Restaurantji unveils Arleta's must-visit Mexican dining spots.
“This review is based on a delivery order. If you are craving freshly made potato tacos, this is the place. The order includes 3 hard shell tacos, fried. They have a generous amount of mash like potato inside. They also provide the chopped cabbage, pickled purple onions. There are 2 salsas, the warm tomato sauce that you pour over the tacos and the spicy salsa to give it the kick!“
“The menudo it's self was really good. I wish they will include hominy but I do get it that they serve it in the authentic form. The only reason I gave it a 4 stars it's because prices are not display- I order menudo to go but I wanted a small plate. They charge me $17 for a container and I was so shocked because I was looking for a small size. It was so awkward! I think sizes and prices should be update it!“
“This place is a must if you like tortas ahogadas! They’ll give extra spicy sauce if you ask for it too.The bread stands up well to the sauce, the meat is well cooked, and the pickled red onions take it over the top!! Love getting one whenever I’m in the area!“
“I'm originally from a border town in Texas and have been looking for a legit Barbacoa spot in Los Angeles for years! I finally found it. The torta was really good, great quality bread. Super soft and a little bit of char. The tacos were outstanding, tortilla was great quality. I loved the green salsa. Highly recommend buying the tacos, tortas or buying by the libra (pound). Uffff esta bien rico.“
“Best pastor and carnitas I've ever had! My husband and I probably get tacos from here almost every week. I'm not sure if they have multiple locations or the location on here isn't updated, but we go to the one in Northridge on Reseda and Nordoff. Usually there's a line but it goes by very fast. We love their carnitas and pastor meat, both are seasoned and cooked perfectly. They do run out of the carnitas sometimes so if you go too late there's a chance it'll be gone. The carnitas are so soft and juicy and literally melts in your mouth. The pastors flavors are very delicious and I love how they slightly crisp the meat on the flattop. I'm not really a fan of the asada here, it's cooked on a charcoal grill rather then the flattop. It has a very smoky flavor which I don't like. I usually just stick to tacos because they're so amazing but I've also tried their mulita, burrito and quesadilla and loved everything!“
“I'm a torta lover (no pun intended) tonight on my way home after doing laundry I decided to stop here for an asada torta. OMG!! let me tell you, not only was the telera really good, but also the asada meat was great not dry at all and although I asked for their guac sauce and they had ran out I asked for the red Salsa and OMG!!! Instantly became one of my favorite salsas very garlicky and spicy. Definitely will be going back and trying their tripas tacos with the red spicy salsa.“
“I’ve been looking for a delicious torta for a long time and I finally found the place! If you like fresh delicious food this is the place. The service is excellent, they answered all my questions and explained their menu. I created my own sandwich with some recommendations from Johnathan who was awesome. This is by far the best torta I’ve ever had! It was so good I was back a couple days later for another! Wifey ordered tacos and they were amazing as well. The flavor and freshness of the meat is what sets them apart. No old meat being served here. Definitely my go to spot for delicious fresh food!“
