“Very busy place for breakfast so as soon as you arrive put your name on the list, although it is quick to go to the table or you can eat at the bar, where in my experience it was faster. Having little staff to take care of several tables, they do their job but neglect small details such as taking time to serve coffee or placing your order. The food is generally abundant and rich, not delicious, but it is a pleasant place in town where they stop before starting a tasting in the vineyards. The muffins are made daily and are served with margarine, in my taste butter would be better but it is personal.“

Upon tasting my first bite I was immediately transported back in time to my childhood remembering the rich unique textures and flavors of a cake from long ago. The entire process of ordering the cake, submitting payment, and picking up the finished product went so smoothly. I simply sent Tony a picture of what I wanted, which was a random image my brother had text to me of a Loki Gator. Tony made fantasy a reality. Tony's Cakes has become our household standard. “What a lovely surprise! This unassuming establishment is a typical Mexican bakery where you take your tray and tongs and select your own pan dulce! I came in early in the morning, picked out a few items and, as the owner was ringing me up, I noticed they only take cash. As I legitimately didn't have any cash on me, I told her to stop bagging up my treats as I didn't have any cash. "No worries!" she said. "I'm the owner and I will give these to you. That way, you'll go home, you'll taste it and like it, and you'll come back." I was shocked by the generosity and genuineness. “We have been going to Dianna's for years. We moved to the area back in 2014, and found out in 2017 that my husband was celiac.

Dianna makes all her cakes, cookies, breads and pastries with loving care, and makes many items gluten free, which is such a treat for my husband.

Her sandwiches and coffee are good too, and she usually has homemade GF bread in reserve to make a quick GF sandwich for those requiring it.

Like any "local store", product availability varies. Some days my husband can get GF Banana Bread or Carrot Cake. Other times, those aren't available but GF Zucchini Bread and Red velvet cake are. It's actually a nice surprise.

I suspect Dianna's was hit hard by Covid, and I know she's mostly a one-man show now, which must be a lot of work. But she does a good job of cranking out the goodies and serving them up well.

If you're in the area, especially if you are celiac, I highly recommend giving Dianna's a try for lunch or coffee/tea and baked goods!“
