“What a delightful place to stop and grab a delicious empanada or a boba drink. I just love the chicken adobo empanadas. The pastry is fresh, flaky, and crispy. The lightly spicy chicken and potato filling is tender and savory. So good. Be sure and try the house-made sweet chili sauce as well. For dessert, try the mango cheese cake empanada. It is tangy, fruity, rich with cream cheese and topped with a sugar-glazed crust. The prices are very affordable too!“

“I enjoyed visiting Cha Thai tea! The employees are always very welcoming and helpful with their recommendations. I really enjoyed this drink (I think it was a coconut avocado special? I forgot to look at the exact name of the drink) and pandan custard toast. I also enjoyed the mango coco the previous time I came here. They have a smaller, simpler menu that's not too overwhelming but the ingredients seem very fresh and tasty! I'll definitely be back!“

“They have a lot of choices and you can mix and match as you please. You walk in and order on the order pad. You put together your drink piece by piece - providing a lot of possible combinations. You then pay and wait for your drink to be made - which happens rather quickly. The end result is pretty good! Note: There is plenty of seating inside.“

“I ordered the strawberry colada smoothie with boba which tends to have the boba stuck at the bottom. This led to me shaking it to mix it up like most other boba places but the lid came loose and the drink spilled everywhere. The customer service was the best.

Best boba in Berkeley so far, because they are consistent with quality, taste, and business. “I ordered a strawberry matcha latte with oat milk to sip on while waiting for my friends to get brunch at Berkeley Social Club just down the street. The matcha was pretty good but the strawberry to matcha ratio was off with barely that much strawberry compote compared to the amount of matcha and milk in the drink, so once I stirred it, the strawberry flavour was minimal. I would get the matcha by itself and skip the addition of strawberry next time.“

I'm not a huge boba fan, so the drinks were ok to me but their boba is chewy and tastier than other boba.My brother likes to add a splash of Hennessey to his royal tea.Was told this is the only location in the Bay Area. Yes, one in Elk Grove but that's not the Bay.“

“I LOVE happy lemon. This is one of my favorite boba places for a fruity drink. The blended lemon drinks, which are unique to happy lemon, are my favorite. I like sweet drinks, and I'd say 100% sweetness is pretty sweet. Occasionally I'll get a milk tea, though they aren't my favorite place for such drinks. I did learn recently that a lot of drinks have sweetened condensed milk, even if you sub soy milk for the regular milk. So for anyone lactose intolerant, be sure to confirm while ordering. For this reason, I'd recommend another shop for more milk tea options.“

Donuts were super moist and springy without being greasy. It was a huge hit for the party I bought them for with both people who are mochi-nuts and ppl who’d never had them before.
