“My husband selected Fat Cats for lunch on vacation because he used to be a regular 30+ years ago. I can't rave enough about our experience! We actually got there between the lunch and dinner rushes and were met by extremely friendly crew! The diner was pleasantly decorated and the seating was comfortable. However nothing prepared me for my meal. I ordered the ahi burger. It was perfectly seasoned, cooked, and accompanied. Definitely will stop by every visit to this part of Cali!!!“

They are dog friendly and even have a menu just for dogs. Our Maltipoos shared the “Marley and Meat” and loved their meals. We all agreed that Rick’s was our favorite meal of this vacation, and we will be back next time in Avila Beach.“

“Really liked my two visits to Ziggy's! The staff was friendly and the food was hitting all the right strides for a comfort vegan meal. Between my two visits I was able to try the nashville chicken sandwich, the crunch wrap supreme, their version of animal style fries, a milkshake, the horchata, onion rings, a cauliflower bowl, and some taquitos. All of the food was really good and had no complaints about it. It's great that Ziggy's commits to being a fully vegan restaurant and being one of two only vegan restaurants in SLO. Will definitely be coming here next time I am in the area.“

“Yes, you will need a reservation, but they were kind enough to reserve a special table for us to honor our 10th anniversary! We were greeted with smiles and staff was quick to offer either still or sparkling water [nice]. Our water pourer, Maddie, was ahead of our thirst all evening and our glasses never were empty [we went through three bottles!]. Our server, Haley, was attentive and professional. She very capably poured the Justin Isosceles and went over the menu to answer any questions. My tuna tataki was exceptional...it may be an appetizer, but it was incredibly tasty and filling. The lady thoroughly enjoyed her local sablefish [first time] and its yummy accompaniments. The wine list is strong and reasonably priced. Beautiful views of Pismo Beach enhance the dining experience. The restaurant is on point, clean top notch restrooms and obvious elegance. We couldn't believe there wasn't any dress code...folks showed up looking like they just walked off the beach without a wink. Ahh...the beach life in Pismo is quite relaxing.“

“We were immediately greeted and seated (we made reservations online in advance)... our waitress greeted us within a short period of time and took our cocktail order... I'm happy they offer my favorite wine, Austin Hope Cabernet by the glass... I've only known Ember to offer it!... My son ordered a Ni Rada? Martini that tasted how I imagine a household cleaner to taste, he reluctantly sucked it down... we didn't bother to complain but we wouldn't recommend it... he later ordered a Paper Plane Martini which he liked better... After reading other reviews, I see we didn't get the initial bread w/Ricotta offering, probably for the best since we've cut down on gluten and wanted to try a pasta dish... We started with a (not pictured) POLPETTE (large meatball) and it was moist, flavorful, & yummy... alongside PAPPARDELLE RAGU, I was hesitant about it due to not being a fan of lamb... however, it was cooked perfectly without any hint of the game flavor I dislike... my only complaint is there isn't a gluten-free pasta substitute option... It may not be Michelin standard... but it would be great to have some gluten-free Ancient Harvest pasta with any of those yummy ragu/pasta sauces available for the many people with gluten sensitivities... MARY'S 1/2 CHICKEN was flavorful and yummy with the silky mashed potatoes... and the melt-in-your-mouth OSSO BUCCO and tasty polenta did not disappoint!... The atmosphere is cozy with home-style elegance... From the initial welcoming greeting, the friendly & timely food service, the "in-tune" staff that directs you to the restroom without having to ask, the constant spotting of Nate's friendly smile as he ensures his operations are running smooth and the thanks for your patronage as you leave... our experience was pleasantly memorable... This was my 2nd visit to Nate's... the first time I had the pork chop which was flavorful, tender and simply superb... We will return!“

“We were here for dinner on a recommendation from some local folks. Wow it exceeded our expectations. We were told to try the chicken and waffles, they did not disappoint, savory fried chicken on top of sour dough waffles with house made kimchi, yummmmm! We both got a cup of soup purple sweet potato puree, as pretty as it was delicious, and fresh sea food bouillabaisse equally delicious. Our only regret is that we were too full to try one of the wonderful desserts. We will definitely be back the next time we're in town.😋😋😋😋“

“We placed a large order of food for about 30 people ahead of time for an event and the Green Olive crew NAILED IT. The timing, the accuracy, and of course, the taste! Very thankful for Zach and the rest of the Green Olive crew for making our event special and tasty! We had a lot of variety but our favorite dishes were the Filet Mignon Kebabs, Chicken Kebabs, and Gyro wraps. Delicious!“

“Frustrating from a service standpoint but the food and cocktails were outstanding. We ended up being seated over an hour after our reservation time. This was a bummer since we were celebrating our anniversary. The bartender(s) were all great and kept checking on us and even went to check with the hostess about our table. Once we finally had a table and were on the way over, another hostess had given it away and we had to wait another several minutes for another table to be set. The one hostess apologized but took no action to make it right. It was a frustrating and disappointing experience on our anniversary. Only saving grace was food was excellent. Not sure when or if we'll be back.“

Pair that with hand stretched dough and homemade sauce and you have the best pizza on the Central Coast. I’ve also been really impressed with their wine selection. “I can't say enough good things about Cafe Roma! I had the t-bone steak special and it was by far one of the best steaks I have ever had. My wife had the Carbonara and it was very delicious. “We had the most tasty Peruvian food in downtown San Luis Obispo at Coya in their new location at 851 Higuera St, San Luis Obispo, CA 93401. The chicken saltado one of the best I have ever had. The beef empanada large. The passion fruit drink, Maracuya, refreshing. All house made authentic Peruvian food. I hope you will visit Coya and enjoy the food as much as we did. The ambience beautifully decorated with traditional Peruvian products, clothing, hats, purses, dolls, cookies, coffee and lamas. Large dinning room and outdoor seating nice. “Finally tried La Parrilla Taqueria after many many people recommended it. I can say it is worth the hype! The service is really incredible and friendly, the cashier asked follow up questions to clarify our order and it helped avoid any miscommunication. The food was delicious and as close to authentic as you can get in AG. I had the Torta Jersey which was a great balance between the three proteins is comes with (carnitas, ham, and pastor) while still having the yummy taste of the other toppings like the jalapeños and sour cream. We also tried their barbacoa fries which were very tasty and a wonderful portion and their barbacoa quesadilla. It came with its consomé and it honestly packed a lot of flavor in every bite! They have salsa and chips on the side and although the salsas are not spicy they are very flavorful. I highly recommend!“
