“From the moment we walked through the doors of The Sur House, we felt genuinely welcomed. The hostesses greeted us with warmth and kindness, setting the tone for what turned out to be a wonderful evening. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and struck the perfect balance of being available without ever making us feel rushed. The service was exceptional from start to finish. One thing we especially appreciated was that our server let us taste a few wines before we ordered our glasses. We ended up finding one we absolutely loved, and it made the experience feel even more personalized. Every detail felt thoughtful, from the refreshing palate cleanser between courses to ending the evening with the s'mores bar, which was such a fun and memorable touch. The food was excellent overall. The chicken dish and steak were both cooked to perfection and were absolute highlights of the meal. The only reason I didn't give the food a perfect score was because the salad could have used a bit more dressing and toppings, and the pasta was slightly dry. Those were minor critiques in an otherwise outstanding meal. What truly sets The Sur House apart is the hospitality. Every interaction with the staff made us feel valued, and it's clear the team genuinely cares about creating a memorable experience. “This is a nice, above average experience for dining in the Carmel Valley. Cocktails were superb. Quality of food has elevated, and I had an amazing steak - tender and juicy. Salad was flavorful. They seem to have a good selection of wines. The bar area was spacious and nice looking. The overall ambience was elevated and decorated with great taste. Service was superb and Henry took great care of us throughout our experience. I think this could be a great dining destination for people in the area looking for a nice time and experience.“

I would always come here for the wings, fish & chips and today all of us decided to have the ribeye steak. Cooked to perfection, simple is better, filling and so juicy. Felt like good ol’ home cooking, fun and easy listening county music, fun décor all around and the service was perfectly welcoming, kind and attentive. No doubt as to why this is a local favorite with a small town, good people feeling ❤️❤️❤️ I should have taken photos… next time 😉“
