“This has always been a great place but they feel understaffed. 20-30 minutes to receive first drinks and then be able to order appetizers. The servers are friendly and doing there best but I feel like they need to lower volume until they have staff to accomdate the amount of people“

“We were craving authentic Chinese food last night and came across Ching Yen. You can tell the owner, Sue, takes great pride in her food, and it really shows. We started with the Sizzle Rice soup and Hot and Sour soup. Both soups were rich and delicious with fresh ingredients. We ordered the small bowls and each was big enough for two people to share one and have extra. We decided to try the Combination Appetizer platter which came with two of each appetizer and two dipping sauces. The Sizzling Beef Iron plate and Chicken Fried Rice had quality fresh ingredients. You could tell the pride that went into each dish. Sue was a delight and expressed how much she enjoyed her customers. She made it feel like you’re visiting family for a home cooked meal. I’m a soup fanatic too, so I can’t wait to try some of the other soups on the menu. We’ll be back soon!“

“I ordered bbq pork lo mein and egg rolls. Lo mein plate is huge, very good value. Pork has a good char flavor but not very strong. Egg rolls had a perfect airy crunch and soft inside, sweet and sour sauce on side paired nicely. Service was nice and fast, no issues. Overall great place, highly recommended“

“I love Chinese food, and I’m so glad I found Great Castle Restaurant! The dishes taste amazing and remind me of home. We especially enjoyed the shrimp fried rice and sweet and sour fish fillet -both were flavorful and perfectly cooked. The staff were also very friendly and made the place feel warm and homey. Definitely one of my favorite spots here in Bakersfield.“

“This place is the best Chinese food I’ve ever tried! It is always super clean and smells like bleach or Pinesol which to me smells fresh and CLEAN😩 All the workers have great costumer service and are very patient😁 The worker with the tattoos on her face and the other worker with tattoos not her face only her arms have the best costumer service and keep the restaurant clean⭐️ The best part about it is they have ANOTHER restaurant on the east side where The East Hills is located like you are going to Target but turn left and that is the same place so it is clean and good customer service🤩 The food are always looking fresh and they have boba (milk tea and tai tea) I also recommend trying this place because one plate can feed a family of 3😋 They always pack your food with so much food that the plate looks like a mountain🥴“

“I really enjoyed my experience here! The tasted high quality and the portions were HUGE. The price was reasonable and it was clear the staff was working extremely hard to get through a dinner rush. I had the orange chicken which was excellent, I enjoyed it more than panda's orange chicken. The teriyaki chicken was also very good. The egg rolls were fresh and flavorful. I did half chow mein and rice, and they were both excellent. I would recommend this restaurant for someone looking for a fast casual chinese take out spot in town. I will be coming back here. Great food, great vibe, all for a great price!“

“I have been to almost every Chinese Restaurant in Bakersfield. Feng Lin is hands down the best Chinese Restaurant in Bakersfield so far. The food is fresh and delicious. I never really reviewed restaurants but the food was so good here, I had to give it 5*s.“

“If you ever saw Christmas Story it’s like that restaurant..old school Chinese food minus the duck chop . Nothing special on decor, nostalgic of the 80s but comfy and the lady knows us when we come in. She is sweet and the foods is good old school Chinese. My favorites are the pork chow mein, fried rice —-delicious and cashew chicken. They have been here 40yrs and serving me for 16yrs. I would love to keep them open. Stop by sometime and try it out“

“Absolutely amazing Fried chicken and fantastic prices. Made me feel right at home as someone from the south. Chicken and fries also reheat wonderfully in the air fryer (320 degrees 8-10 minutes for anyone curious) and didn't dry out *at all* in the fridge overnight! Definitely gonna be making this place a regular visit from now on!“

“Hands-down the best price for not only the quantity, quality & quickness of their food and service but their hospitality is amazingly awesome. To think we drove out to Bakersfield to celebrate my son's 21st birthday and every restaurant we went to said they had no tables available. So, we looked online and called uptrend Rice Bowl who to our surprise did have an available table. All I can say is, Thank God they did, because if it weren't for that we would've never discovered this great place!!! Would HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this place to ANYONE & EVERYONE!!!“

“I come here all the time. This is my favorite place in Bakersfield. I live in Taft and I drive an hour just to eat here. The food is AMAZING, always fresh, the staff is nice and the portions are enormous.“

“I just moved in, looks very organized and management is on it, I am happy with it so far. I was going to put four ? s because of no kitchen in the unit but I used the community kitchen and it's not that bad. I have a roof, bed,fridge, ac, safer than the streets. Yes there are people trying to get to take over units but their pics are in the community room and from what I see we are taking care of each other. The location is far out there but there's public transportation and everyone can use their insurance for medical rides. Oh and the case manager here is really good too, they're helping me take care of other things in my life as well. And Maintenance is on top of things too here, I put a request in to fix my smoke detector that beeped ad she came within hours! They don't have way out rules , easy to follow. Clean ...beautiful scenery. Good job green gardens. They're are lots of people with dogs here and it's pretty pet friendly I'm proud to say I never have stepped in dog doodoo, never even seen it, people here are doing a great job cleaning up. Five stars for sure. Idk no one has posted pics before of this place so here are mine of my place“
