“If you haven't been to the The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens for a while... you may not realize they now and growing have 5 different locations to eat within the gardens. Noodle house in the Chinese Gardens, Tea house and patio Cafe in the Rose Garden area. Tea Room now allows you to make reservations on Open Table. Cafe 1919 has a great variety including the Border Grill, Sushi and much more. ... Its all a great compliment to the Fine Art ,gardens ,research and events.... Not a member - The Red Car Cafe and 1919 Cafe are towards the entrance and can be enjoyed by the without entrance fee to the gardens in a great relaxing setting .“

“My first time here. The salad was great. I don't like the fact that I felt like my salad was thrown at me and I also received the wrong order. There were 2 Rebeccas. But again, the salad was delicious and it was a nice portion. I can compare Chop Stop to Simply Salad; they just don't have the ingredients at the front counter and they are more affordable than simply salad. I spent 22.00 here. At SS I ways spent 32.00+ With that being said, I will definitely go back on a regular basis.

“This place is by far the BEST salad spot I've been to in years. There's always parking at ground level, right in front of the restaurant. Usually super short wait to be served. Staff is always friendly, welcoming, efficient! Ambience is clean, minimalist, modern. Great place for a quiet retreat and a refreshing healthy meal. I've also had their salads delivered. #1 organic greens and dressings!“

Monthinga is good although pretty mild for my taste. More than decent warm mushy tofu. One of the best Nangyithoke. Complementary sago pudding is great too. We didn't have the time for dessert so they packed it for us. Can't recommend them enough.“

You will be saddened to realize that no other place can compete, and you don't have the budget or time to go to Bub and Grandma's every time you want to eat out. In fact, you may be forced to stay in and cook until you save up enough money and vacation time to make another trip out to Bub and Grandma's. I’ve also come by at night and the whole area is activated with night market, bars etc. Also have taken pizza to go or by the slice. “We were in town from Palm Springs for the day and went to Little Goat after finding it online. One of the best spur of the moment stops ever - we absolutely loved the pizza and the service was phenomenal, super sweet server. We ordered two pizzas - margarita and the chef’s special apple/walnut/kale/caramelized onion/goat cheese. They were both amazing! We eat a lot of pizza and definitely have a new top favorite. Outdoor seating has both stellar views and people watching; there is a cute patisserie down the street that’s an amazing desert stop for the perfect date night; we will definitely stop by next time we are in town! We will try the house made panna cotta next time. :) Highly recommend checking them out!“

“Skaf’s on York truly feels like home every time I visit. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Their food blends traditional Lebanese flavors with a fresh, modern twist, and everything on the menu is consistently delicious.

I never know what to order because their dishes never disappoint. When I’m craving that classic home-style comfort, I go for the fattoush salad with rice and shawarma — and of course, the warm pita bread and creamy hummus are a must. If I’m in the mood to try a little bit of everything, I pick a few of their sides. Their cheese rolls are amazing! And on days when I want something simple yet still full of flavor, the lentil soup is always perfect.

“Very few non-vegan restaurants have vegan mayo and cheese, so I was thrilled to be able to order a sandwich. Far from fancy, but a nice place for a sandwich and chit chat with friends, either sitting inside or outside. Parking lot is free for first 90 minutes. My family loved the fresh-baked non-vegan cookies for dessert and even bought extra to take home!“

“The cutest Mexican diner. My friend and I stumbled upon it while looking for a place to eat before the Magic Market at Heritage Square. Get the wine!! It’s a giant pour for 5.50! “This review is for my experience with catering. Due to a mix-up at another restaurant, I had to make last-minute changes to catering plans for a small gathering I was hosting. A couple days before my event, I inquired whether Dune Atwater would be able to fulfill my order.

Leslie the catering director responded the next day and gave recommendations for the size of my event as well as dietary needs. I submitted the order as recommended and picked up the next day.

Food came out on time and they helped load my order into the car. Wow, I was very impressed with the packaging and presentation. Came with quality serving utensils, placards describing the food and ingredients/allergens. Vegetable platter was beautifully arranged with an incredible variety of pickled veggies, salads, and hummus.

Our guests were very impressed by the food presentation, and most importantly, everything was delicious. People who had never eaten at Dune were asking where we catered from. So glad things worked out and we would definitely cater with Dune again.“
