“Walking distance from my place in Beverly Grove L.A. and boy am I glad. First found them in Manhattan and was delighted when they opened here. Good old chocolate cake does it for me, tho sometimes I swing vanilla, & the BF loves the Banana Pudding. Gotta say I'm not a fan of their new prepackaged cake slices. I prefer seeing it sliced from the whole cake right before my very eyes the way Mom did it and God intended. The way they have slices now, in stacks of plastic boxes, makes it seem more like you're getting them from a vending machine than an old-time bakery. I guess it makes transactions quicker, but I hope they reconsider.“

“My Mother’s Day (party day) order included 5 dozen mini cupcakes, 2 cakes, and some whoopie pies! I got home and realized my order was missing a dozen red velvet cupcakes. I called the studio city location for a refund on those since I had no time to go back to the bakery before the party (please open a location in Santa Clarita @susiesarich 😂). Instead, they same day delivered my cupcakes PLUS sent additional cookies and Mother’s Day treats for no additional cost to me😭❤️ I was SO amazed by the gracious customer service. “The Marino’s staff did an amazing job on our wedding cake! Not only did it look stunning, but it was absolutely delicious. The staff was very attentive during our consult and was able to create exactly what we asked for. Our nieces were delighted when they learned that the beautiful flower decorations were edible! “Julian delivered outstanding customer service during an incredibly busy rush at Cold Stone. Despite a full establishment and a steady stream of customers continuing to come in, he remained completely focused on giving every single person an excellent experience. He worked quickly without ever rushing, making sure each order was done right the first time.

Even with a long line, Julian took his time at the register to ensure accuracy, double-checking orders and even asking if we had a punch card to use, something that could easily be overlooked when working solo under pressure. His professionalism, attention to detail, and calm demeanor stood out and made the experience enjoyable for everyone waiting.

I honestly couldn’t help but feel for him being on his own-he definitely could have used some support but he handled it all with efficiency and a positive attitude.

“The goal was to look for a nice cake at a good price since the cake wasn’t going to be the center of attention. I showed Joanie some examples of some cakes I thought were beautiful but I was sure it would be too expensive to do. She helped me alter the design we picked just a little bit to stay on budget and let me tell you, this cake was PERFECT. We even placed it next to the champagne tower to display it for all to see. Not only did it look pretty but it also just tasted delicious. While the cake was meant to be an area we were trying to save money and keep our expectation low, it turned out completely opposite and we ended up with an absolutely beautiful cake at an incredible price. Thank you!! My only regret is not getting to eat more!“

“I guess it’s been over a year since I last came in, according to the timetable that my barista today gave me since the new renovation. However, I don’t think so, it feels like I’ve just been there just a few months ago maybe a year ago if I really had to push it. Anyway, came in this afternoon and had super, super sweet customer service by my barista Jess. Who made a really good flat white. And super sweet conversation as well with Steve the manager and Nathan.
The new interior design is nice, but me personally I preferred and liked the old style. Just seemed more sweet, cozy and welcoming. I said it all the time, customer service to me is on the top of the list of what makes me return to a business. Let alone recommend them or write them good reviews. Today’s interaction with these three employees definitely made me want to return.
Now the Beverly Hills location is my literal neighborhood location, but I wouldn’t mind going out my way to come to this one. My primary reason for stopping by today was picking up a Too Good To Go. Never disappoints lol overall, I am extremely pleased with this location. Highly recommend them for a fantastic cup of coffee, a sweet treat. I know I’ll be back.“

The older lady wanted to help, but something was not allowing her. 15 years coming here. I would leave 1 star, but I don't want to damage the business because of a bad employees behavior. “Five stars for the woman who worked there on Saturday. She made me my oreo, sweet cream and sprinkles on top. In a waffle cup. Kind of pricey but it hit the spot. Some women spotted me with my ice cream and commented on how good it looked. I told them where I got it. Little did they know how much effort I went through to get it. Ie all the driving and talking to other Cold Stones to find the best store.“

“Stopped by with my partner recently after a late lunch at Dave's and got a couple of cones with a few toppings each. The ice cream was delicious and the staff was totally friendly and up for questions, they asked if we wanted samples as well which we declined. Their ice cream ice on the pricey side, something around 8 or 9 dollars each, but it was A LOT in a big crunchy waffle cone, as I say often; you get what you pay for.

I do wish they had had pretzel pieces to mix in. Seems like an easy win.

The staff even looked all around when I came back a half hour or so later concerned I dropped my debit card.

If I still had a local one in SLO I would be inclined to stop by after the good experience here.“
