“We recently visited Bai Tong Thai Restaurant in Saratoga and had a wonderful dining experience. The restaurant has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that makes it a great spot for a relaxed meal with family or friends. The staff were warm, attentive, and ensured we had everything we needed throughout our visit.

We ordered the Panang Curry with Brown Rice, and both were prepared very well. The curry had a rich, creamy texture with a nice balance of sweetness, spice, and authentic Thai flavors. The vegetables were fresh, and the overall dish was satisfying and comforting. The brown rice was perfectly cooked, fluffy, and paired beautifully with the flavorful curry.

While we genuinely enjoyed the meal, we’ve had slightly better Panang Curry at a few Thai restaurants in Cupertino, where the flavors were a bit more bold and complex. That said, Bai Tong still serves a delicious and authentic version that’s well worth trying, especially if you’re in the Saratoga area.

Overall, the combination of good food, friendly service, and a pleasant ambiance made for a very enjoyable experience. If you’re looking for quality Thai food in Saratoga, Bai Tong is definitely worth a visit. “The food and service has always been great. Yes there's a lot of food to try, and yes there's some stuff you might not like. But I recommend trying everything once. So far everything has been good or amazing. And the servers always explain how to eat the food for the best experience. Pick up was super easy--they had set up tables with lots of space in between orders and room for social distancing. And you should have seen the size of the bottle of hand sanitizer available for anyone to use! Let's support our local businesses and keep Blue Mango going!“

“This restaurant catered the recent fund raiser for the Cupertino Historical society and the food WAS TO DIE FOR! The best food I’ve ever had at such an event. Standouts were the pineapple rice, the vegetable pastries the chicken satay the pad Thai and cooked chicken on a skewer the desserts were great too - little candied strawberries and tiny slices of an amazing cake. “Had an amazing dinner at this restaurant. We had the papaya salad (tum luang prabang) and it was very flavorful although a bit spicier than I would expect. We had the khao soi which was flavorful. We also had the hang leh curry which was my absolute favorite, it was so rich and deep with a beautiful flavor profile. Our waitress was very kind and got me a milk-based drink when she saw me struggling with the spice in the papaya salad. Portion sizes were medium, although a bit on the smaller side. Ambience was beautiful although a bit noisy from the pub next door. All in all, great experience and I will be returning.“

“We always get the peanut pad thai all the meat is good, especially the pork and the yellow curry is amazing! I stop in every week at least once or twice for a Thai tea. 🤩 This lovely place is the exception. “We visited this place on a busy Tuesday night, and it was packed. Please factor in a waiting time when you arrive, as they’re understaffed and orders can take a while. To avoid waiting, I recommend ordering everything at once. The order of service is also random, so we received our jasmine tea after our main course.

Now, let’s talk about the food. The Tom kha soup, pratha with panang curry, pad see ew, pad kee mao and pineapple and basil rice were all fantastic and bursting with flavour. The egg rolls, however, were disappointing. The mango sticky rice was also a good choice.

One thing to keep in mind is that bills often have extra charges. If you notice them, let the staff know, and they’ll remove them since it’s their fault. If you miss it, you’ll end up paying the extra charge.

Overall, the service could definitely be improved, but the restaurant’s ambiance is great.“
