“I usually order cakes a few days ahead from this place but this time it was a last minute thing. Walked in and was greeted by a very kind woman whose name tag said she was in training. She was a joy! Made my day. I always alternate between the coconut and red velvet and they’ve consistently been outstanding for years. 10/10“

Avocado toast, truffle melt and cauliflower lavash tacos were so yum!!!! Their cakes are beautiful and delish too, gotta order in advance! Service is always excellent! Limited parking, but can park on the meters.“
“Could not recommend Sugar Babies more! I reached out to Mae via email to inquire about a dessert spread for a baby shower. I sent along some inspiration photos for the theme and requested a quote and she got back to me with the best prices in the LA area. Not only did the desserts turn out so cute, they were delicious too! Such a big hit with the guests. Mae was great with communicating via email exchange and pick up on the day of was seamless. We will definitely be reaching out to Mae and her team for more events and dessert needs.“

“We just placed an order for our wedding cake. Irvine was amazing! He shared his favorites with us and we were able to try different flavors. Honestly, we still had other cake shops to visit, but it was his attentive service that made us decide and place an order on the spot. I can't wait to receive our cake so I can show the pictures. I will say that that every flavor we tried was delicious. We had the marble, vanilla with buttercream, red velvet, and lemon cakes. The place is super clean and very well lit. The cakes look beautiful in their display cases, and the staff look amazing in their pink bandannas. “Greeted kindly from the second I walked in! The lovely ladies working there today (Wednesday) late morning/early noon made my experience worth the drive! Drove from Santa Monica to get the celebration cake at this location for my mom's birthday. I also picked up beautiful heart sparkler candles and cute mini party hats from the beautiful table set up with a variety of candles and last minute necessities for the occasion! Will definitely make the drive for the wonderful service and cake options!“

“My friend and I were looking for a snack after eating we found this place! They have a good assortment of Bundt cakes and don't skimp on the icing! Individual cakes are $6 each and you can get a dozen for $72, good for a party! There was only one woman working (like I said, don't be in a hurry), but she was personable and efficient enough. It looks like they do platters and arrangements, see the pics for a better handle on what they offer! Cool place and a guilty pleasure! I'd give this place five stars if it weren't for the parking. “I've always driven by this place. You can smell the baking scent. I finally tried it. When I enter any new places, I always say "it's my first time here...". The cupcakes were delicious. The pie was amazing. Not too sweet. The service could have been more informative, personable and fun. Don't get me wrong, they were not unfriendly. “I visited this bakery with my friend and it was such a chill experience. It's in an inconspicuous spot on Beverly Blvd but once you see it, it's hard to miss. Parking is plenty on the street across from it. Just make sure to check the times for street sweeping. Once inside, they have a little market area on the left where you can purchase snacks and drinks, in the front left is their bakery items and the right is where the food buffet is where you can order combo plates. My friend and I ordered the Rellenitos-mashed plantains stuffed with sweet black beans (make sure to ask for Crema! Sour cream!), Pache-potato tamales with pork, pupusa with pork and cheese, a Concha, and 1 Atol De Elote. The Rellenitos were so yummy! They were fried to perfection with plenty of sweet black beans inside. Adding the sour cream with it added a savory kick which I really enjoyed. Pache-I have never had a potato tamales before so this was a new experience. The texture is very interesting. It kind of reminds me of silken tofu with a grit to it if that makes sense. Smooth but with a bite. The tomato sauce on top was the perfect balance of sweet and sour and I really enjoyed that it wasn't salty at all. It had a good amount of meat inside as well. Pupusa with pork and cheese-this was my favorite! It came with this red sauce and pickled cabbage of sorts and it was the most delicious together! The flavor of the sauce balanced out the cheese and pork and the cabbage added a lovely texture. Concha-sorry for no picture but it was very good. It's smaller than the Mexican concha's that I grew up eating. The bread was not as sweet which I liked and I enjoyed the texture. While chewy, it had a fluffiness to it. Atol De Elote-this drink was at the perfect temperature to enjoy. It had chunks of corn in it as well. The taste reminds me of a corn porridge but less sweet. It's more of dessert drink for me!“
