Restaurantji's North Hollywood guide: Where to find the ultimate Mexican flavors.
“First time here and I had the B&B Special Burrito. Was ready in 5 minutes. Sadly the burriito did not make it home.. I sat in my car and really enjoyed the burriito. It came with 2 salsas both were fire.. Delish!! Will come back again.“
“Honestly probably the best mariscos I’ve had! I love the aguachile! The mariscos pieces are always plump and big, they really don’t skimp out on it. The owner is so friendly and willing to help you decide what to get based on what you like. The vibe is really chill with music always playing and tables to sit and eat at. Such a fun vibe. But the best thing about this place is probably the spicy red sauce. It goes good on everything! Seriously the star of the place, I crave it randomly all the time. Can’t recommend more!“
“The birria is the best ive had period!!!I have tried many spots but this place beats em all! And its always boooom for me consistency is key and they always surpass my expectations. My monday hangover gets crushed with the consome and that fire hot sauce. Recomend it to everyone.“
“I love how awesome the staff are here it's like speaking to an old friend. Please come in and give them a try! I already tried their sandwiches, which is really wholesome and hearty. Their pizzas are thin crust, but very delicious. I've had the young and the go green!“
“I love their meals with exquisite cakes and golden taquitos, simply delicious!! Recommended ✅? friendly and very fast serviceThe only bad thing is that it is an outdoor place and in cold weather it is a little difficult to eat comfortably ???????I give them ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“
“Excellent Customer service! Very friendly and welcoming staff. They actually care and want to make sure their customers are satisfied. So if you need any accommodations just ask them ! Birria and chicken shredded tacos juicy and full of flavor and they have homemade tortillas which are delicious . 10/10 highly recommend ?❤️“
“Location is in a small crowded center, the sign is very small and very easy to miss it. Neighborhood isn't the greatest, but I saw someone on a food blog say to tey El Tacote for the chillaqillas and that the Carne Asada was good. I ordered the nachos with carne asada. Nachos were good, I will try breakfast next time I come here.“
“Hole in the wall Mexican spot very good the play doesn't look like most modern places looks old and I decided to give it a shot definitely give it a try it's a good spot. Meat was fresh and tasty salsa I and a Co worker had the carnitas burrito and the Carne asada burrito“
“The place looks a little rough but the food hit the spot! I got the avocado bacon cheeseburger and loved it. My friend got the BBQ Bacon Burger, loved it, but would add cheese next time. The staff was super chill and friendly, service was speedy too.“
“Can’t wait for this to Long beach Location to open !!! They had a location in North Hollywood as a Popup and their food is delicious. Serving the most Delicious delicious street corn in so many ways and flavors!!! And so much more.Vegetarian options: PlentyDietary restrictions: You can choose the ingredients you want!Parking: There is six parking spaces in the back of the restaurant, and plenty of street parkingKid-friendliness: Absolutely a Place kids would like to go to. Colorful, fun, and extremely family friendly.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, there is wheelchair accessibility.“
“Solid drinks, super service and good tacos! Not a lot of veggie options, but they do have some. Stopped in for the weekend brunch which includes bottomless mimosas and was disappointed in the buffet style lack of vegano options considering what they have on their weekly menu. I will say that what they do have is very flavorful and it's an enjoyable experience... Just not one I'm racing to get back to after my third trip in. Music get loud as can be by early afternoon so conversations with friends or family get really challenging.Parking is in a shared structure in back with neighboring business and usually no more than $5 if you go over the complimentary (2hr mark).“
“Found this on a search, the food off the truck was off the chain. From tacos with guacamole plus everything else to vampiro the taste was delicious & authentic. As we drove up we witnessed customers eating on their vehicles, so when in Rome do as the Romans. I haven’t eaten on a car since my teenage years, and there I stood at 60 being the old wild one of the bunch. Excellent food, a must try for both residents & travelers!!!“
“i love these tacos!! They have handmade tortillas, they come out fast, and the salsa is good!! my favorites are the cabeza tacos and the hoe fines. I say they are cheap and the horchata water is very good. This is my best friend's favorite place and mine too!!“
“Great Staff, always willing to help and be patient with customers. The food is quality and the service is 10/10. They keep the parking area really clean and they have tables/chairs to sit down. If you are looking for birria de Chivo or Res you have found your new spot ! This is authentic Birrieria food truck that you don’t want to miss.“
“Was open on Christmas Day which was spectacular and a life saver! Our waitress was very nice and even though she spoke limited English I got to practice my Spanish so that was coolWe got this botanic dish that had steak, shrimp and chickenIt was pretty good but not going to lie a bit dry and wish it had some sort of salsa or sauceShe did bring over a hot sauce with it but it was crazy spicy, I love cholula/tapatio and those kinds of sauces and this one was way more spicy than thoseSo my food was sadly a bit blandBut the drinks were cool, I like how she rimmed my beer cup without tajin without having to ask herAnd my bf got this fruit drink that had a bunch of cut up fruit in it and it was super refreshing and yummy!Parking: Small parking lot behind building but also plenty of street and neighborhood parking“
“If you want a quick, cheap, no grills and delicious, street style taco fix on this side of the border in NoHo, Sandy's is your place. Buche, cabeza, tripas, al pastor, you name it, they probably have it. I usually get those three and it sets me back $15 for 7 tacos. They are not that big so depending on your appetite, you might need more. I usually eat that in 2 servings. Oh btw, "cash" only!“
