“Flavor explosion! You'll be hard pressed to beat the food being put out by Hanloh (quality, taste, presentation); it easily bests random places that I've eaten at across Thailand, right in downtown Santa Cruz.Apps were great, and the chicken was cooked perfectly, but the curries are absolutely out of this world. Good beverage selection (though I wish they offered lemonade/similar).The BAD ANIMAL book store setting provides a cool, trendy, hipster vide. And it can also be INCREDIBLY noisy.Wheelchair accessibility: Fully accessible.“
“We had Thai Heart do a large take-out order for a joint 40th birthday party we were hosting. They did such an amazing job not only getting all the food prepared in time but packaged it in large catering trays in cardboard boxes for easy transportation. The food was delicious and in generous portions; it ended up being way more cost-effective than any catering companies we could find. Can't recommend them enough!“
“The food is always so fresh and yummy every time we order it! The servers are always so nice on the phone. The yellow curry and pad Thai the best in town. The peanut sauce is rich and creamy and the chicken satay has good flavor and tender meat. The Thai tea is very yummy too. The chili oil is very spicy but very good.“
“I went here for the first time tonight. I had placed an order over the phone and it was ready when I got there. I ordered vegan yellow curry and it was delicious! Very flavorful. Also I ordered a Thai tea with coconut milk and I don't think they charge extra for coconut milk which is nice. Overall I would recommend this place if you're looking for some good Thai food in the area.“
“Such a great little local Thai spot, albeit a bit expensive. After arriving from out of town to visit family for Thanksgiving, my family and I stopped in and enjoyed a quiet lunch at this wonderful little spot. The service was great, and the food was excellent. We had Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Green Curry and Spicy Eggplant and Tofu. All items were rich with flavor and well prepared. I do wish they'd been a bit more generous (especially for the cost), but overall we were pleased with the experience.Definitely consider checking out this great local business if you're in the area!Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options available, and the tofu/etc. was prepared marvelously!Kid-friendliness: While this spot does use formal dinnerware & silverware (glass cups, etc.) - it still provided a great experience for my kiddos. I wouldn't go so far as to say it was a 'formal' lunch, it definitely was a step up from typical hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurants.“
“I have been visiting the restaurant for the past 16 years for lunch. Employees have changed and plates, silverware too. Food has remained consistent, and prices have increased with time.Vegetarian options: You can have choices of curries with vegetables and tofu instead of meat.“
“Although, it's pricey, but some of the best Thai food you can find in town. I love their spring rolls, but mostly because the peanut sauce is worthy of drinking. Angel wings are not to be missed. If you love, a new and delightful crispy treat. Curry is always perfect, I've never had a disappointing item on the menu.“
“I love this place. The food is amazing, extremely tasteful, and seasoned perfectly. They have never gotten my order wrong. They're on top of everything, they don't play around haha. I usually do take out, but I dined in on my birthday a couple months ago and their service was amazing. The atmosphere was nice too. If you want authentic Thai food with great service, you should definitely try this place. I almost want to gatekeep because it's so good, but they deserve the business.“
“We love kao sook! They are so kind and welcoming and the food is delicious. We usually get the panang curry, it's amazing. And pad see ew which is super buttery and flavorful. I've also had the Tom yum soup which is really nice and the crab Rangoon's are high quality with lots of crab!“
“The service was amazing, the staff are really kind, especially the one at the front desk! The structure and atmosphere of everything was just beautiful, the vaulted ceiling just add to the experience and the plants were very nice. The food was delicious, I recommend the spring rolls!“
“THIS IS A WARNING ABOUT THEIR CLOSING TIME. While their ad says that they close at 8:30, the kitchen closes at 8 and they won't take any orders. As far as their food goes, it's excellent and my favorite Thai place. Great food, great service. I just wish this place (and others) would list the kitchen closed at a certain time instead of a half hour later, when you clearly can't place an order. Just FYI.“
