“Just found my new favorite Thai place in the Mountain View/Sunnyvale area for pad see ew! Pretty good portion size. Love that they use gai lan with broccoli. The beef protein was interesting in that it was more of a thin shabu-shabu style slice than a thicker "chinese-style" cut. Definitely would come back here again for the Pad See Ew and to try other dishes!“

“Great Thai food. My wife and I just moved back into the area and have been trying to find a decent Thai place. We both love Thai food! This place was wonderful. Fresh noodles for the pad kee mao and the curry was light and flavorful. The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. The prices are reasonable as well. This will be a regular spot for us and we can’t wait to branch out and try the street food options. Great menu and unique selection. Loved it!“

“Came for lunch. Tried to skip carb and eat healthier and asked if I can have veggie as replacement. The waitress was flexible and agreed to change it without extra charge. Food came fast. My soup was delicious, although the replaced bean sprouts were scanty. Can't ask for more when they were nice enough to modify for you.Basil chicken and yellow curry chicken were both tasty. Yet the papaya salad was unbearably sour and tasted terrible, it also had fishy smell. I've never had papaya salad this bad. The recipe was a disaster.Service was very nice. Staff was polite and attentive. Would probably come back to try other dishes.“

“TOMMY THAI WAS SPECIAL! I was wondering why there were so many bad reviews after I left. The food was amazing. The service was alright, and the ambiance was nice! I got the Cambodian noodle soup and the pineapple fried rice and both were amazing. The Cambodian noodle soup was absolutely phenomenal. The broth was so tasty and it was a cool transparent! There were so many veggies and so many noodles which I loved! Everything was perfectly cooked and so was my tofu as well. The pineapple fried rice was also amazing. There was barely any pineapple, but the rice was so flavorful and still had loads of everything else like veggies, cashews, and protein which I loved! It was really tasty and there were a couple of crispy rice which was a cherry on top! The portions were really large so expect leftovers. All of the food was also affordable, so because of all this I would definitely reccomend Tommy Thai to others and don't be afraid because of a couple bad reviews!“

“Ordered :Pad kee mow : 4/5Thai fried rice : 5/5Spicy fried rice : 6/5Will order again : 5/5 , absolutely. This is currently our favorite thai restaurant. This place is simply amazing for its fried rice, they are the best fried rice we have ever had, and even when we order them gluten-free and vegan, they are miles better than any other place.Hands down our favorite thai place to eat. Downside is that their fried rice are so amazing, we have never had other dishes at this place. The only caveat is that this is small place with limited staff, so if it gets crowded especially with takeout orders, the wait can be pretty long. We had come here on mother's day and it took around 50 minutes for our food to arrive, so best to come here on off hours. Also, the portion is kind of small. Most other places we have leftovers, but the portion size here is about 30% less that the other thai places we have visited.“

“We came on a Monday evening which is a slow night in general so the restaurant was very empty. We ordered the Bulgogi bowl, spicy pork bowl and cheese Bulgogi fries. It was a great value meal because of the amount of food there was in each bowl. The food tasted good but since it was a slow evening for them, I think a lot of their food is made in advance. Elements like the meat and the egg don't come out super hot and fresh tasting. Maybe it would be different if it was a busier night and they were making items to order. The Bulgogi cheese fries were decent but the areas with the cheese got soggy really quickly. Probably wouldn't order that again. I would recommend this place for the great value and comforting food. I just wish some of the key components of the bowls were made to order so it's hot and fresh tasting.“

“I ate lunch today at Thai Spoons on El Camino across from Toyota Sunnyvale. Basil Chicken was tasty and cooked perfectly. Panang Beef flavor was OK but the beef was very chewy so either Thai Spoons purchases poor quality beef or they overcook it. But it was awful. Too bad.The prices are quire reasonable -- $15 for rice and two entrees. $14 for rice and one entrée. The prices do not include drink but do include tax.Thai Spoons is a family run business for years. The decorum is OK and small. The employees are pleasant but I suppose one of them should have asked how my food was so I could be honest.Free parking in front and back.“

“We went here for a lunch with a group of friends. The staff were really nice and patient. Their service was prompt. The food was pretty good too!I tried the green curry, panang curry and drunken noodles with tofu as well as the Tom Kha Pak. I liked all the four dishes! The fried tofu was bland (to be expected). Mango sticky rice was good.I can’t personally comment about the shrimp and chicken dishes ordered at the table - but I didn’t hear any complaints.I tried their Lychee martini - which I did not like. Probably the only thing that I didn’t like.Something to keep in mind - their spice levels are mild, medium, hot, extra hot and Thai hot. All our dishes were a hot - and it was spicy for us. I usually order spice level 3 and went with hot assuming it was the happy medium - but it was spicier than expected. While we still enjoyed it - maybe we’ll choose the medium spice level next time we go here.“

Everything is family style so it's great to be able to share, although large parties (5+) might have a hard time fitting because of the size. “Excellent Thai restaurant.Well located, easy to access via car (lots of parking) or transit (522 and 22 stop nearby). The food is good, and the menu is extensive without feeling overwhelming. The seafood is fresh and masterfully prepared. The soups are particularly good compared to other Thai places nearby. The only downside is that I would say that the medium level spice is barely noticeable, so if you like spicy food, ask for spicy. However, they offer low or no spice versions for those so inclined, and I believe the medium spice would be perfect for people trying great Thai food for the first time. The service is truly superb. I have never had such good service in the US. Service like this truly improves the atmosphere of the restaurant as it's impossible for someone to be in a bad mood! The prices are very good compared to many spots in the Bay area.Thank you for the food.“

The chicken is always crunchy and the pickled carrots and daikon, crispy onions and cucumbers are just the perfect combination! The portion is perfectly filling without overwhelming! The staff are always polite even during really busy hours. They can get quite busy after 5, so sometimes the wait can feel a bit long, especially if you're really hungry! The front end always looks clean and orderly. There are a lot of people that come through whether they order for pick-up or at the counter. The location is convenient, especially to Stanford. It is also right next to Palmetto Superfoods, which is an acai bowl shop, which is my favorite placed to grab an acai bowl! Even though the plaza is always busy, we always manage to find a parking spot.Definitely recommend you stop by and grab something to eat!“

Pad Thai is very very good and of course you can have it as spicy or mild as you like. Right on Murphy Street lots of parking at the train station or across the street on Washington. The prices are right in line with what a decent Thai Place cost these days. Once again consistently good food at a good Target price, either eating in or taking out is very easy and very good. Portion sizes are great, lots of menu options and priced very reasonably. The fact that this place has duck on the menu is a big plus for me and they have Thai iced coffee which the restaurant I used to go to no longer has on their menu. Another great aspect was that they actually didn't bring appetizers and entrees all out at once like most Asian restaurants do. I want to enjoy my appetizer without my entree sitting there getting cold. These folks understand this!?? And there were so many great dessert options, I had trouble choosing.
