“Just moved in the neighborhood and love that I have this sweet donut shop for these early foggy morning! Love the ham, cheese, jalapeño croissant and the donuts were light, fluffy but the maple bars are definitely hubs favorite! Every neighborhood needs a good donut shop - this one is it!!“
“Went there and the conchas were really soft and still warm which was a good sign. Although not all the pastries that i seen online were there. Which were not ready but you can actually see them making the new Bach of pastries while inside which was cool. And it's not pricey like other places.“

“An awesome bakery offering not only fresh baked goods but specialty items such as cakes like their delicious champagne cake , pies and specialty breads like jalapeno bread. Should be noted that orders over $50 requires a deposit. A great place for fresh baked items and specialty items for the important events in your life. sugar free items such as cakes and pies are available when preordered by phone. A great option for the diabetic or sugar challenged person in your family or friends circle.“

“You can definitely tell the place has been there for some time. We had the ham and cheese croissant and they were so delicious. The croissant was crunchy but soft the meat and cheese ratio was amazing. Best in Bakersfield. Sorry no pictures, it was that good.“

“After doing extra cardio lately..hiking, a boot camp this morning, and my regular training it was only right that my girl and I treated ourselves to something sweet after dinner
I’m a nighttime donut person, not a morning one, so most shops are usually low on inventory by then. I called around to a few places..some were honest, some… not so much. I even stopped by one before this spot, looked through the window, and they straight-up lied about what they had left. I didn’t even walk in
I called this place and asked about their inventory. She told me they had over half left. No chocolate (not an issue for me), and when I asked about fritters, she said they had a good amount. Sold.
I pulled up and ordered not one, not two, but TWELVE donuts. She even threw in two extra, which honestly felt like a reward after all the extra steps we’ve been getting in
My fiancée and I ended up eating there since the shop had this super cute, old-school vibe. The workers probably thought we were crazy, but I made sure to compliment them because that was hands down the best fritter I’ve had in Bakersfield
You’ll definitely see me back maybe even with a few of my gym bros. All I ask is that those fritters stay in stock… because they were PACKING
Donuts were had around 7:30 PM 🍩“

“We did not get a cinnabon. We got the Carvel Sunday. The prices are high but we come here just for the Carvel ice cream. For soft serve, it's pretty awesome. The girl was so nice and put the Sunday together just like my daughter asked for it. The chicken on a stick at the checkout looks so freaking good. I did not get it though because ...My concern was how long had all that food been sitting out there. There were mountains of chicken. Do they really sell it all in the required amount of time? I didn't see how that was possible. It sure looked crispy and delicious though. We were on a road trip and I didn't want to get sick by eating old chicken. This is a newer gas station and there is so much great junk food to eat here. So if you're on a road trip, you definitely should pop by nice atmosphere and nice people. Hopefully they'll respond here about whether all that chicken was just for display or if it really does sell out in the hour.“
“(Translated by Google) I was looking for authentic bread from Mexico and I found it. It is that place that invites you to enter even if you are not hungry, the aroma of freshly baked bread and the smell of coffee is irresistible. A local business, operated by the same owners, if you're not in a hurry, will engage you in conversation. If you are in the neighborhood, visit the Conchitas bakery ??(Original)Buscaba pan auténtico de México y lo encontré. Es ese lugar que invita a entrar aunque no traigas hambre, el aroma a pan recién horneado y el olor a café es irresistible. “This is my favorite coffee shop. They also sell at the weekend farmer's markets at Centennial high school and Haggin Oaks/Ming Ave. The staff are very friendly and the coffee is the best. Different flavors and holiday inspired recipes. Sometimes, in store, they sell homemade pastries!“

“Every time I venture into the mall, Auntie Anne's Pretzels is a stop I can't resist. Their pretzels are consistently fresh, light, and delicious with just the right amount of salt. In my opinion, they really do make the best pretzels around! I've tried other places, but none compare to the quality these guys provide.
What stands out, aside from the pretzels, is the service. I’ve never had a negative experience at this location – the staff is friendly and efficient, making it a pleasant part of my shopping experience. If you’re ever in the mall and craving a tasty snack, I definitely recommend giving Auntie Anne's a try!“

“Jeff's Biscotti E Ricotta are great BUT his Cuccidati are amazing. The fig filling has a hint of orange and vanilla that made my taste buds jump for joy. Don't get mad if you turn into a fig junkie. Thank you Jeff for these amazing cookies and the great customer service. I look forward to trying more of your products. Lori“

“I just have to give the hugest shout out to the girls who work at the Carvel/Cinnabon part of the store. I must say how unbelievably UNFAIR it is that they don't get tipped. It's so sad that they're not appreciated for the excellent customer service. I mean really? These girls work hard and with a smile. They deserve a little extra for their hard work and dedication. Concerned but hopeful. Good Luck girls“

“Smith’s Bakery is a gem of a place in Bakersfield, truly amazing. Everything I’ve had from there for the 25 years I’ve been going there has been nothing but the best. But my God, are they overpriced. They raised their prices dramatically during the pandemic, which I understand to a point. But now they appear to be arbitrarily raising prices just because. And it happens in such a short amount of time that it’s kind of pitiful. For example, they raised the price of a box of their thumbprint cookies by $2 in ONE month. What justifies THAT much of a cost increase in such a short period of time?“
“I love this place. I come here when I have a sweet tooth. I get a regular Cinnabon, it’s about $7 after tax. They used to be about $5 a few years ago. But a $1.50 increase in price over the last 4-5 years is a pretty modest price increase, especially at the Valley Plaza.“

“Angelica's Bakery is a Bakersfield Original Legend!
They always welcome all kinds of customers with a smile and respect. The baked goods are always tasty, fresh and affordable!
My partner and I LOOOVVEEEE the Crema con Jalapeno Pan and it serves perfectly as a hot chip and pan dulce mashup!
The gentleman at the front is always so kind and understanding, and he definitely cares about the community and getting to know them.
The Bakery is always clean and smells fresh every time we walk in.
It's such a blessing and vibe to be able to walk into an original styled bakery shop, and I highly recommend it for your life experiences. It will mean more to you one day!
Thank you Angelica's!“
“I love this place! My bf and I visit at least 3 times per week. The bread is always fresh and the taste is amazing. I usually find that the bread from other places is a little dry and it never lives up to the beautiful colors and designs...not here, though. Here, it's delicious every. Single. Time!“

“Prices went up since I last remember for my Bakersfield visits. This location does not get much product for sell and difficult when you have limits available. Thump cookies were 3+ days old which is a bit odd to continue to sell so I did not buy the kids the small cookies. Wish they had more availability.“
“Los Quetzales Bakery is a local gem I’ve loved sharing with both family and the office. Walking in early morning, you’re greeted with the warm aroma of fresh-baked goods that instantly makes you smile. The family who runs it pours their heart into every batch, and the kindness at the counter always makes the stop even sweeter.
If you want an authentic taste of Central American and Mexican pastries — from soft conchas to flaky delights — this is where you go. Always fresh, always flavorful, always worth it. 🥖☕✨“

“Crumbl never disappoints! The cookies are huge, soft, and always come out warm and fresh. I love that the menu changes every week, so there’s always something new to try—classic flavors like chocolate chip are comforting, but the rotating specialty ones make every visit exciting. The presentation is top-notch too; the pink box and perfect cookie designs make them feel extra special.“
