“This place has become our go-to spot for Thai takeout! During the pandemic, we ordered the Shelter-in-Place special through Grubhub, which included three entrees. I ordered everything at a medium spice level, which was quite hot for me, but still enjoyable. We had the tofu pad Thai, tofu pineapple fried rice, and spicy basil eggplant. The portion sizes were generous, and the flavors were fantastic. I really enjoyed the meal and will definitely be ordering from here again!“

“This restaurant makes the BEST Thai food!! I spent a month in Thailand and this tastes very authentic and the flavors are off the charts. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant, it’s so satisfyingly delicious… can’t wait to have more!
The restaurant is small but the staff are super friendly and the decor, table settings, and lighting are really nice.
*Best Thai food I’ve had since visiting the country!*“

“My partner and I loved Red Chili! The thit nuong (vietnamese bbq pork) was perfectly cooked and super flavorful. The thai curry was excellent and not sweet (a bit more authentic). The peach slush was creamy, flavorful, and very sweet. The thai tea was excellent with non-dairy coconut cream. There's some tables inside for dine-in, but you eat with takeout utensils.“

“Highly recommend this Thai spot. The woman Siri, is so sweet and will make you feel right at home! The food, compared to other local thai places give it a run for the money. The pineapple fried rice, Tom kha and the pad see ew are all on point. The restaurant is a bit smaller than other restaurants, so please call ahead of time if you decide to bring a big party so they can try to accommodate. I believe all their dishes have a happy blend of spice and flavor, depending on what you order. If you order something and it may be too spicy, you can ask for the spice instead on the side and add to your liking.“

“Amazing and authentic Thai food with great service. Recommend making reservations especially during the weekend because the place gets busy. Tons of options for vegetarians - they even make sure there is no fish sauce used if you’re ordering vegetarian dishes.“

“I travel for work and am a frequent patron of Blue Mango - and usually order for take out. The restaurant is always spotless, the staff is VERY friendly and helpful, and the food delicious! My favorites are the panang curry, tom yum soup and green papaya salad. And their mango jasmine tea is pretty tasty too!!!“

“Thai Grata was probably the fastest service I’ve ever had at any sit down restaurant. The food quality was beyond exceptional, and piping hot! Extremely delicious and the portion sizes are plentiful. I ordered the Pad Thai with Chicken and my husband ordered Pad Se Yu. My dish was definitely in the top 3 that I’ve ever had, while my husband said he enjoyed it but wasn’t his favorite. Still tasty and well worth the visit!“

“This restaurant catered the recent fund raiser for the Cupertino Historical society and the food WAS TO DIE FOR! The best food I’ve ever had at such an event. Standouts were the pineapple rice, the vegetable pastries the chicken satay the pad Thai and cooked chicken on a skewer the desserts were great too - little candied strawberries and tiny slices of an amazing cake. We are staff and we were just swooning over the tastes of everything. I want to take my mom to the restaurant now“

“I've been going to Shana Thai for more than a decade , and maybe I haven't done a review yet because I stay close by and take their quality and consistency for granted. But they deserve this shout out. While many restaurants that used to be great have become more tepid as they grew. Shana Thai has generally maintained their quality, freshness, and taste and have remained consistent (with maybe only 1-2 sub par results in the past decade - which is good). And this is probably my greatest praise. I've never had an issue with their service, it's everything I'd expect from a restaurant, but in honesty nothing stands out in this regard either. It's neither bad nor great. It's good.
The atmosphere from the few times I've visited, isn't stand out either. The interior is clean, well presented, and depending on when you visit it's either very loud or has the usual restaurant murmur -- this isn't predictable.
It's a solid choice for Thai food for me, and their fish cakes (and their seafood in general) are a personal favorite. Their other veg and meat dishes are great as well.“

“Very good and flavorful Thai dishes though curries were a little spicier than expected. Large portion sizes. Plenty of vegetarian options. One suggestion is to improve the service a bit. The waitress brought us our bill without asking if we wanted desserts. We ended up sending back the check and ordered desserts.
Vegetarian options: They can make most dishes vegetarian.“

