So I chose a food truck nearby and pulled up bc of the amazing reviews. Boy did I make the right decision. Maggie the cashier was so nice and asked me how my morning was, very upbeat service. “One of my favorite Mariscos places. The shrimp coctails are soo packed with shrimp unlike most places that give you 5 or 6 shrimp.. Both the Fish & the shrimp tacos are huge. They give you free chips and Salsa when u dine in and The salsa is so good I always go through 2 bowls! The service is fast and the girls that work there are super nice. Been going here for 20 years. It is CASH ONLY but the 711 next door has an ATM. It's also kind of small so it gets packed quickly depending on the time and day.

Parking: This place is in a small plaza with many small businesses so parking is usually full but there's a lot of in & traffic so if you wait a couple minutes you should find a spot to park.“

So I drove up the street had 2 spot opposite side of the same block. Made the right choice. Thanks to La Vijita in line, she said why do you think I am waiting. Cash only for sure. “I was a little skeptical to eat here since I've never tried there food, well I'm glad I did food is absolutely delicious I got the Birria Combination good amount of food the meat is soft and tender, both my daughter and son got the tacos de azada I expected two little tacos but to my surprise they are huge and with good amount of azada, my hubby got the Birria en Caldo de Chivo good amount of meat the caldo was tasty and not runny or watery also it comes with a good amount of homemade tortillas. The one only thing I would change is the chips and salsa chips need seasonings and the salsa roja needs to be more thick less water.“

“the food was amazing! Overpriced if I may say. Just for two people we spend over $56. The chips were stale, waiter only checked on us once since we had ordered we were there for about 30-40mins, when we asked the waiter for our check he never came back he went to do other things from what we could see ordering food for other people (I think they’re short staffed?) we waited and waited until we decided to get up to the counter their was someone ahead of us then she left and the person behind the counter also left we waited there another 5-10mins. Then someone came back waited again for them to calculate how much it was. I need a box to go & when we came back to our table the guy was trying to throw away the food that was on the table since they were cleaning up & my bf had to run to tell them we’re taking it to go.

Food was amazing, I just don’t like waiting especially since we were in a rush & it wasn’t as busy as it was when we first go there.

I don’t think I recommend it to people just because of the long period wait time. but if you’re not in a rush give it a try food was good & the drinks. Just chips were stale & the salsa for the chips wasn’t good.“

As I got home to open the bag that smell filled up my kitchen. The chicken melted off the bone and the fresh tortillas were nice and warm. I called the resturant, 5 minutes before closing assuming they would just cancel my order. Instead they said we will drop it off ourselves! Not only did they deliver within 15 minutes, the included a couple sodas as an apology. GREAT experience with them will definitely be ordering again!!!“
