“This must be the best sushi I have eaten in California in a really long time. The fish is extremely fresh, and the portions are generous. They focus on the fish and not the amount of rice. All the seasoning is so on point, and they keep it real without adding a ton of sauces or other distractions. I would come back any time when I'm in town. It can get busy during dinnertime, so either make a reservation or be prepared to wait for a little bit. They do offer outdoor seating.“

“I tried something new today, the hot Turkey open face sandwich smothered in a wonderful mushroom gravy. OMG 😱 So good ! And my salad was the perfect size to complement the large portion of the hot Turkey. I added a little Tabasco cause that what I do. I thought I was finished until the little waitress offered dessert 🍨. I ordered a piece of their home made apple 🍎 pie 🎉🎊😱. People let me tell you this is a bucket lister. With out a doubt the best apple pie I have ever had. And yes they make it from scratch. Great lunch experience today ! Ok so my 5 stars probably was counter productive (that was just my consensus speaking). But no really you don't want to go here, in less it is Mon, not tuse cause they are closed, wed Thur Fri then I suppose they have some tables I will be willing to share... In all earnest the food is amazing , the staff is perfection the place is cute as a button and the owner is always there and sooooooo kind and the way he interacts with his staff, it is just the kind of place you are happy to spend your money. It is such a wonder place. A must go if a visitor and a must go often if a local! (Just not when I want a table LOL)“

“I wanted to write the perfect review but I won't be able to do that. The people there were so nice and so warm. The location is in an old house in historic downtown Pacific Grove. But I can't let this go, the prices were high (as expected) and then they did the old trick of, "Did you want chorizo with that"....without telling you it's a $6 upcharge for two teaspoons added on top of your $17 plate of chiliquilies. So for $23, you get a full plate, I mean piled high of tortilla chips covered in a homemade red sauce (delicious). A table or teaspoonful of queso fresco per the recipe (delicious), two fried eggs, and sour cream on the side, (awesome). Most recipes for this dish that I've eaten will offer a choice of protein. Chorizo is a very common breakfast protein for this recipe. I would argue that it should be part of the recipe regardless but if you ask people, "Do you want chorizo on that?", many will say yes for the reasons I mentioned above. But when the bill comes watch out. It was a $6 upcharge to my $17 choice of breakfast. If it's an upcharge you have to tell me in advance. "Do I want it?", is one question. "Do I want it for the price you will charge me?", has to be a separate question. If it's some amount that high, an extra 1/3 of the price of my breakfast, then you shoudl feel extremely obligated to tell me how much. Don't make me feel like an a-hole bringing up your sketchy business upcharge practices to you in the middle of a super-packed breakfast/brunch rush when you hand me the bill. I didn't bring it up but I wanted to, very badly. As good as the meal was the experience left a bad taste in my mouth and more than a week later I'm still shaking my head about it. For a place that thrives on tourist and word-of-mouth business, there's no reason for this type of shady business antics which leads someone like me who otherwise really enjoyed this place to go to the trouble of leaving a bad review. I probably won't go back due to this.“

“Vegan Thai Way makes Thai food just the way we like it. We particularly like the ginger stir fry with tofu, mango sticky rice, and spring rolls. The prices are reasonable and the service is fast. We order without spice to really taste the fresh vegatables that they use. Parking is convenient and the staff is friendly. We always enjoy our experience there.“

“This is a great restaurant for family dining; we had a party of 8 with ages 3 to 86 and really enjoyed our experience. Our table sampled the menu from Middle Eastern to European to pizza, and each dish was skillfully prepared and tasty. The service and atmosphere are friendly and unpretentious, which made us feel like we were dining with neighbors. Eating here isn't just about the food but having a fun, relaxing meal out with family.“

“I once again he had the grilled salmon and steamed broccoli and it was delicious. And had a small amount of a cream sauce on it, which kept it moist. My two friends both had pasta dishes one was a gnocchi, actually in a short rib sauce and the other Friend had a Ragu rigatoni. Those were unbelievably mouthwatering satisfying. They paired it with a nice Pinot and it was delightful when I tasted theirs. I liked my salmon and no doubt and would order it again as I have, but after tasting their, it was so savory. I can't remember our waiters name, but he has waited on us several times. I know that he must recognize us as we recognize him, but he never seems to acknowledge that which is a little disappointing, but he's a good waiter and we appreciated his efforts. My reason for four stars as it was a little loud. It was a Wednesday night rainy but packed as usual. I wish the fireplace was on because it would've made a little bit more cozy.“

The pad see ew (sp?) & Penang Curry is The best I've ever had and I've been all over Thailand and visited Penang, Malaysia. Her story involving her adorable daughter is inspiring as well. It's worth the drive / hunt to find this special treasure.“
