“Waited about an hour, totally worth it!
We had har gow, shu mai, beef rice roll, baked bbq pork bun, fried chicken dumpling. Our favorite was the beef rice roll and baked bbq pork bun! The bun is so buttery and the bread by itself is so yummy.“

“This gyoza bar has three styles of gyozas with a variety of fillings. I got the traditional gyoza teishoku (set meal) with yaki (pan fried) pork gyoza. The set came with rice, cabbage, spaghetti, miso soup, veggies, and pickled radish. The gyoza were flavorful and paired nicely with their house chili oil.
I also noticed they have a good happy hour deal and serve desserts now!“

“What an awesome little restaurant that popped up here. Was looking to try something new and found this amazing little bao spot. The most amazing thing is how they fry these bao. The bottom is hard and crunchy and the top is soft, making a soup filled bao in either seafood, curry or the standard pork. They sell them in quantities of 6 and 2 to 3 is enough to fill me! Highly recommend a quick lunch or dinner here, you won’t be disappointed in the authentic flavors.“

“Came by for the first time on 04/22/24 during the morning hours while vacationing on CA. I ordered online to pick up my order, the place is small but very clean inside, the prices are a bit high compared to what I am used to, food tasted good and they had a lot of items in their menu. The service was pretty quick and they got my order right. I will definitely be returning back if I am again in the area.“

“Best dim sum I’ve had since living in the Bay! Everything made me go yummmm! Soft pillows of goodness they call Coconut buns were divine! Soup dumplings, pork buns, lotus balls, egg yolk buns, all fresh, tasty, not greasy, just ahmazing!Only 3 stars atmosphere because it is simple, take away focused. Which is fine. Clean and light. I think there is seating that was blocked off behind screen - maybe because there is construction in parking lot.
Kid-friendliness: Owner offered my kiddo a free OJ while we waited (5 min) for our order. Plenty of options for non-adventurous eaters.“

“My family and I were looking to pickup Dim Sum in San Gabriel on the way home to eat on the go. After a quick google search Dim Sum Box was the perfect stop. It was clean, the food looked fresh from a limited menu, but the taste was awesome! Both steamed and baked BBQ pork buns were great, the Shumai had very good ingredients, spare ribs were delicious, and they have congi!
For desserts we finished with the baked custard, sesame balls and the steamed custard buns is a must! Friendly service and reasonably priced food was a win-win. We're planning on a second visit next time we're in the area.
The parking situation is the only challenge so brace yourself for that.“

“We came here for the all you can eat dim sum on a weekday. It was not very crowded so we had excellent service. I am not sure it was worth around 26 dollars because the menu is limited compared to other dim sum places. The food we got was good but not superb. It's disappointing that there are no pictures of menu items. For example the "snow capped" pork buns turned out to be green colored buns, not as spectacular as the description. I would go here again only if you're a big eater and are Ok with the limited selection. Update I just saw the previous review with a much bigger menu. Either that was only on the weekend or it was not AYCE, our menu was only one page.“

“Parking is horrible. You have to quickly turn in the parking lot off Garfield, but you have to go slow, or you will miss it the entrance. Order window is right on Garfield Blvd. On really busy days, they run out of food fast. Everything I have ordered has been delish. Just don't l like that they close by 5:30pm and you have to have cash. Food, price, and amount are 👍👍😁
Wheelchair accessibility: yes“

“My go to place for Dim Sum on my commute home from SGV to Orange County. They got your fan favs and the prices are somewhat reasonable - compared to some LA Chinatown spots, $5 per dish seems a bit high. Their food taste great so I really can't complain. Place looks clean inside but it can be hot and stifling during the summer. No dine in, strictly togo.“

“This is a decent place for close to authentic Chinese (mostly Cantonese) food and dim sum items served all day. The actual restaurant is nondescript but we got excellent, very attentive service. Almost everything we ordered I would get again - veg and egg fried rice, scallion pancakes, Chinese broccoli, beef and udon noodles. The only disappointment was the juicy pork dumplings were not the juiciest we've had. Portions were enormous, each dish could feed at least two.“

“Glad to discover another nice Taiwanese restaurant around LA. Very hospital staff. The beef noodle soup is certainly their specialty - unique thick al dente noodles, very tender tendons (chunks of beef not so much), interesting broth with herbal accents. Impressed by their shrimp & pork dumplings - the pork portion was probably fulfilled by the filing of XLB on the menu, which made the dumplings very pleasantly juicy; just wished the wrapper were thinner. In all, don’t expect anything extraordinary, but great value and certainly above peers.“

“The dim sum a la carte were large portions.
Easy to order. You go to your table and there is a sheet with picture of the food item and you mark your quantity. Food was fast. I like this serving concept better - you don’t have to flag dim sum cart to your table.“

“This restaurant was a go to place for my mom in the early morning cuz it opened at 8 am. The dim sums was decent but it lacked varieties so choices were limited. Almost all dim sums costed $5.28 per dish except few bbq n special items.
Parking: During weekend around lunch time, it was difficult to find parking nearby the restaurant.“

“To be honest, I was confused. I've studied past reviews and prepared myself well before visiting, only to find that the restaurant had a new menu, which was much shorter than what was previously posted, and the food that I was looking forward to try wasn't there anymore. Perhaps the cafe had a change of management, but I was willing to give it a try.We ordered the Bun Bo Hue and beef oxtail soup, considering that it was a rainy day in LA, and I wanted something to warm myself before bedtime. The two soup bowls came covered with saran wraps, and judging from the temperature, they had just been heated separately (the Bun Bo Hue was hot, while the oxtail soup was a bit lukewarm). I had to grab my own utensils and napkins from a different counter, as the tables in the cafe were devoid of any articles. The flavours were on the right notes. The Bun Bo Hue had a mild kick, and the noodles were a great feature of the dish. The dish came with a small cup of kimchi, but it was nothing to write about. The oxtail soup was great, the soup was refreshing and subtle, and the oxtails were tender. My only complaint was that I wished mine came in warmer. All in all, I'd come again for the food, either to savour the soups, or perhaps try other dishes, though there is more to a great dining experience than just good food.“
