“Great place to stop by with very kind owners. We went here yesterday and ate their home made tortilla’s, burrito with chile verde and fish taco’s. All were very, very good. Definitely enjoyed the place as we spoke to the very nice owner for a while, hearing about this mother who originally started the takeout restaurant.“

“Stumbled upon this deli from a Google search. The spicy snowy plover sandwich was absolutely fantastic! My friend and I shared, but I wish now I had a whole one! The pasta salad was just right and so fresh and delicious. The brownie ganache was GOOD! Service was great, everyone so nice. We ate on the patio which was nice.

“The staff at Ada's was very friendly and accommodating. They were able to make adjustments to dishes if requested. Ada's clam chowder was different from other places I have ordered clam chowder (comparing with Ivars and Moe's); added fresh chives, gave the broth more flavor than usual. The potatoes in the chowder were the right consistency. Creamy soup without seeming like gravy nor thin. The portion was about 1.75 cups. Ample side sourdough bread. The crust was soft and not dried out. The staff was accommodating, providing peppermint tea and plenty of hot water in a teapot, which I found charming. Parking is an issue, but welcome to costal CA. Everyone has consisdered the limits of possible parking and made diagrams in compensation. The indoor dining room tables are fairly close proximity, so be prepared to possibly know the topic of your neighbor's conversation.“

“Yes, you will need a reservation, but they were kind enough to reserve a special table for us to honor our 10th anniversary! We were greeted with smiles and staff was quick to offer either still or sparkling water [nice]. Our water pourer, Maddie, was ahead of our thirst all evening and our glasses never were empty [we went through three bottles!]. Our server, Haley, was attentive and professional. She very capably poured the Justin Isosceles and went over the menu to answer any questions. My tuna tataki was exceptional...it may be an appetizer, but it was incredibly tasty and filling. The lady thoroughly enjoyed her local sablefish [first time] and its yummy accompaniments. The wine list is strong and reasonably priced. Beautiful views of Pismo Beach enhance the dining experience. The restaurant is on point, clean top notch restrooms and obvious elegance. We couldn't believe there wasn't any dress code...folks showed up looking like they just walked off the beach without a wink. Ahh...the beach life in Pismo is quite relaxing.“

“When traveling along the coast, I always make it a point to stop at ManRock Brewing Co. Beers are incredible (loved the “Get Him a Hoppy Bag” triple hazy IPA), food is great and comes out fast (try the bacon covered hot dog) and service is always friendly. Was surprised and happy to find they were open July 4th too! Was also able to get some cans of my favorites to bring home.“

“Had a lovely visit at Chamisal Vineyards during the last week of SEP. Reservation for two and quickly seated within the outdoor shade sail covered dog friendly patio. The view from our seat was a wall of old wine barrels and the vineyards to the west. The wall lessened the wind to a mellow breeze. Chamisal is along the flight path to SLO airport and the occasional plane flew overhead. Perhaps more so today due to the Salinas Air Show occurring. Ella was our host. She was cheerful, well versed and hospitable. Our signature flight was delicious and covered the vintners spectrum from sparkling to Pinot noir. We also had the Graze Charcuterie board which a well balanced plate of meats, cheeses, fruits, spreads and more; enough for a party of four. Seating areas ranged from tables-n-sofas, benches near the barrels and sit down tables with padded metal seating. Well behaved dogs were present and water bowls were available. Chamisal was a great venue to enjoy great tasting wine, food accompaniments and meaningful conversations. Parking lot is dirt/gravel adjacent to tasting. The restrooms were clean and orderly.“

“Talley Vineyards is one of the best wineries in the USA. The beautiful tasting areas and views are spectacular. The wines speak for themselves and if you are nice and knowledgeable or just want to learn more, you will get lucky and get to taste some mature estate wines. All the wines are well made by Eric their longtime wine maker. He continues his continuous improvement methods and has made their wines some of the best aging wines made in California. The staff are welcoming and very knowledgeable. I cannot think of a winery I would rather visit. Be sure to check out their special tour and tasting events for very special experiences. As a certified sommelier and wine educator I have visited many wineries in France, Spain. Portugal, New Zealand and on the west coast of America and Canada and they are tops in my book.“

“This was the most authentic Soul Food I've ever tasted. Better than the big name famous places we've been to. It's a modest business that I found due to my cravings for some greens and cornbread. We also had the chicken Mole, which was very good, I was wishing for a little sour cream, but that isn't the style there. Chips and salsa were complimentary, and excellent. “Had dinner this evening and it was fabulous! Wonderful service we were a party of 7 and the place was packed and we were treated as if we were the only table in the joint. “Sept 2026 - This time when we got our pizza we chose to pick it up, we also ordered a garden salad, still fresh, the tomatoes and mushrooms were not. However, this time our pizza crust was burned and it was hard and chewy, we were disappointed. We still love the pizza and salad but we're disappointed with the quality this time.

The pizza is always hot, always fresh. We also got the garden salad very fresh. For a medium combination pizza it was $30. The garden salad was around $11. A little pricey. Great atmosphere! Great service and staff and the restaurant was clean. Highly recommend if your in the area.“

“I am a huge fan of Kokku! I crave their California rolls, best in the county. I like the texture, they make everything fresh and it shows. It comes with a super tasty slaw and the portion is great. It is located right near California Fresh in Pismo, just off the 4th St. exit of the 101. It is very clean, quiet and relaxed inside, with a couple of tables outside. The staff is fast and friendly. I am happy to support this fine local business.“

It’s one of those hidden gems you’d only find if you take the back roads, and it’s definitely worth the trip. The venue is gorgeous, and their wine is top-notch. Great selection of different wines and a couple blends. Owner and his daughter are extremely knowledgeable and a fabulous conversation to be had.
I have been here three or four times now and learned something new every time.

Enjoy the bridges and the wandering roosters in the parking area.“
