“Great social place to get great beer. Definitely dog friendly, lots of seating inside and out. The food comes from a food truck in the back. “Ya gotta go to the Trident Room at the Hotel Del Monte on the Naval Post Graduate School campus/grounds. The building is old and simply amazing. Check out the huge ballroom before going down stairs to the bar at the Trident Room. When we went inside for drinks and appetizers on a Saturday night during Car Week in Monterey County, we were greeted by several bar keeps, waiter/servers and such. All three guys and the lady working the bar/tables were beyond polite, courtesy, spirited and had their acts together. It really seemed as though they were happy to be there and enjoyed their jobs. We had some great Manhattans and good wings and tomato soup. You must check out the history on this place and this room. I bet lots of sea stories and war stories have been discussed here. A worthwhile stop here indeed.“

“My wife and I had a wonderful time during a day-trip last Sunday, 4/12/26. Our server did a great job of attending to our every whim and request! The ambience was fantastic and even though it rained a little, moving into the bar area was another experience in itself. We can't thank em enough for giving us such a memorable experience!“

“The bartender was very nice. He let us know the kitchen was about to close, and to get our food orders in. The food was very yummy. The patty was smaller than I expected, but tasty and well cooked. My daughter loved the waffle fries, and husband liked the tots. We had a couple drinks, ate, it was a very chill lunch we enjoyed.“

Top Pizza in Monterey. Margherita Pizza and Pesto Chicken are excellent. Great selection of beer and wine - mixed drinks too.

“Food and service was amazing! French onion soup and calamari to start. We both had the hanger steak which blew my mind. Cooked perfectly. Dessert was creme brulee and panna cotta both were amazing. Much more affordable and humble than anything in carmel by the sea and equally good if not better. Will definitely return for dinner again.“

“We had a wonderful experience dining at The Covey. We sat at a window table with a view of their water feature. The staff was extremely attentive and friendly. My husband ordered the Branzino and I had the Chicken Saltimbocca. Both dishes were excellent! Not only were the proteins cooked to perfection but the vegetables and farro that accompanied them were also very good. We look forward to dining here again.“