“One of the best taco trucks I have visited. The food so very fresh and flavorful. The tortillas are definitely handmade. They certainly are not stingy with the meat and prices are fair. Ordered the chicken, Carne asada and carnitas tacos as well as a Carne asada mulita. The mulita huge! They have salsas outside as self serve. Will definitely come again.Parking: Truck is parked next to a small lot, so there is parking in the lot, as well as the street.“
“This place is highly delicious and quietly unassuming. It was recommended to me for months by some of my friends, but I dismissed them." Their Taco Tuesday deal is a steal!" They'd say. I'm not a big Taco fan. It wasn't until my roommate came home with their asada fries that I took notice. These weren't just some mushy fries with simple asada pieces smothering them; this was a blend of flavors and textures that enchanted my taste buds! The spicy aioli, cilantro, and feta cheese combo is exquisite! If you order on Uber Eats, there's a fantastic buy one get one free deal that absolutely can't be beaten. Luckily for me, they're right around the corner. It's a cute little spot with a cozy ambiance on the outside and more hustle and bustle inside. It's a step above your standard charburger/Mexican food spot. I've already recommended this place to my brother and boyfriend and they both love it! Give it a try if not for anything but those Asada Fries.“
“I enjoy the steak sandwich. It's like a Latin Hoagie. Flavorful and the bread is lightly toasted so you get a slight crunch in every bite. If you're into hot subs, Philly cheesesteak type of sandwich. This sandwich doesn't disappoint.“
“Its the best place, the Enchiladas I have ordered all 5 times I have been there. I can't stop getting the Enchilda Combination. Make sure you are hungry its alot.I am going to go there right now........ Maybe I will try a new dish.I almost for got, No turkey knuckles or rubberbands in the meat, it doesn't fight back. Thats the reason I stopped wrestling at Dannys. (eating there) LOLor is it Daniels...?“
“Food was SO good!*edit: I went here 5 years ago when I was visiting LA and I am still thinking about how good their food is!**edit two: I came back to LA and the food was just as good as I remembered! I ordered breakfast and I can't wait to come back again.“
“This is my friends dads bar Mr vidal so me and my friend every now and then we go to play pool well he's there more well cause he's the owners son I only got drunk once in that bar so drunk that Mr vidal kicked me out because I wanted to fight with everyone lol besides that night I just go to play pool.“
“A small very clean Mexican restaurant it reminded me of places from my childhood. Nice menu choices and a selection of beers. Food tasted like my Mother and grandmother's, 2 fresh Salsas were moderately hot. Can't wait to take my sister when she comes to town.“
“One of the San Fernando Valley hidden gem of an eatery.Parking: Parking is all the way in the back with reserved stalls.Small and narrow driveway. Don't blink or you'll miss it.Wheelchair accessibility: Place is on second floor. Elevators available.“
“Went here because it's a good friend's favorite Mexican restaurant and I was just going to stop by and get her a gift certificate. I also ordered a vegetable fajita burrito to go. But when I came to pick it up I was charmed by the atmosphere of this place, like exactly what big chain places like el torito wish they could be like. And I was suddenly in realization about how hungry I was. And the maitre d, Pat, was super cool about me eating my to go there and directed me to a table, where I ordered chips and guac from the lovely Anabel, who was a pro server. I was very impressed by the high quality of the food. Salsa was superb, too. It was on the expensive side but usually I don't eat Mexican food in such pleasant and professional surroundings. I'll definitely be back. Thanks Pat, Anabel, and Mucho Mas“
“Was in the area to get my car serviced and had some time and a lot of hunger to kill. Walked to this Taco truck and ordered: - 2 tacos de tripa - 2 tacos de camarón - 2 tacos de pescado They were all perfectly delicious as well as well proportioned. The staff was friendly and attentive asking me about my choice of salsas instead of giving me way too much. The area was clean and uncluttered I felt safe waiting for my food despite not having my car to sit in. Will totally be looking out for them from now on.“
“We contacted them for an event and everyone loved their food! The customer service was exceptional and they are very punctual. Their Al Pastor meat is tasteful, not to oily like other Al Pastor meats. They also make good salsas, the red one is just the perfect flavor of spice and their guacamole sauce is great too. I highly recommend their Horchata. If you have a party that needs catering or you want a good taco spot i would tell you this is the place to go!“
“Our son just moved to NoHo and wanted some Mexican food, and we wanted to go to a local store and not a national store and we found this on Yelp so decided to go as it was in walking distance. It's a small family owned place and we thought why not and we were happy coming here. We ordered three different meals including tacos and burritos. We needed to take a couple things off an order and no problem, easily done! It's not an expensive place, friendly service, you can see them making the food as you wait and they have $0.99 tacos on Thursdays. It was interesting seeing nothing but Spanish TV, but it's part of the ambiance and I know we will go back when with our son.“
“Looking for a good Birria spot? Looking no longer! I have tried most Birria trucks around the valley but this place always take the win! Quesadilla? Queso tacos, tortas, tacos, consome? They have them all! Their meat has flavor. They don’t charge for their consome, comes with your order. Prices? Omg I got a quesadilla, 3 queso tacos, and 2 regular with 2 glass bottles for $23! You can’t beat this spot, give them a try and you won’t regret it!“
“VERY EXCITING NEWS for anyone like me who loves the white queso "cheese dip" found at the midwestern mexican restaurants we grew up at, but could not find anywhere on the West Coast -- SALSA & BEER HAS IT, only it's known here as "Cream Sauce" and you need to order it as a side (it's not on their menu as a side but they will do it for you for $3.) If anyone from Salsa & Beer is reading this: You need to make the cream sauce a standalone item on your menu as a cheese dip for the chips. There is a large population of people like me who will flock there for it. Just call it cheese dip and put it in the appetizers section. You will not regret this.“