“My daughter and I absolutely love the Restaurant .we visit every week, and it’s become our favorite spot for delicious meals. The moment we walk in, we’re greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere, but it’s the food that keeps us coming back.
Every dish we’ve tried has been outstanding. My daughter’s favorite is the Eggplant Fish dish, and I always look forward to the it. Each bite is full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and made with fresh ingredients. The balance of taste in every dish is just incredible, and the portions are generous . We can’t recommend it· enough if you’re looking for a place with consistently mouthwatering food. It’s our weekly go-to, and we always leave happy and satisfied.“

“If you're craving Cambodian cuisine, make sure to visit Angkor Chef, a fantastic Cambodian restaurant located in downtown San Jose. Owned by Channy Laux - Chef and her husband, they've been serving up delicious dishes for about 6 months now. Tina and I were thoroughly impressed by their excellent service and mouthwatering food. The restaurant boasts a sleek and modern design, and we particularly loved the beef skewers (សាច់គោចាកាក់). We definitely will come back for more. #supportlocalbusiness #khmerfood“

“Food at this restaurant is insane!! I was not wasting any soup left and finished all of the dishes. I’ll recommend you to go with friends or by group in order to try different dishes here. I could only finish the noodles bowl and had to wrap it up the rest to go. Can’t wait to go back.

“I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to eat spicy and savory Asian food. The somtam was unexpectedly spicy, but it was really delicious. It had a medium level of spiciness, but it was spicier than Shin Ramyun and less spicy than Buldak Bokgeum Ramyun, but by the end of the meal, the spiciness was completely gone, so it was good to whet the appetite and end the meal. I would like to visit again“

“I recently dined at bistro siam restaurant, and I must say that the papaya salad was incredibly fresh and tasty. The flavors were vibrant, and it was a great start to the meal. The pad see ew was also bursting with flavor. It really hit the spot. Overall, the food was fantastic, and the service was top-notch. The only downside is that the place is a bit outdated, but the delicious food more than made up for it. Highly recommend!“

“This is some of the best Thai food I have found in the Bay Area. Their curries in particular have quite a smooth flavor - I would recommend the Panang, the Red, or the Massaman. I find it hard to tear myself away from those, but when I do, I have had an enjoyable time with both the Pad Thai and the Pad See Ew. And if one is getting takeout and wants rice to eat later, the Siam Fried Rice is great. Tomato in fried rice is not something I have seen before, but it tastes great in this! Frankly, I'm surprised I rarely have to worry about getting a spot - this place is astonishingly under-utilized for being so amazing. Probably because a lot of folks do not know about them, but they keep my vegetarian partner well fed, and she is a bit of a picky eater besides, so I would like to keep them around and in business! Finally, they are doing an amazing job of staying open and efficient during the Covid-19 crisis, implementing better order/online and cheap delivery options. Thank you so much Thai Erawan for doing a great job, and I hope more people eat there so that you can always be around! (Oh, and the heart-shaped rice-moulds just happened to be very on point the first few times I brought my partner there - so extra points in my book for that!)“

“Food was excellent!! We got cucumber salad, Thom yom soup, Thai cashew shrimp, shrimp cakes. Everything was delicious!! Atmosphere is limited, service intermittent. They do a good take out biz so not as adept at dining in.
Vegetarian options: Most dishes could be ordered as vegetarian, protein additions were optional.“

“I like this restaurant. Food is great. Price is not expensive compared to other restaurants in Bay Area. The only thing I do not like is their tip is calculated based on after-tax amount. I will still come in the future though. I also ordered Tom yum, great portion and taste! Three dishes for two is slightly too much but I was hoping to try different food.“

“Chanced upon this hole in the wall kind of restaurant across from SJSU campus, craving for some good Thai food. We ordered Thai Iced Tea, Fried Chicken over Fried Rice, Vegetarian Egg Rolls and the Lamb Curry Speciality all for $59, including a $2 extra for using Amex credit card.
Lots of piping hot food, well plated and served by a sweet hostess. If not for the inside run down decor, this restaurant is worth every penny. Like they say, don’t judge a book by it’s cover…food here tastes pretty awesome if you come in hungry!“

“Lunch time on a hot day. No a-c. Door open. But not even a ceiling fan. Aside from the temp, the inside was very nice. Beer could have been colder, but was o.k. Lunch specials fairly priced. Came with egg roll, soup, small salad and entree. Egg roll was pretty mushy on the inside. Entree was good and they delivered the spice level I requested, was nice and spicy. Only saw one bit of basil though. Not enough for a dish that has basil in the name. Super great service...a very nice lady. I will be back when it is a cooler day.“
