except, “Hell yass!” And off we went up Rosecrans and east on the 8. We really annoyed the hit and cold Almond Roca Mocha . Blueberry scone and cheese danish. Mostly, we enjoyed the “Dodgers Trash” cup! ??? Letgo, Joe! And #LFGSD“

“We enjoyed a very nice brunch here recently. There was outdoor seating available which was nice but small. We opened the large umbrella over the little table at some point to keep it out of my son's face. When closed, the bottom edge was too close for comfort and convo. My son ordered the country fried steak and eggs with biscuits and gravy. Although we both thought the gravy could have had more sausage, the biscuits and gravy were pretty delicious. I didn't try the steak but he loved it. My meal of chicken and waffles was quite tasty. The bone-in chicken was incredíbly crispy, large, and delicious. The waffle was cooked to perfection, also with great crispness and a lovely golden brown color. The details I longed for, maple syrup and browned butter, were not present. The lovely waffle was a bit lacking in flavor. Still, the food earns a solid 4 stars and minor adjustments could bring more. Service was friendly.“

“What Can I say, this place is one of the best in Alpine. They are not a large place, but the food is large and wonderful. They have a wonderful staff that is super nice and great customer service. Super busy on the weekends, but worth the wait. I have gone for dinner and lunch and have never been disappointed.“
