The Habit Burger Grill in South El Monte is such a great spot! The outdoor seating is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by palm trees with a tropical vibe that makes it feel like you’re stepping into a movie scene when you walk up to order.
They offer both walk-up ordering and self-service kiosks, which makes the experience really convenient. Even though it’s called Habit Burger, they have a wide variety of options on the menu for everyone.
I ordered the Santa Fe (Southwestern) grilled chicken salad, and it was amazing — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully put together with grilled chicken, avocado, ranch, cheese, and smoky, delicious bacon. My husband got a double cheeseburger, and it was just as impressive — super fresh and full of flavor. We also ordered fries and a Dr Pepper to go with it.
Just a heads up: this location carries Pepsi products (not Coke) and does not accept EBT — they take cash, debit, or credit.
Overall, it was a great experience with good food, a relaxing atmosphere, and a nice setup. Definitely worth a visit!“

I really wanted Shan noodle with Tofu but mostly Burmese Restaurant only offered Shan Noodle, but this one has it. So I ordered Shan Tofu Noodle and it’s so fresh. Monhikha is good but texture is thick.
The place is hard to find as it’s really small inside. Waiting time for food is so long, for me, I waited for about 20 25 mins to get my food after already ordering. The lunch special deal is good one.“

“A Hidden pizza place on the second floor. We would have completely missed it if it wasn’t for the sign on the street. We noticed a lot of people coming in for pick up but decided to dine in. We picked the Biggio flavor and the pizza came out in 20 minutes. First bite was delicious. The sauce is tart and flavorful. The crust is chewy and light. Meat was crispy and plentiful. Noodle house in the Chinese Gardens, Tea house and patio Cafe in the Rose Garden area. Tea Room now allows you to make reservations on Open Table. “Love this park!! Best part is that it’s calm, clean, plenty to do for both kids and adults. Kids playing area is just bubbling with kids. Lots of trees and green patches. Ideal for dogs to roam around as well. Plenty of picnic tables. Has a basket ball court, baseball playground, kids training on football, soccer all the time, a kids pool and hitting zone right next.

Has 2 parking lots which were rebuilt a year ago. It’s neat and holds more than 100 cars easily. Father section of second parking lot houses a bunch of pigeons (around 100 or so). Fun watching them gather and flock around.

Have always loved hanging out here.

My only concern is that at times a section near the main shelter tends to have a few shady people occupy the space. It has been harmless for a few years now. But still felt like mentioning here for the sake of information.“
