“I wanted to share a quick recommendation for Mariposa, a hidden gem inside Neiman Marcus that I visit often for lunch.

Every time we visit, we are greeted by an exceptionally attentive and warm host whose passion for hospitality really sets the tone. The food is delicious—I highly recommend the lobster salad, though the Wagyu burger is my personal favorite. While the atmosphere feels a bit dated, it is very relaxing and provides a great backdrop for excellent food and service.

It is definitely a must-try if you are ever in the area! Thank you Jesus for the hospitality and attentiveness!

“We came here for a coworker's birthday. They called ahead and prepared a special menu with our names on it, along with homemade cheesecake and whipped cream. We ordered the prime rib, broccoli and French onion soup. For the price, I would rate the steak 8.5/10. The service and ambiance of the restaurant was great. Highly recommended for dates, family dinners or corporate/clients.“

“Niku X is definitely one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in LA. The food is incredible—A5 Wagyu, king crab, and even tomahawk steak. Honestly, it’s hard to pick a favorite because everything was so good🤩 The sea bass really stood out for me—so tender and flavorful. And the desserts? Amazing. The sesame cake, in particular, was a surprise hit. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients. The atmosphere is modern and spacious, which makes it really comfortable, and the service was excellent. If you’re into seafood or Wagyu, this place is a must-try. Definitely worth a visit!👍🏻“

“Lunch was $22 (for students), so come hungry!

Flavorful cooked cous cous and beans!
The lettuce wrap taco was SO GOOD.
Their chicken thighs are juicy.
The pink thing (2nd image) had a pleasant sourish flavor.
The beef thing on the top of my picture was just okay, definitely not my favorite

The desserts gained my mom's approval, and she's very picky with desserts (especially with the quality of cream). She got a mini apple cinnamon pie and loved that the cinnamon flavor isn't too strong.

You'd love it here if you love buffets and don't mind spending more. I don't do very well on buffets so I wouldn't personally come here often even though the food is good.

Also, you will have to leave your bags and backpacks outside before you come here, so that is a bit annoying“

From the individual attention that David gave from the second you enter the den and he starts crafting your first cocktail through the multiple courses and wine pairings, this is a dining event not to be missed. Chef Alan and Jenny (the mainstays) rotate guest chefs like Tetsu and Chef Jet through each week to provide an unforgettable look at artisans truly taking joy in their craft. My wife and I had a fantastic experience, enjoying the story behind each dish and the wine pairing that came with it. I don't want to give too much away, but this is a SoCal food event you really shouldn't miss.“

“This place is amazing. The vibe, the ambiance, the food! The live jazz, the customer service! Love love loveee! I got the Cajun chicken pasta and I had no clue it’d be as good as it was. I was impressed on all levels. The only thing I’d say is that when the live band is playing it is loud so you can’t converse while they are playing but that it to be expected. Everything was 10/10!!“
