“This restaurant is a local gem! My friend ordered the food for us to share. The first dish she surprised me with was the Foo Young, and I wanted to take all the foo young home for my family to try! It was so yummy!
Their Vietnamese crepes are also made perfectly! We enjoyed the clay pot with all the mushrooms and veggies too.

“OMG 😳 The Ceviche (not counting my wife’s handmade ceviche) is the best I have ever tasted, and I’ve tasted a lot of ceviche. It’s soooo good. I had the Mango 🥭 Avocado 🥑 Shrimp 🍤 Ceviche it was like an explosion of flavors in my mouth, I couldn’t stop eating it. Great tacos 🌮 everything was beyond my expectations. “I recently discovered Bites of India in Pittsburg, California, and it turned out to be a delightful find! Originally, I had planned to pick up food from another restaurant across the street. However, the sign for Indian food caught my eye, and given that we haven't had a good Indian restaurant in East Contra Costa County for quite some time, I decided to alter my plans and give it a try.

The food at Bites of India was nothing short of delicious and brought back fond memories of my travels through northern India a few years ago. Every dish we tried was flavorful and well-prepared. I must highlight the Gobi Manchurian appetizer, which was extremely delicious and stood out as a memorable dish.

Our server, Monica, was friendly and helpful, adding to the overall positive dining experience. While the ambience of the restaurant is not particularly impressive—it is, after all, a small strip mall eatery—the quality of the food and the excellent service more than make up for it.

If you're in the area and craving some authentic and tasty Indian cuisine, I highly recommend stopping by Bites of India. You won't be disappointed!“

“Lanzhou is an ancient, desert city on the old Silk Road so its culinary heritage is as wide as it is deep. While I’ve not been there I would like to think the food here is pretty authentic Gansu province cuisine. It’s always a good sign when a restaurant is popular, but it’s a better sign when an Asian restaurant is full of Asian patrons. Everything we had here was good. The chili crunch oil condiment (which is mild and has smoky, earthy flavor) made everything even better. Guaranteed I’m going back.“

The Dan Dan & Yibin noodles both had good flavor, I'd only dock them for how thin the noodles were. I def like a thicker noodle. Portions are on the small size but prices reflect that and I enjoy getting to order more items and try more things without investing $20 on one plate. So that was nice as well.“

“Chopan is my go-to restaurant for dinner takeout when I’m hosting family or friends and don’t have the time to cook. A referral from a friend, I couldn’t believe how authentic and delicious the kababs tasted — their chaplee kabab comes close to my aunt’s legendary cooking, and that’s saying something.

This particular location is an unassuming little space nestled in a busy plaza, lots of families weaving in and out. I am so glad for them to have enough business to expand to San Ramon, more of the Bay Area deserves to taste their goodness!

This is my usual order:
- Banjan Borani (comes with pita)
- Chicken shammi kabab (platter with rice)
- Sides of beef chaplee kabab
- Aushak
- Occasionally, I’ll add the Bolani Kachaloo
