“Curry on Pie is honestly a great find — finally a really good pizza spot in Artesia 🍕 This was my second visit, and it definitely did not disappoint. The location is in a perfect, convenient spot, which makes stopping by easy.

The first time I visited, I tried their vegan pizza, and it was really good 🌱 The pesto pizza slices are also very flavorful and well made. You can tell they care about consistency and quality, which really shows in the taste.

Customer service here is great 😊 The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to offer recommendations. They genuinely seem to care about what they’re serving and about the customer experience. The place itself is clean, and there’s street parking available, which is a plus.

Overall, a solid pizza spot with good flavors, good service, and consistency. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area 🍕🙌“

A) To Pak.

A) No, to Pak. I went to Pak Halal in Artesia.

Q) Oh, I see. Was this your first time visiting?
A) Yes, Rodney. A few Muslim gym buddies o' mine kept recommending Pak Halal, so of course I had to give the place a shot.

Q) What did you order?
A) Being my first time, I gave the Special Dishes display a thorough perusing.

Knowing I wanted a beef or mutton entree, after much thought & deliberation, I went all in on Pak Halal's Beef Nihari.

Q) Rodney, how was the Beef Nihari?
A) Spiced tender beef, swimming in flavorful broth. I enjoyed the Beef Nihari. I prefer a solid amount of fat to meat, and the Beef Nihari had just what I was looking for. Ample portions, with enough to fill up on. Speaking of filling up, the ginormous Garlic Naan provided a lot of garlicky carbs, made all the more better when soaking up with the Beef Nihari broth

Q) How was the service, and what are the seating arrangements?
A) Rodney, the service was good. The wait wasn't unreasonable. Being a small deli, there is a table or two inside & outside. Pak Halal is more an order ahead, grab n' go eatery. The railing outside Pak Halal acts as a standing communal table, in which I used to dine on my meal.

Q) Rodney, would you recommend Pak Halal?
A) Absolutely, Rodney! The food was great at Pak Halal, and when I'm in a hurry and not looking for a sit-down restaurant experience, I know I can head over to Pak Halal and order something to go, or enjoy a quick meal on the railing, before life's troubles beckon me, elsewhere“

“We arrived earlier than the food truck and almost missed them, but luckily right as we were looking for dinner alternatives they pulled in! Absolutely delicious, we ordered the 24" chicken shawarma meal with extra pickles. The chicken was super delicious, and the fries really hit the spot. Highly recommend!“

“I always get the combo over rice with white sauce. The meat is always consistent and I enjoy the food very much. The restaurant is clean and the employees are great. Good service overall at the Garden Grove location.

“Decided to stop by here on the way to LA after a delicious ice cream treat. We ordered quesadillas and their tacos. The food was spot on and this is after us having some ice cream. The food is prepared outside on the parking lot in front of the store. I love their green sauce and they’re very generous with their cilantro and onions. The service was amazing as the young lady made great recommendations and she was very nice. The ambience is nice because you have a choice of sitting outside on a nice day or if it’s cold you have the choice to sit inside the marketplace.“

“I've been in search for a place that serves good quality desi street food and snacks and this place did not disappoint! I had their pappri chat, kabob pizza and freezi mint drink and all was so satisfying! Everything was high quality and taste! Highly recommend if you're craving Pakistani cafe type of food and drinks!“

“I was there in California from another state. We ordered jalapeños beef burgers, halwa puri platters, beef seekh kabobs with rice platter, masala fries, mango lassi and sweet lassi. Each and every single food item was fresh and hot, seekh kabobs were so juicy and perfect flavor, cholay were soft and with some light gravy to eat with puri. Aalo were soft yet some small size chunks in plate with light gravy, and halwa that you just don’t want to stop eating. My kids are very picky eaters but they loved each and every single thing we ordered from this restaurant. Beef burger was so yummy that my daughter kept ordering the next time we went there again. We ended up going 3 times in our 1 week trip. We tried their fried chicken the third day, oh my gosh it’s just one of the best fried chicken ever. We were so glad that we were able to find a halal restaurant with all the choices at one place for our kids and adults. Last but not the least, their prices were very reasonable and the staff was very nice and friendly.“

“We first found Big Al's Pizzeria on IG. All of their pizzas caught our eye because of the unique flavors that they serve. We know that often times when you see something on IG and go experience a place in person it may not be as expected. That was NOT the case with Big Al's Pizzeria. WOW!! Can't even tell you how much they exceeded our expectations when it came to the flavors and textures that they deliver. You can tell that they use High Quality, Fresh Ingredients and take pride in their creations, especially with everything being homemade!! I know a lot of people say that it takes a while to receive their pizza but we can tell you IT IS WORTH THE WAIT AND CALORIES!! The combinations on their pizzas are next level and so fun and unique! The pizza dough has the perfect fluffiness, chewy texture and flavor. The wings WOW! Definitely in our top 5 of favorites! So crispy and flavorful! OOh plus the Brisket Sandwich and the bread they use... ufffff!!! Don't forget about Dessert! Even if you fill up on pizza you better at least take a slice home with you because IT IS WORTH IT!! They are large, creamy, flavorful and just AMAZEBALLS! We got the Tiramisu and it was NEXT LEVEL! Everything is OUT OF THIS WORLD and we can't recommend them enough!“

They were backed up as when I first got there they were a little short staffed as The Friday Dinner rush was starting, but they kept their cool, their extra hand showed up, and they did well. “We were hoping this restaurant was going to be as good as their Fullerton location. Unfortunately, they have a ways to go. Admittedly, it is a high bar to cross. We started with Pani Puri. It was ok but not as good as I've had in Little India (Artesia). We also had Saag Paneer, which turned out to the best dish of the night, and Peshawari Chicken Karahi. The chicken dish was promised to be a bit spicy but turned out to be fairly mild unless one would eat the sliced jalapenos on top. The sauce was a bit sour and lacked depth. We asked for some spicy chutney which helped a bit. The nan, raita, and rice were perfect. My hope is that they send their Fullerton chefs in to give the chefs here a refresher course. Either that or we'll have to drive farther to Fullerton. Definitely will try again and order some different dishes. Our server was very friendly and helpful.“

The guy manning the business in the mourning was personable and had great customer service skills. The burger had a lot of flavor great ratios of meat, cheese, onions, and bread wasn’t too bready. The fries are solid lightly seasoned. I personally like a little more but you can always add more but can’t take it off so I get it. I’m going to come back and try the chicken, can’t wait. Props to the owner . wish much success for all entrepreneurs who take pride in their craft. 💪✌️“

“Very Excellent! It's comparable to Raising Caine's , even the sauce. It's a little cheaper in price, and without the wait. They use REAL chicken not fake processed/pressed chicken. As an added bonus, they accept EBT Food. The only downside is it's hard to locate. It's a sub-let inside the Minimart on the corner. There's no outside signage.“
