“I recently visited Curb Grill in Montrose, and I can’t stop raving about the experience! This family-owned gem is a must-visit for anyone craving high-quality food in a welcoming environment. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla with sausage and bacon, and it was hands-down one of the best I’ve ever had—packed with fresh, flavorful ingredients, perfectly cooked eggs, and a generous portion that left me satisfied. Every bite was a testament to the care and quality they put into their dishes.
The restaurant itself was impeccably clean, from the dining area to the counter, creating a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The bright, well-maintained space made the whole experience even more enjoyable. What truly set Curb Grill apart, though, was the owner, Albert, whose friendliness made us feel like part of the family from the moment we walked in. His warm hospitality and genuine enthusiasm for connecting with customers elevated the visit to something special.
I wholeheartedly recommend Curb Grill to all Montrose locals looking for a fantastic meal and a great vibe. This place has earned a spot as a regular go-to for me and my family—we’ll definitely be back time and time again“

“One of the best coffee spots in Pasadena! Love coming here to get my caffeine fix in. I've tried most of the menu and you honestly can't go wrong picking any drink. They offer hot and iced coffee as well as matcha and a few pastries. The owners are extremely kind people who clearly love what they do and it shows. They also give back to the community which speaks volumes. I cannot recommend this cute little coffee truck enough.“

“I drive by this spot all the time and finally stopped to give it a try. I got the Al Pastor burrito and was sooo happy with my choice. You see them cooking it right in front of you, all fresh. The tortillas are handmade as well and you can absolutely tell the difference. Love the salsas as well. It’s quick, reasonably priced, and everyone is kind. What more can you want from a local taco stand? If you are wondering whether to stop in, just do it already and thank me later“
“This place is so good! I've been watching the videos for this food for a while and finally decided to try out. I highly recommend!“
“The Tacos de birria where very delicious it’s a must to go and try them out I really recommend this place“
“We've been there a couple of times in the past few weeks and this truck probably serves the best lobster rolls in the Pasadena-San Gabriel area. Shrimp chips, calamari fry are also some must tries! Hot and fresh food! Our go to lobster food truck in this area.“

“Hands down, the best taco truck in Pasadena! Established in 1979, Los California Tacos has perfected the art of tacos with their flavorful, fresh, and non-greasy offerings. The service is friendly and fast, making it a go-to spot for taco enthusiasts. Their al pastor and chicken tacos are particularly popular among regulars. Don't miss out on this local favorite!“

“Mas Cafecito has delicious unique coffee flavored drinks. The only thing I was surprised about is that they don't sell regular unsweetened black coffee! How does a coffee place not sell regular black coffee?“

“Look: It’s been a minute since a burrito slayed me, but Lupita’s did. The al pastor with salsa verde, avocado, and cheese (sour cream is also included, but I thought that would be too much) was incredible. Add in some friendly service and this is a great stop if you’re downtown!“

“If you’re craving tasty street tacos, Tacos La Guera delivers solid flavor and generous portions—exactly what you’d hope for from a late-night taco stop. The meats are well-seasoned and the tortillas nicely warmed, making every bite satisfying.
Payment is convenient since they accept credit cards, but note there’s an extra fee they don’t mention up front. They also prompt for tips, which feels a bit unusual for a casual street-food stand. It isn’t mandatory, so you can decide for yourself. Overall, great food with a couple of small caveats.“

“It is hard to get to the restrnt right now due to construction, the fact there were people there testifies to how popular it is. My wife got the thai crepe, it was really good! I got the beast, loaded with meatp; but I would still have preferred the thai crepe too! Orders are done at the counter and brought to your table.“

“I come here a lot with my husband and friends but today was very disappointing. I ordered a torta de asada and was very upset. 5 pieces of black aguacate and half a piece of tomato for the entire torta. Than my husband ordered some tacos and the meat wasn’t seasoned and half of the meat was burned. We are very disappointed we have never been disappointed before this is one of our favorite places to go eat. Today the people working their looked new we paid $37 for our food and are upset.“

“Their flour tortillas are made fresh on the spot and have a soft chewiness you rarely find in LA. I tried the carne asada burrito and was blown away by the grilled meat and spicy salsas. The outdoor setup is casual—just picnic tables and an awning—but it gets crowded fast. Staff is fast and friendly. It’s hard to go anywhere else once you’ve had their tortillas“

“My family has been coming here for years, ever since I was a kid. My boyfriend and I come here whenever we get a chance because the cemitas are a classic! I could eat everything off the menu!! Extremely delicious and fresh. The agua frescas are also refreshing and pair so well with the food. Live atmosphere and music. Always a pleasure coming here.“

“Had 3 different types of tacos. Brisket, Asada and Cabeza.
Cabeza was the best of the tacos, as well as their salsas.
However, the star of the show was the Al Pastor Mulita!! Unreal, I wanted to order 3 more!“

“This taco truck is hands down my favorite spot.
• Lengua: Not diced, but served as a thick slab with the perfect balance of flavor and chew. If the world ended tomorrow, this would be on my last meal list.
• Nachos with everything + carne asada: The asada, tomatoes, onions, jalapeños, and cheese hit perfectly with the round nacho chips. Add the creamy salsa verde and every bite is on point.
• Pastor: Juicy, consistent, and never dry. Exactly what you want when the late-night munchies hit.
I haven’t made it to the seafood yet because my go-to orders are too good, but I’ve seen people rave about the fish tacos. Staff is always welcoming and friendly. Just remember to bring cash for tips. Parking is easy on the street or library during non business hours.“

“If I could give them a 10, I would! We’d been hunting for them since seeing them on IG, and after reading all the great reviews, we made the drive from Upland. The Sunset spot was closed since they were at the 101 Night Market—so we kept going, determined to try it! Found their truck easily, free parking, less than a 20min wait. The man on the truck (I think the owner) greeted us kindly, and the woman taking orders was super sweet. We got the Deep Dive with the hotness at Reel Burn, fries, and lemonade. The fries were seasoned just right and perfectly crisp. But that first bite of the sandwich... BLEW MY MIND—flavor, seasoning, and heat all perfection. You can tell they cook with care and intention. Drove back home full, satisfied, and so happy. Thanks, Nashfin! I'm a fan.

