“We came here for a coworker's birthday. They called ahead and prepared a special menu with our names on it, along with homemade cheesecake and whipped cream. We ordered the prime rib, broccoli and French onion soup. For the price, I would rate the steak 8.5/10. The service and ambiance of the restaurant was great. Highly recommended for dates, family dinners or corporate/clients.“

“Besides the fact that many of "my artists" stay in this ultra-luxurious hotel: As a Pretty Woman fan (aren't we all?), this hotel has a special magic to me. As we had our daughter with her boyfriend over for a ten-day vacation, I thought of taking them for a special treat to a champagne brunch yesterday as a surprise. We started the day with a beautiful rose Laurent Perrier - and then the girls had the best avocado toast ever, while I went all the way with a Maine lobster egg benedict - yummy. The hotel brought in the desert on the left as a little extra - it's a pumpkin-spiced croissant. I know, you would never guess by its shape, but it is the same dough and lawyers - fingerpicking good. So if you come to LA and are up to celebrate something special or just give yourself an extra-treat: it's definitely worth it!“

“My experience at NikuX was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff was remarkably kind. Kevin, who was in charge of our table, provided attentive and courteous service, and his recommendation of the Miso Chilean Seabass was even better than Nobu’s. Each dish was fresh and made with evident care.
I was particularly impressed by how Kevin and the floor manager consistently checked in on our meal throughout the dining experience. Their willingness to listen to even minor feedback was something I had not encountered in any other buffet, which left a lasting impression.
It was a rare opportunity to enjoy a satisfying luxury buffet in LA. Personally, I found NikuX to be a more valuable dining experience than the buffet at Cafe S in H Hotel, in terms of quality, pricing, and service.
Thank you.“

“The vibes at Wolfsglen are immaculate. Walking in feels like stepping into a trendy loft in DTLA, with every detail, from the ceiling to the chairs, and even the art, exuding quality and style. The atmosphere is both chic and comfortable, creating the perfect setting for a memorable dining experience.
As for the food—mouthwatering is an understatement. Every dish left me craving more, and even after leaving, I found myself imagining just one more bite. The flavors were incredibly well-balanced and satisfying. The staff? Lax yet attentive, striking the right balance between relaxed service and making sure you have everything you need.
I left Wolfsglen stuffed and overjoyed, thrilled to have discovered this gem. It’s definitely going to be a frequent spot for me, and one I’ll be recommending to all my friends. If you’re looking for a spot that delivers on atmosphere and flavor, this is it.“

“Elegant dining experience with a modern-city flair.
The food is superb. Flavorful steaks with delicious side offerings. The only surprise was the method of how the steaks came delivered to the table. Contrary to other steakhouses I have been to, this establishment does not bring the steak on a hot-sizzling plate. Nevertheless, the steak is on point and hits the mark. Many appetizers to choose from. The seafood-oyster-escargot platter was treat but definitely would only suggest for a larger party as it is plenty of sampling.
The wine pair offerings were ample but as you would expect at an establishment like this the prices are three to four times average price. This establishment only allows up to two bottles to bring with (plus corkage). Thus for larger parties be prepared to pay hefty for the extra wine bottles you may need to supplement.
The decor throughout the grille was nice. Several larger art pieces and other wall decor adds to the ambience of the downtown grille. If you bring a large party the room provided to you is not as private as you imagine as it is housed right next to the bar and only separated by a curtain. The other side of the grille is much more quieter.
Staff was nice and welcoming. Our server was kind and can hold a conversation upon any topic that was discussed at our party. Enjoyed my first time experience. Recommend for date night, etc.
Parking: Valet parking is only what I noticed here. Take an uber instead.“

“We were recommended to eat at Bruin Plate if we wanted a healthy lunch while we were visiting the UCLA campus. It's definitely different than Griffin/Sunset/Covel Commons. It's hard to tell from the outside but it's quite large after we entered. Lots of places to sit and natural lighting everywhere. There are at least 5 different stations available for lunch. Some of the stations open and close based on when you get out of your seat to look for more to eat.It is true, the food is quite healthy. Even the chocolate has zucchini on the inside. It's not the typical pizza, spaghetti, pasta, burger, or generic lunch. It's also not a Vegas buffet. It's quite unique. My favorite was the beef and barley soup. That was outstanding.Would I come back? Yes, but I would go for a dinner experience when all the stations are open. That would definitely be a fun experience.“

“I've never seen a menu that flowed so well from one dish to the next. You can tell that ingredients were used across multiple courses. It's very mushroom heavy, so I hope you like all fungi. Atmosphere is very spa-like. Simple designs, earth tones and low candle light. It's a bit on the pricey side compared to other experiences. We may have paid more for NYE and it looked like the same menu as a normal night. No Champagne. Didn't do the wine pairings, already spent over $1k in total for two with 3 glasses of wine. You do get caviar and truffle, and the other ingredients are top notch. Then the pigeon comes out. Squab is a young domesticated pigeon. Sure it's good, but it just didn't fit with the meal. You can get a full pressed duck at the other restaurant (Pasjoli) and I think this concept was carried over; using the the juices of the Squab in the next dish. Finally the transition to sweeter dishes was perfection. The Squab liver truffle with mushroom dust, the hazelnut cream and caviar, and the dish with crumbled black sesame I will remember forever. Service was perfection. You begin and end with tea. Our final refreshing mint tea was too sweet. Parking in the garage underneath the building was easy and costs $12.
