The staff here helped my elderly parents have an above and beyond experience 01-6-2024 for the movie The Color Purple. My father is limited mobility and it’s hard for my mother to get him to and from the car by herself. The staff just stepped in and took over completely😭😭😭😭 they got him in the theater, seated comfortably, saw to my parents every need and assisted him back into their vehicle home. Angels. Studio Movie Grill in Bakersfield provides a mixed experience for guests. Some find it a step above generic theaters, with comfortable seating and the convenience of ordering food from their seats. However, others believe the quality has declined since the pandemic. The food can be hit or miss, with some enjoying the crispy fries and bacon cheeseburger, while others find the pretzel bites disappointing. The drinks are sometimes watered down, and the seating may be uncomfortable if not cleaned properly. Despite these issues, the theater offers a relaxing environment with attentive and courteous staff. On Tuesdays, tickets are only $6, making it an affordable option. Some customers appreciate the quiet, solo movie experiences and the opportunity to enjoy food like chicken tenders, pizza, or buffalo chicken wrap while watching films. Overall, while it may not be the top choice for everyone, Studio Movie Grill still offers a convenient and enjoyable movie outing for locals.
