“Best sushi I’ve ever had. My husband and I came here on a date night whim and now I will be dreaming about this meal. So so yummy. Our server was so kind. We are not from this area but will definitely making some more trips out.🎉 Would’ve left pictures of the food but it was so yummy I couldn’t stop to take a picture.“

“Hands down best sushi between Los Angeles and Riverside. Hidden gem with a $30 AYCE(all you can eat) option*. This is now my sushi spot!!
* 3 rounds whatever you want in each round, no sharing, and you pay for the excess. Thems the rules.“

“Would try their other items. Overall, Friendly speedy service. Affordable. $10 for Shrimp Soba Noodles and $8.00 for 8 piece spicy tuna rolls.
NOT ENOUGH SHRIMP! I thought the noodles would have been unique. Nope. They're your typical noodles that you get in Top Ramen bags. Noodles and shrimp were tasty and fresh, but nothing too unique from spicy noodles you make at home. Overall 6/10.“

“I used to live within a 3 minute walk, the staff is always doing kind things & from experience they are nothing short of angels. Stopping in for a warm soup on a cold day from here is something everyone should experience atleast once in their life. Anyways, food always hits, prices aren't bad, cute spot. Their combo plate is fire and their eggrolls will have a little spot in my nostalgic heart. Food is always blazing hot (in a good way.) It is in a mildly sketchy place which seems to be getting worse over the years, but don't let that deter you from enjoying this little gem.“

“Been going here since I was young, always had great prices, great servers, and great environment. It is a local spot that is always feeling welcoming and has a good energy, highly recommend to anyone who is seeking for a quick bite, and a place to just get good sushi. A Rancho favorite and will always be.“

“They had a variety of food to choose from. Noodles were very delicious, I got the spicy & my daughter got the classic. Their California rolls were also very good. The service was amazing! We had a young girl take our order & she was very sweet. Can’t wait to go back again!
Parking: It’s a huge parking lot so you won’t have a hard time finding parking
Kid-friendliness: The atmosphere was very nice, my kid didn’t feel overstimulated from it.“

“I finally made my way to try Kotsu Ramen and Gyoza a few weeks ago and fell in love with the Kotsu Kick deluxe. I have been back a few times since and really enjoy coming to enjoy a meal. Delicious flavor, relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff. I hope to try more on the menu in the future!“

“Great place. Always get either a chicken plate or a chicken & teriyaki plate. Other entrees like the yakisoba noodles are great. Unfortunately they close on weekends, so stop by during the week.

“Really good Japanese food!
Not a lot of "fresh sushi" variety. Mainly cooked and deep fried
Price is a tiny bit high for the atmosphere and location. But worth it in my opinion.
Kid-friendliness: Kid options“

“Packed with basically all full seats, but the lines were extremely short (especially compared to other places nearby where you couldn't even tell where the line was because there are crowds of people standing and waiting).
Service was superb. We thought it was fast-food style but they actually do table service! We kept accidentally making them ho back and forth for more utensils, drinks, sy sauce, etc, but they were very patient with us.
Family of 5 WILL be over $100 with not much leftovers, but everyone will be nice and full.
If you can't do spicy then I recommend the Truffle Ramen! (with truffle oil).
The atmospheric music is loud and sort of rave-like.“

“This place is bomb. Great veiw of the mountain, friendly staff, good food and beer. To be honest, I'm not the biggest sushi fan. But any of the dishes I've tried have been great. All the fried rice or teriyaki options are well worth it and a good sized portion. Short rib, teriyaki dishes and tempura also bomb. My absolute favorite dish is the tofu fried rice woth no egg, well done with the hitest hot sauce they have. Simply amazing when they do the tofu a little extra crispy and you get a large kirin ichiban to go with it.“

“Food was super good we got to sit with a fun table chefs are very interactive and fun. They had a very good drink menu my wife and I both enjoyed a few cocktails. The place could use some cleaning but with the amount of food that flies around that place I guess it's kind of hard to keep up with“

“I got the Steak and Shrimp bowl with brown rice and veggies…it was really good and flavorful but I wasn’t pleased that the shrimp wasn’t cleaned…the mud vein clearly visible on the 5 shrimp in the bowl…I picked the shrimp out and ate the steak…paid $12 for a bowl been nice if the shrimp were cleaned…won’t stop me from eating there again, I just won’t order any shrimp.“

“Incredible atmosphere and service, The food was good, but the rice for the California roll was a little dry. I reccomend the rainbow roll, because it is cooked perfectly. the fish to rice ratio is perfect, not too much rice, but not too little.“

“My first visit on Monday, the gentleman taking orders was very helpful. He explained the menu and what he would recommend due to all my answers to his questions. I ate there as they had two tables available. Took my daughter there. Saturday for dinner.“

“Nice place to have lunch! Today I ordered campechana and sushi - where else can you get both? There is a selection of Mexican favorites, sushi, and beverages, including some beer. The food is fresh and looks appetizing, and the service is excellent.
UPDATE 7/2024: Still awesome! Great California rolls, Jurupa rolls, and Aguas frescos. Prices have increased since my last re iew, but still worth it!“

“Honestly the poke here is amazing, I kinda looked down on it at first due to the price and comparing the portions to panda next door but the amount of fish/protein you get for a normal is amazing. Definitely a more healthy alternative to the more greasy food around. I would argue that its better than some poke places off campus. Like other reviews have said the line does get long around 12-1 pm so I have always gone around 11am or 2pm+. Depends on your schedule obv. Thank you to all the student workers!“

“Updated: May 2025 - Still True
Best sushi place with a Mexican style twist. Good service time always. Try their pickled onions with anything, It's great. If you are particular about chili oils, ask for your chili oil on the side so they don't accidentally put too much.“

“Delicious and Friendly. I almost allowed the bad reviews to keep me from going. But, we decided to go anyway and I am glad we did. The food was so delicious and the service was impeccable. We ordered two rolls and hibachi. The main difference is that we don't have to sit around the hibachi tables and watch the show. I actually enjoyed that part. No hot fire in my face, making me hot. But, the food was really delicious and flavorful. Perhaps, more flavorful, then your typical Hibachi spots. I will definitely be returning. The Manger Kuko was so good to us. We had a party of 4 and did not have to pay any extra fees. However, the surcharge is only 3% and it helps them keep their prices reasonable and I can respect that. Other Hibachi places are a little more expensive. I will be back!!!“

“It's pretty good I wish they would give u a little more. The best place I've went to so far is hibachi on time the portion they give is alot more and it's on $30 bucks but any way. I anit mad midnight taste very good steak was very soft and everything was seasoned very well. I will be back because my favorite place anit open any more?. The told me $38 but when I got there it was $43 I guess because taxes or something and that was the first time I had to pay taxes on a food truck I don't know maybe because I got 2 extra yum yum sauces, the sauce is good to. This is about experience right so I'm giving my 2 cent if u know what u mean. Overall it was good out of my top 3 hibachi trucks they are 1 because both of the other places anit open anymore right now. I guess u can say it's worth it. I wish it was a little more though I had to fight my kids for it because it wasn't enough ?. They loved it.“
