I was looking for a place to watch the NCAA Men’s Volleyball Semi-Finals recently so I could see my Long Beach State team in action. I found Murphy’s and the “Entertainment Director” was SUPER AWESOME to find this game on tv and make it possible for me to watch! “Love this place and I frequent it quite a bit now. Drinks are reasonable price, atmosphere is chill and sporty and bartenders are very attentive and always on point. Beer selection is nice and wide enough that I'm always having a diverse amount drinks from IPAs, blondes or whatever. Even the food is pretty nice. I usually recommend the fries.“

“A hidden gem found by accident as I stayed in the Doubletree by Hilton nearby. Excellent beef dish with sprouts and tried for the first time silkworm pulpo soup which was better than I expected once I got over the idea and look of it. Some drunk noisy obnoxious patrons to be expected but otherwise had a great meal in a small mom and pop Korean resto. Will definitely come back and try other dishes. The waitress was also very nice and although she could not speak very well English she was very polite, nice and attentive.“

Once inside, the vibe at Fiddler’s Green Pub is laid back, friendly, and surprisingly lively for a military base pub. Prices are very reasonable for both food and drinks, which makes it an easy choice whether you’re grabbing a casual lunch or winding down after a long day.

The standout for me was the onion rings: crispy, golden, and seriously addictive. Easily some of the best I’ve had anywhere.

“V Room is the quintessential Dive bar. Everything you want, nothing you don't. Service was excellent, great music, games on TV but conversation stoked by great bar tender and other patrons. No food service here, but easy to get food from nearby.
