Was seated by Mary, quite a gracious hostess, to place a small appetizer order while waiting for a take out order.
While waiting for my food, I clumsily spilled my glass of red wine all over their white table cloth. Embarrassed isn't even the word! Mary, Jose and Eddie were amazing! Even brought me another glass. That's TRUST. 😆
And, to top it off, my calamari appetizer, and take out order was beyond superb.
Wonderfully appointed decor, great friendly service, outstanding food and a welcoming environment sums up all!
Said, if your going to knock over a glass of red on a white table cloth, this is the place!

“Mario’s was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The food was authentic, fresh, and full of incredible flavor — easily some of the best Italian food I’ve had in a long time. Every dish came out perfectly and you can tell they truly care about quality. I had the Cioppino and I definitely recommend getting it!

What made our experience even better was the staff and especially our waitress, Marty. She was friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcomed the entire time. Her great personality and outstanding service made our meal even more enjoyable. Kayla was also awesome.

The Lasagna “Bolognase” was out of this world. Very rich and flavorful. The homemade sausage….out of this world! My wife had The penne with red and white sauce. Again….delicious! We will be back!“

The Mama Mia panini is excellent— I was surprised at the caliber of the panini (flavorful and very fresh!), it tastes like I’m at a fancy sitdown restaurant! Service was great too. Cute dishes too!“

“Excellent real Italian restaurant. The food was delicious, the cocktails were fabulous and the desserts were to die for. I had the spaghetti and clams, which were fresh and marvelous. We had the honor and the pleasure of meeting the owner, Jack. He treated us like long-lost family and we immediately loved him. He’s very gracious and kind and he made our dining experience much more memorable and happy.
I’m impressed with the atmosphere. Very chic and very comfortable. Everything is extremely clean and well taken care of inside and outside.
I recommend this restaurant to the highest extent.
I look forward to returning here because it simply feels like “HOME”!

“We walked into Mario's on Jefferson St in La Quinta. We had the BEST service. Our server's name was Vanessa. She was wonderful. We like her (and the food ) so much we went back the next day. When we walked in, she didn't ask, she simply gave me my water with lemon, and my husband his wine. She was so wonderful I wanted to take her home. I told her when we got back to Ohio I would give her a great review. Live kind of happens, and I am sorry I took this long to review you. I hope to be back. I was born and grew up in Southern California, and spent so much time as a child in Palm Springs. I think my husband took pity on how homesick I was, and we went everywhere. If I wasn't vegan, I would have ordered their delicious pizza!!! I will be back Vanessa. You are wonderful“

“The food was excellent! I rarely can find squash blossoms and when I saw them on the menu I knew I had to order. These are often seasonal and very hard to find. They were incredible. Piping hot, crispy on the outside and creamy in the middle. They are served with Marinara. I prefer honey drizzle or agave so I added my own. My mouth was singing their praises. I’m looking forward to trying so many tasty bites I saw on the menu. Two thumbs up for me.“

“Small location in la quinta and good pizza - what really got me was charging extra to make the pizza a true chicago deep dish pizza by an extra 2$? isn’t the standard supposed to be chicago deep dish already? you set the menu and prices why is extra. pizza was good but i didn’t pay extra so i got the flat crust“

“My boyfriend (a competitive pool player) and I are in town visiting and needed a place to practice. This place has 3 nice pool tables and everyone is super nice. We talked to the owner for a bit and he is such a nice, down to earth guy. Some of these reviews state otherwise but from my experience those people just need something to complain about. Great atmosphere and people. Will be coming here everytime we visit.“