“We are from out of state & have family in San Gabriel so whenever we are visiting we look up the Tacos Jalisco truck. We don't have many (if any) food trucks where we are from, and I have been to MX several times and had some real live tacos, and these guys are spot on. I highly recommend!“

“Dude, I’m really impressed with this little spot. The food is flavorful, fresh, and not greasy, and the gentlemen working here are kind Sinaloenses who are easy to talk to. Authentic Mexican food without the fluff. The tacos are fairly priced and GOOD, the gringa is insane if that’s your thing.
If you’re looking for something a bit lighter, I highly recommend the bowl. The flavors are spot on, the portions are generous (easily enough for two meals), and it’s hearty without being heavy.
This is my new spot. Maybe I’m a little biased since my family is also from Mazatlán, but trust me, this place is authentic and you feel good spending your money here.“

“Rodney's ribs are the Truth. I moved to Pasadena recently. I've had Q at Dreamland in Alabama, 12 Bones in North Carolina, Franklin's in Austin, Corky's in Memphis and Hecky's in Chicago, and this is some of the most righteously smoked meat I've ever had. Thank you, Rodney.“

“We moved to Highland Park 14 years ago based on our apartment’s proximity to El Pique. Technically we owe El Pique our gratitude for not only for making the finest tacos in LA, but also helping us to find affordable rent controlled housing (we still live in the same apartment). I’ve been vegetarian for almost two decades now and El Pique makes THE BEST vegetarian tacos and THE BEST red salsa in all of the land. My husband who eats meat, orders mainly veggie tacos or their veggie quesadilla. If you haven’t had their veggie quesadilla, you need to get right and order it—no veggie quesadillas is better (if you order during day tho, ask for no lettuce). Their horchata and Champurrado are yummy too. On top of all of this, everyone who works here is a lovely person, they make us smile every time.
El Pique is so beloved among our friends, that we did a band photo shoot in front of the truck and then we introduced El Piq to other musician friends, and they also did a photo shoot there. Again, they’re the best, go there.
We love you El Pique, never change!“

“My my my, one of the best asada burritos I have had in a while.
I couldn't tell you if it was ground beef or what, but it didn't matter, since it was delicious.
Make sure to get the burrito with cheese.
The salsa verde and rojo were also very delicious, specially the red sauce, bbq Chipotle flavor.
But the burrito was so delicious on its own that you can have it without any salsa.
13$ + 1$ for cheese +2$ soda.
Reasonable prices for very good food.
Some might say the portion is small, but who cares. Its delicious.
They also serv breakfast burrito ( all day, or until they run out)“
“Very comfortable place to be in. Everyone was relaxed and you could hear the staff in the kitchen communicating getting the orders out. They have good lighting, a larger modern menu board with a great selection. They had light hearted music playing and a big tv to watch the Dodger games. I was surprised to see Birria on the menu so had to get that for sure! I think I will may this my goto spot a couple days a week so I can eat better for less and no dishes to wash.“

“Fantastic. Delightful. Yummy. We had their carne asada burritos, carne asada taco and el pastor taco. Everything was so flavorful. I was craving carne asada, but great carne asada not the bland stuff you find at most places. They city we live in DOES NOT have a single place that satisfies our taco and burritos craving. We found this place by chance and it did not disappoint. Trust the 5 star reviews. They're telling the truth. Although this is a 30-40 minute drive from home, we will gladly make the drive for this food. Oh and the horchata is the best!“

“I came over to El Flamin Taco after leaving a concert at The Echo. I ordered one chicharron, one al pastor, and one asada taco. When they came out, I loaded them up with pico de gallo, cilantro and onion, pickled red onion, salsa, and fresh lemon.
The tacos were all very tasty, though I think my ranking from favorite to least favorite is: chicharron, asada, al pastor. That’s not to say the al pastor was bad—it was actually really tasty. I just really enjoyed the chicharron and asada. The toppings were super fresh and the salsas were both delicious.
This is a very yummy taco spot. I’ll have to come back and try out some other items, like the California burrito and the Cubana torta.“

“This area of highland Park which is to say the stretch of North Figueroa Street from avenue 26 all the way to eagle Rock Boulevard is a little bit of a mariscos desert, other than the shrimp tacos at La Estrella. (El pescador is overrated) So it was very exciting to find out about this truck. Excellent service -- outstanding campechana, savory in a peppery way that was welcome. Shrimp tacos were outstanding . Very convenient and even at lunch time there wasn't a long wait“

“Fresh & delicious seafood on the street, food truck.
Parking: Street parking either in front or back of food truck so best to be nearby for pick-up & eat home.
Wheelchair accessibility: If you do not mind street parking either in front or behind the food truck & can tolerate eating messy food outside instead of the comfort of your home.“
